I can't say enough good things about this company. Our LG refrigerator broke (btw, don't ever buy LG appliances!)... it's not even 3 yrs old and under warranty. The R A TV coordinator was efficient and accommodating in scheduling the technician appointment. The technician was excellent - professional and skilled. Within a two week time frame, the technician came over for an initial visit to identify the root cause for the damage; he ordered the new part that arrived within a week; and returned to complete the repair within a week of the part arriving. The repair was not simple, yet the technician stuck with it until the AC unit was working properly by testing all of the modes and offered follow up services if the AC unit stops working properly in the future. Whenever I have appliance problem, I first called them for help. If I remembered correctly, the diagnose fee is $65 for an appliance. They fixed my LG washer and didn't charge extra fee apart from the $65 fee, as it was a simple fix. I also used them to diagnose my stove. Although it was not fixed, I felt the technician tried everything he could. He came 3 times and replaced the spark module, wiring, switches but still couldn't get the 2 burners to light up. Since he's not able to fix it, he didn't charge for some of the replacement parts (cause it is also a hassle to dismantle for it). Nevertheless, I commanded him for his time and efforts. read more

I called R A TV & Appliance to have my dryer serviced a week ago. The earliest appointment they could give me was Monday of this week. They were a no call no show Monday. I called to find out what happened and they were closed and closed at 4. I left a message on their answering service. The person that was supposed to make the service appointment Monday called Tuesday morning stating he was on his way without confirming before hand. We agreed I would be available in the afternoon. I also spoke to whoever does the scheduling and they promised someone would come to service my dryer. That resulted in tech calling me at 6:30 in the evening saying he could come then, this was on Wednesday. This is a totally UNPROFESSIONAL company that doesn't value good customer service. I don't leave a lot of reviews, but it's so hard finding good appliance repair and these guys have been perfect twice now. We have an LG combo washer/dryer, and R.A. is the closest LG repair company listed on the LG service site. We first used them 3 years ago when it wasn't draining, they scheduled a visit within a few days, arrived in the time window, and repaired the machine within an hour. We recently had another issue with the machine, and same thing. Repair visit schedule a few days away, came within the time window, and replaced the drain pump within 30 minutes. Our LG refrigerator started making a lot of noise and the food in the freezer started thawing, so we called here, as they are official LG service people. Originally they told us they wouldn't be able to see us until Saturday (we called on a Wednesday), but a few minutes later they called to let us know they had a serviceman in our area. He was there in a few minutes, and fixed the problem right away (luckily it was a minor issue). They charged a reasonable amount- much less than I would have thought. Worked with RA TV through the Home Depot protection plan. Pros: The repairman who came by both times was super nice. My dishwasher was eventually fixed. Cons: Incredibly hard to get in touch with them via phone. Didn't call when they said they would. Not super knowledgeable. Didn't return voicemails. Took nearly two weeks to get the situation resolved. If it were up to me, I wouldn't use this company again. That being said, it wasn't. read more

I had a 7 year old LG over-the-range microwave oven that stopped heating food, it's the last make/model anyone made in this 24" size so if it couldn't be fixed, I was facing a remodeling to fit new sizes or no microwave at all. LG provided me with 3 authorized repair shops local to me in Manhattan,.. some got pretty poor reviews and this was the best on average, so I made a call to RA TV & Appliance but I was fearing for the worst. They asked the symptoms, took my model and serial number .. found the magnetron replacement (since the original wasn't made) and set up my appointment. Sal called 10 minutes before (just as the appointment person said) and got right to the task of removing my microwave oven from the wall - it was still corded through a whole in my wall - and quickly replaced the magnetron. He was very confident this would do the trick, but I was saying prayers in hopes he was right. All in all, the job took 30 minutes, Sal took my credit card for the $145 visit fee which was applied as the labor fee and the part was charged to LG as being under an original 10 year warranty. I could NOT be more pleased with the professionalism and thoroughness of work. Thank you RA TV Services!!!!! This company only exists because they work with Home Depot and customers are forced to use them. They should be out of business. Sal came by and did basically nothing, accusing us of not loading the washer correctly and then saying, "I'm confused" when it stopped working. He just left after 10 minutes and said to call him when the error message came up. After it did he didn't pick up his phone, next day Home Depot scheduled us with another company. Top-notch service! I was having problems with my LG washer. When I called, they told me they would have to make two visits: one to diagnose the problem, and one to service the unit (after ordering the necessary parts). But before they came, they asked the model number, and brought some parts with them, including what was needed to repair the job. They showed up on the early end of the time period that they scheduled, and were done in about an hour. I wrote a check for the parts and labor, but about 20 minutes after they left, they called to tell me that the part was covered by my warranty, so they owed me some money back! Called for a fridge problem. They said they were going to be from the hours of 11am to 4pm, which is expected whenever you get a job like this (like cable and deliveries of furniture). The guy assessed the problem the first day. He needed to order a part which took about another week. After a bunch of waiting the job finally was able to be done but we noticed that there was a problem with the door hinge. We notified the guy and he said it is under their warranty and will fix it. He came by one day and again needed to order a part which he said was going to take a week. After weeks and weeks of excuse after excuse, we finally gave up and decided not to waste our time waiting on them. They're like an undependable friend that makes plans to meet up but cancels every time. read more

As mentioned by others, EXCELLENT SERVICE. I got in touch with Sal on Tuesday, and he promptly booked me for an appointment the next day to check out my LG Washer/Dryer combo. Turns out it had a faulty water valve and was leaving clothes soaking wet after the dry cycle. He ended up coming back on Saturday as he needed to order the part that needed replacement. Sal was extremely professional and did his work quickly and neatly, which is just about all you can ask for in a service call. Came out because dryer 1 yr old not getting hot. Never tested to see which one of 3 things it could be. He said trust me,I've been doing this for 23 yrs.They came back a week later. Took dryer apart ,as they were working he was using foul language the whole time. Then he was losing screws and finally put it back together. It was not getting hot.Then I hear this banging likev5 or 6times. I looked and he was banging his fist on the front panels. Then told me he has to order 2 more parts...2 front panels...another week without a dryer. I called the main office and the owner is coming tomorrow hopefully to fix it. Hope it's not broken more as it is only 1 yr old and cost over $1,000. Will update after owner comes here tomorrow. read more

I have this machine 4 years and love it. Only had one other problem at the beginning and that was a defective part right from the factory. I had an issue with my LG Combo Washer/Dryer, crazy banging sound coming from it. I called for a repair job, not R A TV & App. That places repairman showed up late, did not seem interested in troubleshooting, told me a crazy cost for repairing it (more than the whole thing is worth) and then left charging me about $100 just for showing up. I called R A TV & App, could tell they were organized and a serious a business by their crisp and friendly way they made an appointment with me. The repairman showed up, so easy going, friendly and knew my LG machine well. Did an analysis and explained to me what needed to be done with an approximation of cost. He even did a temporary fix to make my machine somewhat workable. Repairman left without requiring me to pay for him showing up to analyze and temp fix or commitment to him repairing my machine. R A TV & App called me back with the cost it would be to fix the issue, of course I accepted the reasonable cost. Same repairman came back and quickly and efficiently replaced a part and offered advise on possibly keeping the LG machine from not breaking again. Thank you for all your assistance! read more
