He even came during an emergency event where he didn't even know me as a client and I needed an electrician so bad and he came immediately to help me. I've dealt with a few electricians with owning this home and he is by far the most exceptional and great person to work with. They take their time explaining situations to us, repair issues at a reasonable rate, and even dropped what they were doing and rushed over to our house when I reported being electrocuted in our home, which is an hour away. Unfortunately the situation in our home is continuing, but four other electricians have been stumped as well as to what is causing the random electrocutions. Of all of the electricians we've had thus far, Omar and his crew have uncovered more of the issues, tested electronic equipment for leaking power and has shown genuine concern and empathy for us. Rob Gunther's company name says it all "Complete Installation Services" and every word is true.  We…read morelive in Hudson NY which is a small city below Albany and across the river from Ulster County where Rob is located.  He cheerfully agreed to install four 93"Long Skylight Blackout Shades for us on our glass enclosed porch, to help keep the room cool on sunny days.  Previously we had an awning that covered the sloping roof, but squirrels decided to tear it apart during the Winter to add a little canvas to their nest.  Rob readily agreed to do this project, despite the fact that our very capable handyman was stymied with the project.  Our handyman worked on it for hours and was sure that the manufacturer had botched the order.  When we phoned Rob he agreed that the installation of shades could be daunting, and skylight shades were the most difficult.  He was one of the nicest and most talented workmen we've ever had here and he installed all four shades in record time - under 2 hours which included the removal of old aluminum blinds.  We highly recommend Rob for all window treatment projects as well as audio/video projects.  We will call Rob for all our future projects.  He measures, installs and services all his work.  He charges a very fair price for his services and is friendly - who could ask for more?

I would have given a 5 star review on both appliances and delivery but the stupidly expensive green european Miele washing machine arrived from the factory with an error code that required service under warranty. Took almost three weeks to get resolved with one diagnostic service call and one repair part service call. Having said all that, Alex the service guy was aces! We live in a world that's increasingly dominated by giant corporations. They succeed because they…read moreare everywhere, they often make it easy to shop with them, and because they can often undercut the smaller local spots when it comes to prices. I made the mistake of ordering a gas range from one of these giant corporations, and it turned out to be a giant problem. They delivered but couldn't handle the installation, and then they couldn't take the stove with them, and then the guys who came to pick it up were rude and caused more issues, etc. So I did what I should've done, and I called Earl B. Feiden, and they helped me out, and solved my problem. I got to talk to an actual person (thanks Ken!), and I laid out what I needed (a gas range in a non-standard size), and where the potential problem might arise (it needed to be converted to propane), and they handled it like pros. Sometimes it may cost you a little more time and a tiny bit more hassle (if you consider talking to an actual person a hassle, not a pleasure like I do) to go with the smaller shop, but I highly recommend buying local. It worked out for me with Earl B. Feiden. And in the end, the range I got ended up being cheaper than the one from the big box store anyway.
