Loved this place, went here with my boyfriend for a date night and it was perfect $20 per person an u can bring your own bottle if wine or beers. The girls at the studio are really nice and helpful they def make you feel comfortable painting even if its ur first time painting on a canvas. When I first bought my Groupon, I had trouble scheduling. The staff here have plenty of time to read these reviews. (So, I am skeptical how many are staff-written. And how big is their staff anyways? Different people multiple messaging me on yelp - why don't you answer your phone!) I redeemed my Groupon and I am satisfied with the discounted value; I got a night out, did some arts and crafts, and with a bit of guidance, a painting to bring home. In hindsight, I would have checked out the site and called about booking before buying the Groupon. For a while, I was stuck. If you like a painting, chances are good that everyone and their mother has already registered for that class. I settled for something I didn't really like just to use my Groupon. The other guests varied. Some were superstar BYOB painting regulars. Others were newbies. My favorite were the ones who wanted to chat and drink :) Regarding the class itself, come early to get prime seating. There is one artist running the show, so be patient while to teach and squirt acrylic paints onto your caked styrofoam plate throughout the night. I thought they did a great job -- enthusiastic and incredibly patient with those students who seek LOTS of attention. Is it still in poor form for owners to ask for tips? A Fiesta, indeed! These paint and wine businesses have quickly become a great idea for fun date nights, girls' night out, birthday parties, retirement parties, you name it. I visited A Painting Fiesta for a private birthday party with about 20 people. The birthday girl picked a painting from a selection of about 100 pictures decorating the walls. The instructor and her assistant provided us with paint, brushes, canvases, music in the background, a table for our snacks and adult beverages, and step-by-step instructions on how to paint the design for the night. The instructor was GREAT. She went around providing one-on-one help if anyone requested it, which proved useful since no pencils or colored chalk were provided to outline our painting first. The price for a 2-hour session was $25 per person, which is the cheapest in Miami-Dade County that I have come across for 2-hour adult classes without a coupon. All in all, I think the business is A-OK. The art space is about 600 SF, which for about 20 adults can be a bit too tight of a space. I sat in the inside aisle and moving in and out of the aisle was a tight squeeze at times. This is important to me because if I, or the folks around me, are handling paint and paint brushes I want there to be room to avoid bumping into people or canvasses. Something I noticed, and correct me if I'm wrong, is that some of the art pieces participants can choose from look rather similar, with slight variations, to ones I've seen at another paint-and-wine location in Miami-Dade. I can't quite tell which of the two establishments has the copyright, if any, to the artwork but it would be nice for us consumers to be offered pieces other than Audrey Hepburn with a Tiffany's box, a Buddha face, red wine in a glass, etc., which are also found at a competing establishment. This is important to note because in my completely subjective opinion, the versions of the art at A Painting Fiesta aren't as powerful as they could be. If, however, you really don't care and just want to have a great time at the lowest price around, then this location is the best option. All in all, I had a great time. If you want to celebrate a special occasion or just do something fun, then you'll be doing yourself a favor by visiting A Painting Fiesta. P.S. My cousins and I had a great time here! The place was super crowded and you could tell the business was not prepared for such a large group but they made it work and I think everyone had a really good time. My favorite thing about BYOB Painting is that you get to drink, get creative and you have a finished product to bring home at the end. I've noticed my painting skills getting better after every one of these I attend. It's definitely a favorite activity for my man and me. read more

I wasn't sure what to expect, but I knew I was excited. I haven't been artistically creative since my one and only art class in high school (and that was some time ago), however, the amazing staff at A Painting Fiesta made myself and my friends feel at ease by providing easy enough instructions that we left feeling elated with our paintings. This really was one of the most relaxing and entertaining Friday nights I've had in a while. I tried doing this via Groupon. Went with my sister and did an ok-job. The instructor was Paulina, she was nice but not very energetic.. When the time was nearing the 2hr deadline she was rushing us to leave -ready or not. We ended up hurrying (not to mention we were tipsy) and ended up making small mistakes which sorta ruined our painting. Not very nice on her behalf but I guess she had a long day maybe??? Fun and relaxing for kids and adults! I went to Painting Fiesta with my mom, sister, brother-in-law and nieces for the first time this past weekend. We all had a really great time.The instructors are knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Even though none of us are great painters, we were all pleased with our pieces. My younger niece wanted to paint something different from the rest of us so one of the instructors worked alone with her while the class was going on. Because she finished early, the owners entertained her with Jenga and Operation. I've been to other painting classes but none as warm, friendly, relaxed and fun as this one. My mom and I enjoyed it so much we went back for another class last night. I highly recommend a Painting Fiesta. read more

The last time I picked up a paintbrush, I was still rocking some pink polka dot Osh Kosh B'gosh overalls and watching Romper Room and Picture Pages religiously. Sadly, I did not nurture my artistic and creative juices over the years and I now completely suck at Pictionary and get my ass beat at Draw Something because of it. My grandmother was a fine painter; I have many of her masterpieces on my walls at home. I was staring at one of her works recently and was wondering why the hell I didn't get out some paint and some brushes and go all Picasso on a blank canvas once in a while. Knowing of my suppressed creative tendencies, my husband surprises me one Friday night with a group painting class at A Painting Fiesta. Giddy with excitement, we pull up into the parking lot and run inside. We are greeted by the instructor, a room full of folks celebrating birthdays, date night and even a bachelorette party! From behind his back, my husband pulls a bag with a bottle of wine and glasses. SCORE - it's a BYOB painting class. We crack the bottle open, pour some into the glasses and the class begins. Again, I'm a novice painter. The instructor whips out an abstract picture of the Golden Gate bridge that we are supposed to recreate. How the heck am I supposed to pull this off? Over the next two hours, the instructor squirts paint at our stations and walks around making sure we are mixing colors and following the steps correctly (leaving room for interpretation). After a few glasses of wine, my husband decides to deviate and paint a moon, a buoy and a guy wind surfing on his painting. I proceed to chastise him for deviating and told everyone in the room that he was "cheating". Admittedly, his bridge turned out better than mine and I was just jealous. Honestly, this painting class was just what the doctor ordered. I had way more fun than I thought I would and probably could have stayed there all night painting (and drinking) some more. I highly recommend A Painting Fiesta the next time you want to get in touch with your inner Van Gogh. read more

where was this amazing little studio when i was a kid? my kids have always loved art, and they have never really had any formal training. both of them have been taking classes for a few weeks, and their artwork is really amazing! the teachers are very knowledgeable, talented and patient. so if you have a child that loves to draw or paint, get them to Fiesta.... read more

I had so much FUN! It was a great Tuesday night, and Patricia was a great teacher & really nice! Only thing was I felt she went pretty fast towards the middle of our session and then continued thru the end... Maybe because the class started late. But it was a difficult painting made easy and the wine and chips made it all even better! We will definitely be back!!!! read more

I've only attended A Painting Fiesta for private parties, and will say that they are very accommodating. This is a great place and a great activity to come and enjoy a relaxing time. Instructors are very attentive and try to keep everyone at the same pace. I will say one con was that they had four of us sharing one water container and also the old rags they have to dry the brushes don't accomplish the goal very well. All in all it was a great time and I would definitely recommend it to others. read more

What a great place for a get together with friends or family. We spend a wonderful afternoon with family, including grandparents, parents and kids as young as 7 years old, at Painting Fiesta recently, and it was wonderful. Everyone was able to enjoy painting with whatever assistance required for their level, and the staff were even nice enough to entertain the youngest members of our group with games and activities so the rest of us could finish our projects. I have been to other places like this, but not one that was so very accommodating. A fantastic spot!! read more

Called several times, no answer. At the end, when I could finally get a hold of someone there, I was told that the class will be cancelled because only two people weren't enough. Great way to make clients feel special!!! Maybe if you pick up the phone, you will get more clients. Never again - definitely looking somewhere else. read more
