Leaving a review because the front desk mentioned my massage therapist was relatively new to the team and she deserves hype. I'm not exactly sure how to spell her name but Phelicia (Felicia?) was absolutely amazing. I went in with a really sore neck and upper back and woke up the next day (almost) completely cured.. She was super perceptive to all my kinks and knots and just had really great technique and VERY strong in the best way. Really appreciated what she did for me and I will be back. I'll have to agree with Toral K.'s review a little bit. This location is very conveniently located, although when you walk in, it does still have a sort of strip mall type of layout. Cucumber infused water is always a nice touch. My husband treated me and him to a couple's massage to celebrate my birthday. We've had couple's massages before so we already knew what to expect. Our appointment was for 3pm, but they seemed to be running a bit behind. (Which at the time was kind of bothersome because we had other plans to attend right after) Overall, our massages where very nice for the introductory $49.95, not sure that those massages were worth $100 each regularly. It did seem though that there could have totally been more massaging. As in, a lot of time was used repositioning and moving blankets/sheets, etc. As we paid for our services, the woman behind the counter didn't seem to know exactly how to redeem our gift certificate and she had to ask a co-worker for help. read more

Been a fan for some time - and a review is LONG overdue. The hubs and I have been going for a few years now, off and on. This year, renewed our membership...how unlucky that "the world" decided to change and keep us from going for a few months. The hubs and I used to trade off massage therapists, depending on who we were in the mood for (as each therapist has their own style), but ultimately, after experiencing a number of therapists, have settled on Joshua and Andrew as our favorites. Both very thorough, and neither messes around when it comes to deep tissue (which is our preferred "strength") - we're always sore in the best way the next day. But this weekend, however, I was able to enjoy the added benefit of some reiki from Joshua. I've felt kind of "stuck" for a while and haven't had a reiki session in many years. The blending of both wasn't just physically blissful, but well over 24 hours later, my energies are feeling more balanced than I have a loooooong while. The wonderful thing about this facility isn't just the wonderful staff. Their service offerings have really expanded over the years and of all the massage spas I've visited, they're really the best. It's a clean, quiet, calm and thoroughly lovely experience every time. You really do feel like the staff cares about your experience...and even with the "state of the world," have created a consisted level of care. They're just fantastic! read more

Facial was very nice, price for the facial was a little steep I believe. The introductory massage price was nice, but it wasn't good enough that I would come back. She did the same repetitive motions with firm pressure for half of the time, so now those areas are sore too. she didn't work on the areas that I told her I needed work on. I tried this place for the first time a few months ago. They were able to fit me in the same day for a massage. My masseuse was Katie. She was very kind and she made me feel so relaxed. So relaxed that I most definitely nodded off for at least a few. They have a variety of other great services available, including floating, which I am a big fan of. I have not utilized any of these other services yet, but am looking forward to it at some point! They do have a variety of different packages and pricing for the services as well. As a first timer, they did give me a new customer discount for the massage. I have looked at the many options available, but still have not made the leap. It is not because I do not like this place, but because I just never think I have the time. After looking everywhere for a couples massage, we finally found massage savvy. We were having a tough time finding a place that was reasonably priced and offered a quality massage- but Massage Savvy definitely fit the bill. There are 4 things I generally judge a massage parlor on- Ambiance, Customer Service, Price, and of course the massage. The ambiance and customer service were perfect. It a small, but very cozy location. Everything was extremely clean and well kept which you always like to see. We were warmly greeted and given time before and after our massage to unwind and enjoy some hot tea. As first time users the $49 into price was extremely affordable. I definitely recommend at least taking advantage of the intro offer- but you will probably want to go back for more! As for the massage, it was perfect! Excellent full body swedish massage- but what impressed us most was the attention to detail. It's the little things like the hot towel, warm booties, eye mask, and heated blanket that really made it feel like a personalized experience. The therapists were very polite, and accommodating. The owner told us they will soon be moving to a new location- we definitely look forward to returning for more massages. When you compare this to similarly priced locations like Massage Works and Massage Envy, Massage Savvy blows them all away. read more

Since I've had professional massage therapy for years, I am happy to recommend Massage Savvy! I had an appointment today and met with "Amber," for the first time. What a sweetheart! I can say with conviction and pleasure that she gave me one of the best massages I've ever experienced. The reception when we walked into the place was warm and friendly. My daughter and I both had treatments and she was very happy with her massage therapist as well! The place is in the rear of a building complex right on Route 1, fairly easy to find. For $49.00 I got a thorough, totally relaxing treatment including hot towers and warm packs for one hour. That is a VERY good value! I'll be back, for sure! Never had to 'endure' a massage before. Will NOT return. Went in for basic but specific work- mainly low back, traps/shoulders. I Informed, Sarah, my therapist 3 times (1x before massage started, 2x during) of my areas of tension. She ignored me and started the full body massage with my arm instead! Finally She began my right trap after starting on my right arm- she pinched my trap so hard i said " ouch" - she said "sorry" and moved to my left arm- never returned to either of my traps again! I showed her with my own hands where i needed work on my lower back- she said "i'm sorry, i can't push on your sacrum. Its just not good." I wasn't asking her to "push" my sacrum! She performed many weird disjointed, annoying movements- definitely the oddest massage I've ever had. It was as if she didn't know anything about anatomy!ie... Stopping in the middle of long muscles, starting in odd places, focusing on bizarre areas of little therapeutic significance. Perhaps Sarah is a family hire, an owners niece, and she has never been formally trained? IDK. When i went to pay, I clearly was not happy, nor satisfied when asked how it went by admins at front desk. I asked if either of them were owners. They answered "we are co-owners ."They offered me a wellness membership to which i said " I won't be back." Neither of the co- owners batted an eyelash, nor asked if I were dissatisfied! They obviously only wanted to hear what they wanted to hear and where not at all open to constructive criticisms. The following are my 5 humble constructive criticisms: 1-Have therapist check in multiple times with client during massage re: pressure and pace . 2- have therapist ACTUALLY listen to AND perform healing touch WHERE IT IS REQUESTED- work with each client to meet their needs and NEVER say NO to a client when they are asking for help. 3- have therapist pace their stokes to suit the clients needs. 4- Train therapists to pay attention to clients breathing, words/sounds, and body language during sessions. Anyone with any instruction or experience can tell the difference between a sigh of frustration and a sigh of relief! 5- Use the majority of strokes to PUSH BLOOD TOWARDS THE HEART, NOT away from it. My Swedish massage was PAINFULLY slow and ineffective. It was nice to be moisturized but i can do that at home without paying$50. I left with a headache. read more

Just had my first massage by a male. Holy Toledo! Joshua was absolutely fabulous! K, let me start from the beginning. Friendly people at the front desk. Inviting waiting area. Clean. The rooms are comfy with low lighting, great music, all of what you would expect from a great massage facility. Joshua welcomed me, asked the basic questions, gave me time to get on the table and then Wow! It took me all of about 2 minutes to get over my unease of having a male. The pressure was perfect. Right amount of lotions and oils so I didn't feel like a wet seal or slippery eel! All about stress relief and muscle massage! Heating pad on my back with wet steamy towels! Then flip and heating pad on my chest, baggies and heat booties for my feet! Couldn't wait to join and sign up for my next one. Joshua performs Reiki and my next will be a 60 minute massage with a 30 minute Reiki session! Oh yeah, I checked out the lower level that has a float pod!!! I went here, with my daughter, the first time in 2013 when they were a tiny place, run by a retired couple. Maria, the wife (who no longer massages anyone) gave a good massage, but I remember the other person, who massaged my daughter with me in the couples suite, wore about a dozen clattery bangle bracelets, believe it or not. We laughed about it all the way home. That pretty much sums up their professional touches: a hodgepodge of loud flutey music and pre-packaged peanut butter crackers from BJ's Warehouse in the guest lounge, wildly variable massage skills and standards (one massage therapist sported such long nails that I could not bear much of the massage and had to keep directing her to stop digging my back) and other basic standards, and a stunning lack of care for the client base. Sadly, they have grown in size without growing their attendant professionalism or caring touches that you expect from a massage therapy business. What a disappointment. read more

They actually offer a loyalty program for frequent guests so a Swedish massage ends up only costing $49... or just 10 clams more for a deep tissue. At that price- you can get two or three for what'd cost to go to a larger spa. I like the little extras they offer as well. Each massage includes hot towel service, warm booties, heated table and a hot pack on your back! Heaven!! Unlike most places, Massage Savvy actually gives you a full hour- NOT 50 mins. Those 10 make a nice difference!! Better yet- they just started offering facial services. Treat yourself to a massage AND facial! Make a day of it and bring a loved one if you want (they have a couple's room). Why bother with Groupon? Seriously? More often than not, you are getting an inexperienced therapist just out of school. I've had literally over a hundred massages and I can say this place is top notch. It is not the luxury spa retreat type of place but more simply a relaxing place to get an excellent massage. They just moved into a new facility conveniently located on Route 1. There is a nice waiting area/relaxation room though I've never waited for more than a minute or two. If you want a deep tissue massage, tell them this when you call and ask for a LMT that specializes in deep tissue. They have 2 or 3 that are excellent. The price is very good and if you do get frequent massages, the 'wellness plan' is a good option. It is simply like a membership for 6 months that gives you the intro rate. By the way, at $49 intro rate for a Swedish massage, that is a very good price. I believe the wellness program pays for itself if you get 4 or more massages in 6 months.
