I've dealt with the big insurance companies before. They might be a few bucks cheaper (or not!) but nothing compares with the level of service I get from AJ. I've called him on a Sunday when someone hit my car, I've texted him from the RV rental place to see if I'm covered, and he's sat in my home going through our life insurance options. Very responsive, extremely professional, but also a great guy who made the effort to know my family and provide a catered level of service that we need. No 1-800 numbers or being put on hold for hours. Just got a call from somebody at AJ's office being very pushy about me going in to meet with AJ to go over my policy. I explained her that I'm pretty busy and if he can just send me an email with the info, and that I would be able to review anything online. She was extremely rude and condescending and told me that people who don't go meet personally are the ones who misinterpret their insurance. I explained her that I'm educated enough to understand how insurances work and it seemed to me that meeting up and her tone of disappointment was more as an opportunity to sell my more products rather than educate me. She hung up on me! I tried calling back but she probably saw my caller ID and didn't pick up. I'm in the process of buying a home in Pleasanton and I know who I will not use as my insurance agent anymore. Very disrespectful to customers. read more

I don't really write reviews unless it's about food, but I've been under A.J. and his team for almost 6 months, maybe even longer and their customer service is due for a review ;) As a college student working full time, I just recently started looking into 401k, stocks and life insurance. My job was able to do 2 of the 3 and A.J was able to help with the life insurance part. After searching for quite some time, this Statefarm was able to give me a great quote. A.J and his team would respond to every possible question I would have. Their team was great with communication and explaining things to the bone. And they processed everything so quickly I did not have to worry about a single thing. They even told me my rate went lower after my first 2 weeks. Overall I give this company and team a 10/10 because they have A1 customer service, they're flexible with anyone and everyone. Shoot if you can't read they'll probably read it for you! I contacted AJ for help learning about life insurance just before my son was born. I knew nothing about it, other than that I wanted to be sure my kid wouldn't be totally broke if something happened to me or my husband. AJ was incredibly helpful - he met my husband and I for dinner and explained all about what kinds of life insurance are available, what's smart for us based on our age and income, and found us a policy that fits in our rather tight budget! He also, as a favor, looked at our car insurance, and pretty amazingly, was able to get us a better deal on that too - I'd been with Esurance for about 6 years, but AJ wrote us a better car insurance policy, that also included renters insurance and some medical coverage, for less than what we were paying Esurance. If you want an insurance agent that will overcharge you for everything, AJ isn't your guy. If you want an insurance agent that will sell you policies you don't need, AJ isn't your guy. If you want an insurance agent that you can't ever get ahold of, AJ isn't your guy. However, if you want an honest insurance agent that'll get you the best prices available for policies you truly need, then AJ is your man. He is a personable, reasonable agent that will be in service to you, not the insurance company. I've never had a personal insurance agent before. Working with AJ reminds me of small town customer service, where you know your neighbors and see them every day, updated for the 21st century. What a refreshing change from the impersonal mega-corporations we have to deal with for almost everything else. Recently, my wife and I bought a house, and AJ and his office were the quickest and most helpful part of the process. AJ may have great prices ...but ask him about his errors and omissions rate. For those of you who don't know that lingo... It means if you are not told about or sold enough insurance for your financial circumstances and are in a at fault accident, you can be held personally liable for what the insurance company doesn't have to pay. The thousands of dollars you save yearly can end up going to personal defense attorneys if you are served. An honest agent will refuse to right you a policy if they know you are underinsured. A dishonest one will write you one and let you gamble will the odds you will never be in an at fault accident. From these prior reviews , I see a lot of people probably unknowingly putting their personal assets at stake because of AJ's great rates ! read more

AJ, took over our account over since my last agent retired. Before him Patricia was our agent and was fabulous. I had 3 cars,trailer and home insurance through State Farm. We purchased our new development home in East Dublin and I requested to get a quote, we got an email stating that State Farm was not going to insure us after 14 years of them collecting my money. We were are considered to be in a high risk fire area. Ok so that wasn't AJ's fault right? No It wasn't but the manner in which it was told to us. After 14 years of loyalty not even a phone call telling us why, we just get an email that we took as "sorry sucks for you". He then states in the email that he can still insure everything else. Yeah right, like I am really going to stay loyal. We had our house finished and moved all our policy's to AAA. Did we get a sorry to see you go phone call, heck no. AJ is your stereotypical insurance agent that you see in the movies, doesn't really care about your business because he always has someone else to take your place. Sucks I'm not a guy that likes to change unless necessary, it's crazy to me to think in 14 years they took 60k from me and could have quadrupled that in my life time, State Farm really makes some bone headed moves. read more
