And we sure found a good one in Hamden on Friday. We saw refrigerated cases full of pastas and raviolis, counters with trays of pizzas, showcases with trays of prepared foods like sausage and oeooers, eggplant rollatinis, and seafood marinara, a sandwich counter for cold cuts, and a baked goods counter. We narrowed our want list down to three very different items. We bought two slices of their sausage pizza, two garlic knots, and three eggplant rollatinis. The pizza was fantastic! Super thin crust, plenty (and I mean PLENTY) of cheese, a very good sauce and delicious sausage chunks. Oh, and the slices were enormous. We made a dinner out of the eggplant and garlic knots. The eggplant was sliced so thin, and was so soft and tender, it resembled lasagna noodles! The rollatinis were loaded with ricotta cheese and marinara sauce and it was a fantastic dish. We split the three rolls and let me tell ya, one and a half rolls were plenty for dinner. The garlic knots were ridiculously loaded with garlic, not teeny tiny shavings, but big hunks of garlic cloves. Needless to say, they were fantastic as well. Our total cost was $24.66, and Sapori threw in four complimentary slices of fresh Italian bread with our order. We really loved Sapori a lot.

The menu has plenty of options with the ability to customize literally everything to your liking. I decided to get a 12 count mini donut with cinnamon sugar, Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal, and cinnamon roll drizzle and it was phenomenal! The spot itself is super cute inside and it's located in a mini plaza with a couple other things around. They have an entire wall dedicated to a chalk board that you are free to write on. As well as a plastic axe throwing board that you can entertain your self with while they prepare your donuts. Both times I've gone I only waited about 10-15 minutes for my items to be ready which was super nice. I would definitely recommend this spot to any donut lovers!

Watching the mini donuts being made fresh was fun, and they came out hot, soft, and fluffy with a slight crisp on the outside. We ordered a sampler of six mini donuts and got to mix and match drizzles and toppings. There are so many flavor options from Nutella, cinnamon roll, guava, lemon, and more. The drizzles were smooth and flavorful without being too sweet, and the toppings added a nice crunch. Half the fun was picking the combos. We also tried their homemade fresh-squeezed pink lemonade, which was refreshing. The Dubai donuts were rich and really satisfying, definitely worth trying. Overall, this place is fun, different, and makes really good donuts. We'll definitely be back!
