I have a large bernadoodle that was breed with a standard sized poodle. She is a big girl. She does not do crates, and it is super hard to find a good groomer. Olivia at Passion For Pets has proven to be able to provide excellent care and accommodation. She is able to schedule my dog at a time when she is able to go from my hands straight to the table. Then there is a 30 min heads-up call to inform me that she is almost done. Each time Olivia has done an excellent job and my dog has returned to me happy and without trauma. 10/10, have told friends, highly recommend!

I brought my senior dog here for the first time. The salon is located in a strip mall. The salon itself is plain but clean. My dog was a little nervous when I dropped her off for her bath and brush out. An hour and a half later the groomer called and said my dog was done. I picked her up and she looks and smells great! The price was reasonable also. I highly recommend A Passion for Pets. I'll definitely be going back with my pup. read more

Im very frustrated, I hate that I have to leave this review because they have done a good job with my dogs grooming but they are awful with customer service. First of all they never answer their phone and they take an insulting amount of time to get back to you. I called first thing this morning to confirm my dog's appointment and they never called back till his appointment time had apparently passed and they were not willing to be accommodating and would not get him in. Very disappointed. read more

I've been searching for a groomer since I moved here 4years ago. I made an appointment because of the good reviews and photos of a little fluffy pom with a cute haircut. I have an old, arthritic, cranky pom mix who hates grooming and is always overdue for a cut. When I brought him in, it had been at least 9months since his last groom (somewhere else) because it turned out so poorly. The staff is so friendly and they did an amazing job on him and listened to what I wanted. The price is so low for the service they provide. I would recommend and will return. While I cannot attest to the quality of work done by this groomer, I'm sure it is the good quality that everyone else says. I can say that they are not very professional on how they do business. I stopped in and spoke to the owner who agreed at 8:30am to see my pet for services around noon the same day. When I returned at noon I was told that they were now unable to complete the services they had agreed to and scheduled me for, because they had received other walk-ins and no longer had time for my pet. This is very unprofessional and unsatisfactory. I will not seek them out for services again. read more

After moving to Arizona at the end of 2019, I quickly realized I would need to find a new groomer for my dog. We loved our groomer in California, but with the pandemic, would not be making many trips back and forth. Although, I've never been able to physically go into "A Passion For Pets", they graciously accepted us a new customer and have been so great to work with. They always work with me to find time to get my dog in. She can be a little difficult at times to groom, and they have never once complained about her. They do a wonderful job and she smells so nice when she gets home. I'm so grateful to have found them and would highly recommend. read more

We've been here 5 times now with our 2 dogs. One is a Bich-Poo and the other a labrador. They've done a fantstic job every time. The Bich-Poo is temperamental and can very "snappy" when his hair is pulled and they have handled him really well. Highly recommend. read more

I've been with Shelly for years and was sad when she was no longer at the shop she had been at for I swear over 20 years! After months of grooming my dogs on my own I finally googled her and found she opened her own shop just a few minutes from my hours!!! I'm so glad they I found her again!!! She loves my dogs even when they're naughty. She had my yorkie and chihuahua their whole lives and honestly she knows her dogs sometimes better than vets. She is the BEST groomer!! She has a special way with chihuahuas and my stubborn Paco would only go to her. She talked me through his last few days and I just can't thank her enough - totally would recommend her!!! read more

My first time using A Passion for Pets was a good experience. I have a pampered Malti-poo with a special haircut. He is an older dog, with a heart murmur and a cough. He can be grumpy, especially with people he doesn't know yet. Shelly met with me and listened carefully to my preferences. Shelly did exactly as I hoped and he looks fantastic. Thank you! I also suggested that she talk to my dog during the process to calm him down and she did. Thank you! She said he was cooperative and calm and his haircut came out perfectly. No one has ever gotten his eyebrows just right. I was not inside the shop, as during this COVID chapter they are doing curbside pickup/drop off, which I appreciate. One of the workers came out to deliver my dog wearing a mask which I also appreciated. Another thing I liked was that since he had a cough, she had an alternative way to keep him still without putting anything around his neck. I will be back! :) read more

I moved to Arizona end of June and have been checking out a handful of groomers. I heard about Passion For Pets and had to check it out. I met with Shelly and felt comfortable right away! I scheduled an appointment for my maltipoo. I showed photos of my dog to Shelly how I would want his cut. I picked him up and was very happy! I definitely recommend Passion For Pets! We love all our customers like they are our own. We have 6 groomers who all specialize in different areas. All our animals are hand dried and bathed in hypoallergenic shampoo. We also offer oatmeal, medicated and deep conditioning if needed. All ears and anal gland are done and teeth brushing upon request. We gladly welcome your pet with or without out issues. Established in 2007.

A passion for pets has been established for 10 years but is now under new ownership. All the girls there have been grooming for 15-30 years. We love what we do and love being in Gilbert and hope to see you soon.

The pricing is reasonable for such a large dog and it's always the same price which I appreciate. They are great about sending reminders to schedule without being pushy. I love how they always take him back and start grooming and then let you know about 15 minutes prior to them finishing so you can be there on time for pick up and they don't crate them for a long period of time. Everyone is so nice and does a great job. Have recommended to friends and will continuing coming here for a long time!

I started taking my dogs here for nail trims as people said it was a great place to go…read more I started out with their nails getting done and if they did a good job that I would have them groomed. There is one person that does nails that I never had any trouble with (maybe are owner or the manager). The two times that I went, the other person did my younger dog's nails. My dog cried when she did her nails which is out of character for her and her nails were not too long. I gave this shop another opportunity and I had both of my pups with me for the person that did a good job previously to do both of my dogs. They were both in crates when I came in. While I was standing next to my older pup, the groomer that made my younger one cry previously took her to do her nails and I didn't see it. I heard her cry and I started over there and she cried again. Before I got over there that groomer had pinned her to the table to continue her nails. I grabbed my dog and held her close to Comfort her meaning that her nails never got finißhed. The other groomer that had my older pup never pinned her to the table and let her stand on the table and clipped her nails. The next time I took both of my pups to get their nails done at a different grooming facility, I had to give my younger pup medication to try to calm her down. That groomer put a leash type device around her neck. 4 hours after I gave my pup the sedative the groomer tried to do her nails and she bucked like a horse. She also will not let me pick her up now. She runs when I try to pick her up to give her a bath or trim her fur. I don't care if they have $5 nail trims (only if you pay cash) because that one groomer on both occasions hurt my pup. They also quoted me the price for grooming when I first got there on the second visit and then when I was leaving I asked for her to write the prices down and she increased the prices from what she initially quoted me. All the progress I made with this pup that was a abandoned and lived most of her life on the street has been undone.

The wash bays easily accommodate his size with room to spare, and their recent remodel made everything even better--more stations and great updates all around. One thing I really appreciate is that there's no extra charge for large dogs, which is "huge" for owners of giant breeds. And every time, the staff kindly offers an extra towel to help get him dried off--such a thoughtful touch! The team here is always friendly and helpful. They walked me through everything on my first visit and recommended products tailored to his skin and coat. We now use the de-shed conditioner and I can honestly say--I notice the difference at home... and so does my vacuum He always comes out looking and smelling great. Sometimes we even add a few spritzes of the doggie cologne when available--such a fun bonus! And of course, no visit is complete without him "convincing" me to grab one of their adorable gourmet dog treats at checkout. They're so cute and perfect for pictures or just spoiling your fur baby a little extra. For my budget-conscious friends--Tuesdays are half-off self-service washes (which is amazing!), just keep in mind it can get a bit busy, especially if it falls on a holiday. Lastly, I have to give major kudos to the staff for maintaining such a clean and sanitary environment. You can truly see the effort they put into cleaning each station thoroughly--it makes a big difference and gives me peace of mind bringing my dog here. This place is amazing. All the ladies that work here are wonderful with my monster puppy. She always looks so beautiful when they finish with her. And this last time she managed to brake free in the parking lot and played a game of catch me if you can! NOT FUN! however all 3 ladies were immediately outside helping to corral her. Which they did.
