I have had aches and pains in the middle of my back for a long time. The ache was constant whether I was sitting or standing. I could not stand for any length of time. I experienced pain when I bent to my right. My back ached when I woke up in the morning. Maybe I needed a new mattress. I thought it was part of growing old.
