From the moment you walk in, you're surrounded by the most beautiful pastries and the most incredible smells. Everything looks almost too pretty to eat--but trust me, you'll want to eat ALL of it! The macarons are absolutely phenomenal. They're delicate, flavorful, perfectly textured, and come in so many unique flavors that choosing just a few is nearly impossible. And the pastries are just as amazing. Everything tastes fresh, handcrafted, and made with so much care. Their French-inspired pastries and croissants are seriously next level. The atmosphere is adorable and welcoming, and the staff were friendly and helpful. You can tell this is a place where people genuinely care about what they're creating. There's even upstairs seating that makes it such a cute spot to sit, enjoy a coffee and pastry, and just take a little break. La Petite Délicat is definitely one of those hidden gems that you're going to be glad you found. Whether you're stopping in for a coffee and croissant, grabbing macarons to take home, or treating yourself to something sweet, you really can't go wrong. Absolutely worth the stop--and I will 100% be back!

The almond crossiant was everything it should be buttery, flaky, tasty. The almond filling was really good . As for the Mushroom and Brie crossiant its literally big enough to share if you pair it with fresh fruit or a side salad for brunch. My friend absolutely loved it and I had a small piece of it and again it was buttery and flaky as it should be. And as big as it was we both felt 6.50 was a reasonable price. The opera Cake was chocolatey and had a hint of coffee flavoring in it the filling was light and fluffy. Overall it was really good! Both my friend and I are European (she's from Germany and I'm Swiss and Spanish so we've eaten our fair share of European vs American bakery items. I have to say this was pretty close to what we've had in Europe. The woman at the counter was friendly and engaging. There was no line when I got there in the morning around 8:40 . I can see how on the weekends it gets busy there. The interior was really nice and looked comfortable. The bakery display cases were clean organized, good signage and well lit.

I got there shortly after they opened and there was no other customers in the store so I had no wait time. They do have a sign which is posted with all that's available that day. That was super helpful as a first timer. The store itself is super cute with an open kitchen so you can see them preparing to bake . It made me smile to see they use kitchen aid stand mixers because I have one as well. The French toast cinnamon roll looked outstanding but I decided to go with a salted chocolate chip cookie which I have to say was phenomenal. As a home baker myself I'm really picky when it comes to baked goods . The lady at the counter was super friendly and patient with me while I decided what I wanted .

It was soft, sweet, and had excellent filling and frosting! This cinnamon roll is a seasonal flavor, French toast - it is the same as their standard cinnamon roll but the frosting is maple syrup flavored cream cheese (genius and delicious!). The server was very nice and helpful and the ambiance is that of a a cute little bakery! I can't wait to come back again and try more of their treats!

The storefront is the cutest with pink motif colors... pink awning, pink doors, pink signage. Inside is nostalgic. They have pre-packaged candy as well as candy by the pound. Mix & match chocolates from the Sugar Bar and choose from a large or small candy cup. I chose the small candy cup for $10 and had it filled with milk chocolate peanuts and milk chocolate raisins. Friendly customer service. When someone exits the shop they bid you with a "have a sweet day." Family owned and operated. Instagram: @newalbanysugarshoppe Review #3878

Look for the sidewalk signs to lead the way. And despite it's small size it is absolutely chock full of sweet goodness! I saw several candy brands that made me feel nostalgic. Macarons are a signature -- definitely check out the large case of many flavors. And it boasts a case of so many chocolatey treats. I ended up getting some chocolate dipped Oreos, sprinkled in edible glitter, for my kids, who went nuts over them. (I maybe snuck a bite too!) I love taking time to explore New Albany, to see what new-to-me shops I can discover. The New Albany Sugar Shoppe was a highlight during my recent trip across the river.
