Look for the pink awning & pink doors to find this cute candy shop! There is free parking lot on the backside that makes it only a few steps away. For the month of November they have $2 macarons! I tried a few flavors but the birthday cake was the best, don't miss it! They also had a huge variety of chocolate covered Oreos and other chocolates. There was a lot of prepackaged candy as well as candy by the pound. I got 3 macarons, a cake pop, and 3 boxes of specialty movie theater candy and kept it under $20, can't complain at all! The cashier was kind and let me take my time and mosey around. I'll be coming back to try candy by the pound but also for more $2 macarons!!!

This little spot is purely magical, I'm so happy there's a go-to candy store now in New Albany. My mom and I stopped in on a Saturday afternoon and it was packed, almost too packed! We got a sample box from the handmade case consisting of cherry truffles, the coconut truffles, and bourbon balls, along with some white chocolate dipped lemon Oreos, chocolate dipped Nutter Butters, and chocolate covered orange cream gummy bears. Every chocolate piece was DELIGHTFUL! They also were giving out free samples of a trial rum cake ball they're working on, and lemme tell you, it was strong! And delish!! (Yes, add those to the case!) Aside from the handmade chocolates, we also picked up a bag of sanded lemon drops and a purple rock candy, because who can resist a rock candy? The lemon drops are sooo good! Tart on the outside, sweet on the inside. Mmmm, yes. Will definitely stop here often, but I'm hoping they find a way to reorganize the store to make it a bit easier to shop when other customers are there. It's truly small and cramped. The space is cute though, it's great!

    Look for the PINK awning.

Finally got to stop in this tiny Sugar Shoppe. It is stocked full of sugary treats of all kinds. So much so, there's not much room for too many people. That's ok. Most don't mind waiting for treats, right? It's worth the trip, even just to check it out. They have prepackaged candy, jar candy, & chocolate candy to buy by the lb. I purchased a Bourbon Bacon Truffle for my husband & some Chocolate Covered Espresso Beans for me. I am enjoying my beans.

Who knew Bob Ross has candy?

I didn't set out looking for better ice cream…read more I set out looking for a local business to support. For years, my family and I did what most people do--we went to the big chain ice cream places because that's what everyone knows. Then one day I decided to try something local and found Uncommon Cups & Cones. What I expected was decent ice cream and the satisfaction of supporting a small business. What I got was better ice cream, bigger portions, lower prices, friendlier service, and a place my kids now ask to visit by name. Every visit feels like we're getting away with something. We spend less money than we did at the chain places, somehow leave with more ice cream, and the quality is better. I'm still trying to figure out how that math works. My kids absolutely love this place. They love the unique flavor names, they love the atmosphere, and they treat every visit like it's a special occasion. As a parent, that's worth a lot. What really separates Uncommon Cups & Cones, though, is the people. They were friendly from day one, but by our second visit they remembered us. In a world where it feels like most businesses barely acknowledge you're standing there, they make you feel like they genuinely appreciate you coming back. The shop has personality. The ice cream is fantastic. The prices are fair. The portions are generous. The staff is incredible. This is exactly the kind of local business people say they want to support. The difference is Uncommon Cups & Cones actually makes it easy. At this point, if Uncommon Cups & Cones ever goes public, my kids are prepared to invest their college funds.

They were only a ten minute walk from [The Galt Hotel] which really made all our walks convenient. I walked in to this very cool and comfortable shop and congratulated them that they have the only person from New York who does not drink Bourbon in their shop which gave everyone a smile but they said... "Not too worry, we are more than just straight Bourbon." Loved all the different types of art hanging on the walls, on the shelves and on the floor. It was at that point that they started to give me and my friends different sample of their homemade chocolate and bourbon balls. I read in one review that they have their own certified chocolatier who is making these things and they are good!!! The team here was so kind and helpful and I can tell you that they had everything Bourbon. A fun experience and next visit will bring back some of these items for my friends. I am sure that they too will appreciate. KUDOs to the team at Art Eatables.

I stopped in today for a couple of items for a care package. Immediately I was greeted at the door asking if it was my first time in. I've been in several times for holiday gifts. It's a great place to introduce visitors to bourbon balls! I haven't had the chance to do the bourbon tasting here yet but it's definitely on my list. You can add on chocolates!

I recently got to sample a goodie cup that included some beautifully decorated items such as chocolate covered strawberries, cookies, marshmallows and a cake. Me personally I'm not a fan of strawberries. My wife and Daughter loved them and they were so good looking I took a bite myself. The chocolate was great and the strawberry was better then other strawberries I've had. Still not for me. Everyone has those weird texture foods they can't eat and for some reason I'm that way with strawberries. I know, I'm a weirdo. Anyways, besides the strawberries in my goodie cup the marshmallows were top notch. Very good flavor a nice standalone treat. These aren't the type of marshmallows you roast over a campfire. The cookies and cake all were very good as Well with great flavor. Overall we were all impressed with what we sampled. We will have to keep this place in mind for future orders especially since my oldest daughter and wife love strawberry treats.

Unfortunately, this visit the only positive was the food. It was as good as our first visit. This time, service was slow and not near as attentive as our previous visit. I ordered a beer and it was out. I asked for a "taste" of an alternate beer. Our server disappeared for quite sometime. When he finally came back, he had forgotten my beer. We then ordered and it took forever for our food to arrive. Once our food arrived everything started to smooth out. We were about half way through our meal and they opened a whole wall of overhead doors. It's 11:45 in the morning, temperature in the upper 60's and wind blowing at about 20 mph straight in the doors. ONE table asked to open the doors totally disregarding the numerous other patrons. Keep in mind the patio was open, these customers could have eaten on the patio. The wind was extremely chilly and our napkins were blowing off the table. I mentioned to our server we didn't want the doors open and we were uncomfortable. He just grinned and said "It is a little cold" and kept walking on by. About 15 minutes later he came back to our table to see if we needed anything. I once again protested the door being opened made us quite uncomfortable. This time he spoke to someone and they closed the door on our end. By this time we were about to leave. One person in our party said had they opened the door before we got our food she would have gotten up and left. A real shame they totally changed our opinion from the previous positive to a real negative this time.
