Usually yoga classes feel pretty impersonal to me because the instructor stays in the front and rarely goes around to correct posture or positions, so you never know if you're actually doing everything correctly. Brahmi not only demonstrated the moves, she walked around and corrected a lot of people's stances, giving them tips on how to make a stretch more effective or comfortable. If you're a beginner to yoga, TriYoga is the place for you! I could actually feel my back pain improve throughout the lesson and I felt great afterwards. The studio is conveniently located with lots of street parking. I think there may be a lot, but I just parked on the street where there is four hour parking. It's a shoe-free environment the moment you walk in (which I love) and the atmosphere is very calm and relaxing. There's tea available if you want some. Inside, there is a mediation room (where there are free meditation classes on Sunday morning), two yoga studios, a big coat room, and four bathrooms (though one was out of commission due to a broken lock). I had a Nift deal for two free classes, so I arrived 15 minutes early to sign up for the class I want, but otherwise, it looks like you can just book the classes online. Prices are fair, being about $20/class; there's a beginner's deal where 5 classes are $25 total. This place is a gem and I definitely recommend!

I am for now taking all the gentle yoga classes I can to hopefully get into the advanced stuff one day. Like other reviewers said, the studio is clean and well maintained. No pressure here either, the instructors are the best. Don't have a yoga mat or props?, TriYoga has plenty of clean items to go around.

Yay, another visit on my Passport to Prana card!…read more I wouldn't normally make the trek from Somerville to Wellesley, but this studio is maybe 15 minutes from my office in Needham, and the yin yoga/meditation class sounded like it could be just what I needed last Tuesday night. I made my way to Laughing Dog, which is in the same building as the decrepit Wellesley Driving School, of which I am a proud, accident-prone graduate! So, you go inside and the building is old and gross, but inside the studio, the space has really been made up nicely. Cynthia, my instructor, was very welcoming and informative as I signed in and got myself situated. What I didn't know upon going in was that yin yoga is a verrrry slow, low-impact practice; holding twists and other restorative poses for periods of time as she talked us through muscle release and general relaxation. We were able to come into one downward dog, too. The class ended with a long, silent meditation. Not bad, and I know the studio offers other (mainly anusara and vinyasa) classes. Kinda odd, but they charge different amounts for different length classes-- so a 60-minute class card would cost less than a 90-minute one. Guess I got my free money's worth going to a 90 minute class! Moral is check out this studio if the location is convenient. Seemed nice enough and likely offers something for nearly everyone.

Went to the 2 hour Winter Solstice celebration Chakra Yoga event here last night. It was fantastic!…read more First off parking kinda stinks. I arrived a little late ( my fault) so I drove around for quite a while to find a spot. The entrance is a bit hidden too. It's not on the Main Street. It's on the side street toward the back of the building and when you enter there are some stairs that lead you up to the studio. They were warm and welcoming when I came in and I found my friends already laid out on their mats. Room was warm. Most classes are heated. My first heated yoga class. I enjoyed it but maybe found it a bit drying especially during wintertime. Definitely bring some water. Room was peacefully lit with candle everywhere. I felt a sense of peace as soon as I walked in. Nicole and Georgia ran the event. They were both sweet and kind and had such soothing voices as they led us through the class. Also very helpful to come around and help you out with any moves you may have trouble with. Hannah and Heather were lightly singing and playing musical instruments in the background. Beautiful voices! Classes typically run for an hour and 15 minutes and it's 15 bucks. You can also get class packs in tens, twenty, etc that lower the price for each class. Events like the one I went to are a bit more. I really enjoyed this event and will definitely come back to enjoy some regular yoga classes. Was so relaxed. Went home and slept like a baby!!

I have been going to this Yoga Studio from sometime now but couldn't make time to write a review…read moreuntil today cause these girls highly deserve a good rating and a good recommendation! The owner Nichol is specially a lovely, kind and helpful lady. I had a couple of classes left from last 2 years from my last purchase from 2019 which I couldn't use due to covid and even when the restrictions were up , I wasn't too comfortable take physical yoga classes until recently only to realize the validity of my purchase had expired but I just made a call and Nichol reactivated the left out classes without asking a single question. I go to another yoga studio and in most studios they might do that but we also have to remember like any other service industry, the yoga business was hard hit during Covid so I wouldn't have requested to extend the validity if I would have a single sign of hesitation but Nichol couldn't be more helpful. I would also like to highly recommend the warm flow yoga classes with Nikki. I find her easier to follow specially when she introduces a new pose, she goes step by step and takes to another level and she has a reiki touch to the flow at the end of the practice which actually is very calming. However, all the trainers are very good. I have taken classes with some other trainers too and all of them are simply the master of their trades and equally good each one having an unique style. You should try them !

I've recently been to a couple of heated yoga studios, and they were not as hot as this one...I'm guessing 92-94 degrees. Now, if I'm just a wimp, that's fine. Anyhow, the studio itself is a little hard to find (its entrance is really on Church St, the street behind Central), but it's spacious enough. I was underwhelmed by the enthusiasm of the girl checking me in; she didn't really welcome me and then asked if I needed anything without even telling me the general direction in which I'd find the studio, restrooms, etc. I did notice the sign advertising a cost of $1 to fill your water bottle with poland spring bubbler water, so I made my way to the bathroom and used the tap. Other fancy waters are on offer, and they rent mats, towels, and Yogitoes (which was cool). I attended Pilar's 90 minute power class, and she was good about talking us through class but spent a lot of time talking about the heat and how we should push through it....which only reminded me that my ass was sweating off and I was hopefully losing tons of water weight. We ran through a handful of sun salutations and some other standing poses and balances, and then focused on back bending and stretching- similar to the 'en vogue' power classes I've experienced at Prana Power. Not bad, but I wasn't able to focus as well as I usually can for some reason. Also noticed pilates stations(?) and a sauna on my way in. Based on my experience, I'd recommend getting here at least 10 minutes early to grab a good spot. Also worth noting we started about five minutes late, but came out about 15 minutes over...so you are definitely getting your full 90 minutes. Mehhhh.

I have never taken a class here with anyone else and I've never been in a crowded class so I can't speak on any of that. I used to go a lot a few years ago and came back for the first time during my winter break from college. That class made me wish I was going to a college closer to Wellesley so I could pick up my Wednesday routine again. Only cons in my experience: 1 shower, no towels, and the room can get stinky because the ventilations isn't that great.
