These florists pointed me to other florists none of whom would go to Elbert, either. I was pretty much at my wits end and asked someone else I know who lives in Colorado Springs and she looked on the net and stumbled across Beautiful Expressions in Peyton who would deliver to Elbert. Yahoo! Amber was incredibly patient and helpful and even happily wrote about 16+ names on the sympathy card. By now it was late afternoon and she even offered to deliver the flowers up to the person's home on her way home from work. If the complimentary comments written up under the 'accolades' section on her website are even remotely accurate, it sounds like this shop is special. Certainly Amber was incredibly nice and helpful. After planning for over a year, this was an incredibly stressful and heartbreaking way to start what should have been one of the happiest days of my life. The problems started long before the wedding. For six months leading up to the event, I repeatedly tried to contact Stephanie and never once received a phone call back. On two separate occasions, employees assured me she would follow up, but she never did. When I finally saw the bouquet, it looked nothing like what I had requested and discussed well in advance. The flowers were wilted, unbloomed, and lacked the style and colors I specifically ordered. Rather than taking responsibility, the solution offered was simply to use different flowers or different colors--even though my preferences had been communicated nearly a year beforehand. I rarely leave negative reviews, but brides deserve to know what they are risking. The lack of communication, attention to detail, and care was unacceptable. Please think twice before trusting this florist with such an important day.
