Our dog was 2 years old at the time and had never had such a pristine groom! He is a golden doodle, and wiggly, so it takes a lot of time and effort to groom him, but Ben doesn't cut corners! Where do I even start.... Primp My Pet Mobile Spa (Ben specifically) was the BEST BEST BEST groomer we've every had in 8 years of our dogs lives. We recently moved back to Arizona from Seattle...and were concerned about finding yet another groomer. As our dogs get older we get concerned about dropping them off at a "standard" dog groomer. Two of our dogs don't do well away from us either. Ben came to the house and got to know the boys first....I could tell the dogs loved him and didn't shy away - GREAT first sign! He wrote down details about them...their names..such great customer service! The van is clean, runs on its own electric and water....and come on who doesn't love the name and the fact the van is pink and black! Ben took his time with each dog...even had us come take a look at the length before fulling clipping :) - We were SUPER SUPER SUPER impressed at how they looked when they came back into the house! I was nervous to get my pupper's nails done because most people are off-put by his size, his anxiety, and his very scary bark. My worries are gone since meeting Ben and having an AMAZING experience with Primp My Pet! My 85 pound, 1 year old German Shepherd mix, Murphy, is very high strung and rather distrustful of strangers. When Ben came to meet him, he barked his booming, scary bark for several minutes, and Ben was as cool as a cucumber (a selling point for me, as I have reservations about letting people work with my dog who are scared of him). Murphy wouldn't come within 3 feet of him! Eventually, Ben suggested that I bring him out to the van, since my house is Murphy's turf and he was feeling protective. Not only was Ben knowledgeable about dog nails (the quick growing out when the nails haven't been done in awhile, etc), he was good with my nervous boy. We went out to the van, and Murphy reacted much like he does at the vet; he just froze and tried to hide behind me. I went back into my home and left Murphy with Ben. When Ben brought Murphy back inside, he was like a whole new dog! He was giving Ben kisses, and even jumped up on him (poor behavior, but he only does that when he is very excited and wants to play)! His nails were trimmed nicely (they are thick and black, so you can't see the quick), and Murphy even let Ben use a Dremel on them! They were smooth, not sharp and the quick is intact on ALL of his nails! I will absolutely be calling on Primp My Pet for all of Murphy's future grooming needs. I have a 14 year old shepherd/husky mix (we call her a ShuskyHeppard) who has old dog syndrome and I was afraid to take her to her standard groomer. Said it would be the quickest way to get a response. I did get a response within 24 hours however it was a canned response because clearly they didn't read my input. This is THE BEST dog groomer I have ever used. After recently moving to Gilbert, I was concerned that it would be hard to find a good groomer for my 10 year old Aussie and my shepherd mix. I wanted someone who would be gentle with my old guy and be able to put up with my shepherd who is extremely nervous and afraid of new people. She was a pound rescue and can be a bit growly. We actually gave up on ever having her groomed because previous mobile groomers were either afraid of her or didn't have the time/ patience for her and she's too nervous for a grooming salon. Not Ben. Not only did he spend hours brushing out my Aussie, Ziggy, who was a disaster from the move and the swimming pool, he also diagnosed a skin condition Ziggy had that had went years untreated. We explained the behavioral problems of our shepherd, Ginger, to Ben and let him know it was ok to pass on grooming her since she's so difficult. That didn't even faze him. The poor guy took his time with her and gained her trust even though he must have been exhausted after spending all day here grooming 4 dogs (he did my parents 2 labs also). The second time he came, Ginger was actually happy to go with him. Ben is such a great guy and is so knowledgeable about dogs. He asked if he could take my parents labs in together because he felt they would have separation anxiety. We've asked other groomers to take them together before and the request has been refused. My parents and I could see after the first visit that Ben really cares about the animals physical and emotional well-being. I highly recommend him and I wouldn't want to trust my dogs with anyone else. read more

They were my 5th or 6th groomer I had left messages for and the ONLY one to return my call in a timely manner.
