I have purchased from this company before. New printers and then I had issues with delivery. Product was not the model I ordered and freight ended up costing $1300 more per printer. My customer had an issue with one of the printers and their technical support was awesome. I decided to give them another chance. I talked to sales and said that this printers were going to the Govt. and had to be packaged properly and be in excellent condition. The sales guy promised they would be. By the look of the pictures, you can see how bad it was. I had to send the picture to my customer since the packaging looked like trash with floaters on the bottom. Customer was floored and canceled the order from me. Up to this point Nick in customer service was good and all of them calling me back to see what they could do. I told him customer canceled the order, and this is when Customer Service went to shit. They picked up the product from my shipper almost 2 weeks after. Never advising that I would be responsible for paying freight of $3,334.59. I requested the refund to my credit card back on 9/9 and I started not getting reply. When I would call, I get someone in sales that would give me the answers I wanted but nothing would happen. Today I called again and was put on hold, then hung up, and when I called again, it went to VM. I called my bank and file a Dispute. I gave them as much time as I could to resolve, thinking that they would do the right thing. Imagine having to deal with this since 9/9 and today 10/29 they send me an email that a Refund was being issued for $18,278.01, when the original invoice was for $21,612.60. I sent over 15 to 20 emails and calls before this happened. I would suggest anyone thinking of purchasing from this company to read all reviews and then be very careful. I wish my staff saw these reviews before we were scammed too. There is nobody working even though they claim if there are any questions, they will be able to assist. NOTHING. I disputed my charges with AMX since November 2024 and am still waiting for my money back. Their machines ARE NOT refurbished. They didn't even care to clean them before shipping. Pure junk machines. Service: Terrible, when I ordered something from them online that was in stock, fine, it came. When I ordered printers that ended up being back ordered, they asked me to upgrade to newer demo printers for the same cost, which I did. I ordered my toner from anther company which I had to cancel because I switched printers and A Matter of Fax asked me to order the toner from them instead, which I did. I ordered 2 sets of high yield OEM toner. They sent the printers which included 1 set of standard yield OEM toner. The printers appeared to be brand new other than being tested with a few prints, good news, right? The second printer came without toner. A large part of the cost of the printers are the toner that the specs say they come with. The email, that I had to call and ask for after much time of waiting, said there were 2 packages. The second package never came, I was expecting it to be the other set of toner that should have come with the second printer. So I contacted the company, asked them about the second set of standard yield toner that should have come with the printer, and about the 2 sets of high yield toner that I ordered separately. They thought everything had already been sent. They had combined the 2 orders as one and told me I had already gotten everything. So I tried to set things straight, they asked for pictures of what I got, and I eventually ended up with a good set of high yield OEM toner. Just one. I ordered 2. So I waited, expecting the other set to come. The first set came one by one cartridge over quite a while, already months after the order, in opened and re-closed HP toner packages. I eventually called again, and emailed throughout the whole process. After a lot of effort, I finally got... 2 sets of standard yield replacement toner! So I contacted them the day it came and they said they would get it taken care of right away. Nothing happened. Again I called, the same thing happened. Again I called, they now are telling me they already sent the right toner. I'm on never ending hold right now, which they have done to me every time I called in the last 2 weeks. Its almost 6 months since my original order now. The printers I bought from them don't even take replacement toners, they have to have an HP chip to work in my printers. I'm now disputing the charge through the credit card company. read more

Ordered 2 printers that showed as available and in stock on a Friday afternoon. Called the following Thursday to check that status of the order, as nothing besides a confirmation email has come through. No information was immediately given and I was called back 3-hours later for a simple status update. They informed me that the model that showed as "in stock" and "available" was actually on backorder and that they could sell me a different model (comparable). When I let them know that we have strict requirements for our printers and our systems and that I would need to cancel if they could not fulfill the original request they laughed. Apparently checking the status of a printer order is "a lot of work". The employees of this company do not know customer service, time management, or correcting mistakes. Wanted a refurbished Fujitsu scanner. Best prices on the internet. I ordered refurbished. They call "we don't have a refurbished one, we can get you a new one for $200 more". I say fine. I finally get it. It has no US power source. The screen has finger prints on it. I plug it in and an error message comes up saying "dust detected. Must clean unit". So, obvously this is at best a refurbished unit. I clean it and get it connected. I put one paper through it and it now says "paper jam" and nothing fixes that. It will not scan any new documents due to "paper jam". Apparently they sold me a defective machine and they had to know it. Really bad company. read more

Same song different verse: The place sucks. They sold me a projector bulb, which prominently advertised free shipping. At checkout you realize the free shipping is a ploy to get your purchase and are charges $17 instead. If that weren't bad enough, they also claimed they were out of the product I ordered and upsold me a lamp that was 50% more expensive. I purchased a replacement lamp for my Samsung television. When it arrived, it did not appear to be in original packaging. When I installed it, it was burnt out and useless. When I attempted to contact the company, I found that they'd contracted customer service through a company called csliason.com. Csliason sent me an automated reply telling me to download a return label, but did not indicate whether this would be for a replacement product, or a refund. Professionally unprofessional. - Behaving in an unprofessional manner at every turn like it is your job. Ordered a printer. Didn't get a tracking number in the email and I saw from my statement that the charge was $30 more than I expected so I followed up to check on it and was referred to their 3rd party customer service online portal. Under order status it showed two orders. One cancelled and another for $30 more than I paid initially. Wrote an email and got a call from NJ the next business day. The representative Joe told me they couldn't process my first order because they didn't have refurbished printers, but they could process my second because they DID have repaired ones. I tried to explain that I never placed two orders and that the amount was $30 more than agreed upon for my single order and his response was that "I don't know what you did, I wasn't there and I didn't place the orders". After two quick back and forths where he seemed to not understand that they pulled both a bait and switch AND an overcharge in the same hustle I just stopped myself and said... I really hate to write bad reviews but I have ordered 3 items online with them and I noticed that there was no confirmation email unlike those companies who sends a confirmation right after you make a purchase. I felt uneasy so I checked my bank and noticed that the price on the website and the amount they charged on my card was completely different (which was more expensive). This place is awful. I have not yet received the product. Today is Jan 29, I placed my order on Jan 8. I have exchanged email several times, spoke to a representative several times. I was promised the product shipped on 3 different occasions and when they finally gave me a tracking number and I looked it up on the Fed Ex web site, they received it two days after shipment at their own location in NJ. I own a computer business that sells to federal government and medical companies. Desperately needed a serial card to support a current project. Located on their website and purchased on-line. Requested to expedite as timely was critical. One week later, no follow up, order status from company. There is NO CUSTOMER service to contact by phone, no one answers or reply. No ability to track on website. Called the sales dept, they tracked order and said it was on hold but there was no communication from company as to why. Sales person placed new order and said it would be expedited at their cost. And an email following up on tracing would be sent. Next day no email no order status. Called sales, referred me to Marcus, said it was in his hands.....NOT SHIPPED. Transferred me to Marcus but was Stephanie extension again, no answers and no replies. "A Matter Of Fax" is a horrible company to deal with. I ordered a lamp for my television and a week later I decided to call to check on the order. They said it hadn't even shipped out yet. They said it was going out today and they would expiate the order. Then a few days later I called again. They again told me it HADENT SHIPPED OUT!!! Saying there were delays with the warehouse and also with their computer servers. Talking with customer service and then the manager, they didn't try to offer me anything to fix the situation and were comfortable with leaving me hi and dry and still angry. I said "so there is no way to even know when if ever I will get this lamp?" They said you should get it soon because you don't live very far from the warehouse. When you call a business, don't you like to know who you are speaking with? I do. Forget it with this company. I ordered a belt unit for my printer and spoke to a sales person who said that the item would be shipped the following day. Two weeks later when it had not been received, I called the company. The item had to be special ordered. No one called me back or emailed me to let me know that this was the case. They had just received the item on the day that I called. I was told that I would receive an email with a tracking number. When I did not receive this I called again. I was told it was going out that day, and I would get it by email. Six days later I still did not have it. When I called to get the tracking number I was given one that was invalid, which resulted in my having to call back yet again. What was I told? They ran out of UPS labels and the number I was given had not yet been scanned because it would be going out today. Their website connects you to a different company if you want customer service. When I called and was transferred to customer service the voice mail box was full. I was to have the package expedited to me and I found out that I will not have it for another few days. Would I do business with them again? While their prices are good, their business practices are not. Good customer service is a thing of the past with this company.
