Cute seating area in the bakery.

What a cute little bakery with delicious treats in Lexington! Their location isn't far from downtown and right across the street from a couple of breweries. We stopped in on a weekday morning. They had a full case of goodies available. There were French macarons, tarts, cookies, and cakes. They were also offering seasonal drinks and a full coffee menu. There are a few tables on the first floor and a cute loft style seating area upstairs. It's a very cute space to hang out and enjoy some treats. The French macarons were delicious. They had a variety cup available so I ordered one of those. My toddler and I enjoyed all of the flavors. They were the perfect texture, slightly chewy. The Pistachio Tart was also tasty. We also enjoyed a cookie. The Iced Berry Tea was refreshing and light. On the way out I grabbed a Cappuccino and enjoyed their coffee. Next time I'm in Lexington I'll have this on my list for a return visit.

I came in for Burger Week, which was a winning promotion for them, because now I wonder how I missed this place. It's in a strip mall near the train tracks and is unimpressive from the outside, but the inside includes not only some splendid displays of various sweets but also an upstairs seating area and a space in the back where they presumably make all this stuff. The macaron burgers, which came in a pack of two slightly different flavors, were quite magnificent, with multiple sweet confections substituting for the specific "burger" ingredients, delivering a complex flavor experience worthy of being eaten slowly. To contrast my sweets, I got what is probably one of the few non-sweet items in the store: a matcha latte which was loaded with powdered tea leaves. They had the option for non-dairy drink alternatives (though overpriced), but otherwise this is a shop where most things are going to be high-sugar and have dairy, eggs, and gluten, so this is clearly not for everyone. I had no need of any further sweets on the day, but they had a wide range of croissants, tarts, cakes, and more, exhibiting some beautiful craftsmanship. I'm not even a huge macaron person, but I will definitely find a way back to this place for something.

I've been following on IG for a while now and the pics of the yummy treats lured me in to give it a try. I was really excited to try a cruffin since I had never had one before. Upon entering the business I was impressed by the homey atmosphere inside. It was very cozy and decorated in a way that makes you feel very welcomed. There's a nice sized sitting area where I could easily see someone would be comfortable there working on a laptop. There was a short line but it moved quickly. There were so many items to choose from. I'm glad that I knew ahead of time what I wanted. I got a strawberries & champagne cruffin & a red velvet macaroon. Most items were behind the glass counter but there were a few baked items that sat on top of the counter in the open. I really didn't like that because they were so exposed. I would like to see all items in a case or at least covered. The cruffin was good. It had a strawberry filling inside that was very good. There was also something with a custard like consistency inside that I wasn't as fond of. Overall it was a 4/5 for me. My macaroon left me unimpressed. It was just sweet. I honestly couldn't identify the flavor. I wouldn't make a special trip to visit again, but if I was in the neighborhood I might give them another try.

This place was super cute! I loved the variety of pastries and drinks they offered. The employees were incredibly helpful in guiding our choices, making it an overall great experience!

Traveling between Bowling Green, KY, and Columbus, OH, my wife and I decided to stop at La Petite Delicat for dessert after lunch at a nearby shop. This was the perfect place to stop! We needed caffeine for the three hours left in our journey, and I am quite particular when it comes to coffee. So when my wife read the description of La Petite Delicat online, I agreed that we should give it a try. The shop is is in a small strip of businesses about a block off Winchester Pike, across from a brewery/pizzeria. It is cute, clean, and inviting. I have never been a real lover of macarons, but the assortment and colors of the macaron display is very appealing. I ordered a cortado and a red velvet cake macaron, and my wife had an Earl Grey latte and an eggnog macaron. The drinks were perfect! The macarons were soft and chewy. Mine did not really taste much like red velvet cake, but it was still sweet and delicate. The eggnog macaron did taste like eggnog. Will I return on another trip through Lexington? Yes! It is the perfect place to stop for coffee and something sweet before continuing a journey. If I lived in Lexington, the upstairs couch of La Petite Delicat might just become my favorite new place to sit and read.

I think I've developed an addiction to Chai Lattes because of this place. On my first visit, I opted to try the Chai Latte. It was creamy and delicious. I've been on a quest to make the perfect latte since then. My first visit was on a snowy morning. Upon entering the shop, the aroma was fragrant and sweet. I was greeted by a couple of attendants who were friendly and courteous. From the outside, the shop seemed small, but it was open and spacious. The macarons are the highlight of the experience. There were so many flavors to try. I don't have a favorite, but the flavors I did try were all good. No complaints.

Chose the pistachio tart. Good. A little too sweet, I wanted more pistachio flavor. Tartlet crust, a touch not delicat, but still tasty. Maybe I should have had a macaron instead??? Next time! Also, I tried the matcha latte....too much matcha. She gave me an extra sugar which I was grateful to have. Anyway, blood sugar is up now for sure! I think this place is best to just pick up macarons and take to a dinner party. It's too sweet for an afternoon tea or Matcha. The four stars are for effort. It's easy to see they put a lot of work into their pastries! The girls said the croissants were sold out by 11 AM on a Saturday. She seemed pretty proud of that. I think I would have preferred to try one of their not so sweet items. Next time! Next time! Next time! This place is worth a visit for sure!

Sweet little place to stop in, awesome staff, wonderful iced tea and special drinks. The macarons were good - their fillings all seem to be made of flavored frostings, so a little different than what we prefer and are used to. But hey, if it's the only one in town, still nice place for a sweet treat. They also had some lovely looking pastries.

Stopped by this morning for a coffee and couldn't resist grabbing a few treats. They had a big selection of macaroons but I went for a Twix tart and a white chocolate cranberry scone. Most scones I've tried are dry and not very good but these were delicious. The Twix tart was great and they had a couple of other flavors to choose from so will have to go back soon.

This is a stinking cute establishment with decadent macarons. They are colorful, fresh, and are almost too pretty to eat. Everything is made in house. There's a huge kitchen in the back where you can take a peak if not smell the sweetness in the air. Absolutely mouthwatering. The set up of cute armchairs, couch, and marble coffee table is a instagrammer's dream. The mezzanine can be rented out for private events. My friend had a baby shower here. Cost was reasonable. The owner is a very sweet lady and accommodated our wishes to make the event a success.

Macaroons left at the end of the day.

Ahhhhh! Loooove this sweet little macaron shop in Lexington! Sooooo thrilled they finally opened. I've been searching for good macarons in Lexington and I think I've finally found them! When I found La Petite Delicat online awhile back, the storefront wasn't open yet -- but they had a lovely Instagram account that I followed for awhile until I heard about the opening. I've been waiting for months! I was in the neighborhood one afternoon and begged my husband to let me swing by the shop. We were just around the corner, and It was thirty minutes before closing, so we had time to grab some treats. We drove around until we spotted the pink awning that marked the store. The storefront can be somewhat easy to miss if you're not really looking for it (they're working on putting up a sign at the curb). As for parking -- you can park near a metered spot and make a quick dash inside without paying, or go ahead and park in the lot next to the building or across the street. La Petite Delicat IS a small space; small, white, and clean with a beautiful marble countertop in the middle for the lovely display of colorful macarons and tea containers. Several small tables fill the space if you decide to sit and linger for a bit -- the store also sells tea, coffee, hot chocolate, macaron ice cream, and madelines. Since I had arrived at the end of the day, a lot of the macarons were gone but I still had a delightful selection. After looking at the prices ($2.25 per macaron -- a bit high), I decided a box of five ($11) would suit me just well. I choose lemon, chocolate mint, strawberry cheesecake, matcha, and one other one I cannot remember. The woman behind the counter carefully placed them in a lovely, clear box and once I paid, I had a box of delightful macarons! They macarons were so lovely and perfect, I almost didn't want to eat them! And I didn't... until the next day. And then one more the day after that. And two the following day. I had to savor what I could! Each macaron was moist and scrumptious. Looooved them.
