Still, it's a fantastic shop to find small toys, gifts and stocking stuffers for the littles. Everything from books and games, puzzles, stuffed animals, blocks and bricks, rubber figurines, finger puppets, fidgets, dice, gag gifts and, yes, true to its name, lots of wooden toys in various forms and functions. Need a rubber band gun, or a prop plane powered by a similar elastic engine? This is your place. As someone who has recently become a father for the first time (and maybe this is the curmudgeon in me talking), but toys that provide hands-on, analog stimulation are far more enriching and engaging that the endless, mindless crap spit out by the algorithms behind YouTube and TikTok. Once I arrived home and opened the envelope, there was smudging on the coat of arms. I contacted the store and provided information and a picture of the smudging, requesting that they reprint the coat of arms and send it to us. The response from William was it would cost $20 plus $5 shipping and handling. This was very disappointing as they were the ones who packaged the coat of arms in the clear envelope that led to the smudging from the glue on the envelope. Poor customer service, I would've been happy to pay for the shipping and handling but they should've reprinted it for free! Would not purchase from them in the future.

As the name suggests, it's a Christmas themed store that truly does justice to Christmas. It may actually be adequately name the nutcracker store as the selection of nutcrackers here is unlike anything I've ever seen. Do you need a nutcracker it looks like the mouse from the ballet? Got it! Do you need a center nutcracker? We've got that too. Do you need R2-D2 his nutcracker form? Not a problem. They've literally got an entire wall of the store dedicated to any and all things that will crack nuts for you. If got plenty of other Christmas related goodies as well including expensive ornaments and other Yuletide pleasantries. To that end, it's an OK place to bring your kids in, but you have to keep an eye on them as just about everything here is very breakable and often outside of a container. I can imagine the you break it you buy it rule comes into play a lot here, but it certainly shouldn't dissuade you from coming and checking it out. Since this is probably the place that Santa comes to shop, you probably should too.

I have had them do this in the past and gave them my info. They called me back later the same day to say that they had a 'like new' used version of the game in stock, and said I could pick it up today. I said sure and dropped in later the same dayw. The used game as 90% of the price of the new - and I found it new online for the same price - but again, I want to support local, so I went ahead and purchased it. When I got home and opened the used game was not the same as a new game. It was an older version of it, without the updated ruleset, without changes to the board and pieces. It was significantly different and less refined. We recently visited some friends and played the newer version of the game, the version that inspired us to purchase the game, the version I thought I was buying. IT was so much better than the version I was sold. I was a local, loyal customer. I could have bought the game online for the same price. I chose them, and they let me down.

I was actually going to purchase a few things, such as the cat head purse and the drinking rooster, until a shop keeper (older lady), presumably hearing our laughter, came over to where we were standing, glared at us and gave us such a dirty reproachful look while reaching in front of me to "dust" the items, presumably from my nasty body flaking all over her precious merchandise. I could feel the hate coming off her body like a hot car hood in Mexico City. I really hate myself for not buying that cat head purse as I am looking at the pictures now and REALLY want it, but being treated like that totally killed the purchase and I walked out of the store unhappy.
