As a guy who hates shopping and has no clue how to dress, Carly did a great job of helping me find clothes I enjoy and can wear comfortably. She did an amazing job analyzing my current wardrobe, finding things that worked, getting rid of things that didn't, and making up a list of things to add. She is great at identifying pieces of clothing to keep and very honest about pieces that should be thrown. I was relieved to get rid of clothes that I don't really wear and excited to use some pieces in a different way. Carly totally revitalized my closet! The shopping we did together was quick and easy. Carly was very accommodating--finding correct sizes or exchanging items--all while I tried on clothes in the dressing room. If a pair of pants where a bit tight, she'd run and grab the next biggest size while I tried on something else. It made my experience way more enjoyable and the time we spent very efficient. My wife surprised me with a Personal Shopping Christmas gift, and I didn't really know what to expect for the consultation. All I knew was that I was sick of wearing polos and button-down shirts every time I was going to "dress up," and Carly took care of the rest. She sent me a general overview of our shopping list after the consultation to give me an idea of what we'd be doing. The shopping experience was far better than I could have anticipated. Carly scouted out all the stores we shopped at, and she had plenty of clothes set aside, ready to try on, plus the big dressing rooms since we were trying on a lot of clothes. She was very quick to search for a size up or down if it was ill-fitting, and was very honest about what worked and what didn't. She made overturning my wardrobe very easy. I walked away with a ton of outfits and pieces that I could use in multiple arrangements, plus a nice variety of casual, weekend, and work outfits. And I ended up loving a bunch of pieces that I would NEVER have taken off the rack, let alone tried on. I honestly felt like "Pretty Woman"! I am so glad that I found this website when I did. I am a mother of three with a corporate job so I need to look professional, but don't have a lot of time, patience, or to be honest fashion sense to shop. I had Carly come do a closet assessment first. I was a little nervous about how she might respond to my closet or current wardrobe, but I knew I needed help! From the moment Carly got to my home, I was completely comfortable and at ease and she honestly felt like an old friend. I can not say enough about Carly and how she has changed my life! I went from frumpy and out dated to completely put together. I'll admit I was scared to have her come into my closet for the consultation, but it was so informative and in fact almost like spending time with a friend that has great fashion sense. She was able to help show me wardrobe options that I would have never thought of pairing together from my closet and then we planned the shopping trip to fill in those gaps. My husband loves my new look. I love it too. I didn't know which direction to go fashion-wise but Carly asked all the right questions. I was going to a wedding on Cape Cod this spring and needed a couple outfits for the different events. My daughter knows that I don't like to shop so she sent me a gift card for A La Mode. Kathy met with me and helped me choose a few different outfits. When I showed up at the store she already had many pieces picked out and in the dressing room. For someone that doesn't like to shop that was wonderful! There were a number of pieces that I would not have considered if I saw them on the rack but once I tried them on I liked them.
