Although we miss being apart from our wonderful companion, we are comforted knowing that our dog is supervised while happily frolicking around with dog friends and provided with professional, skilled, and nurturing care. Eden promptly responded to my initial email and patiently answered all of my questions. It was hard having him so far away (I am based in Palo Alto), but I would drive twice as far to have Eden take care of my dog. Each day Eden would post a photo on Facebook, so I could watch him grow and she was always available to talk on the phone if I wanted an update. Eden transformed my 3 month old puppy into a well-trained, well-socialized, very happy dog. My puppy knows how to come, sit, stay, leave it, drop it, shake, and walk on a leash. He now comes with me to work and is the best-trained dog in my office. Now that my puppy has graduated from board and train, I look forward to using Sierra Dogs as a boarding place. (FYI: It's a convenient location for people who are heading up to Tahoe for the weekend.) I highly recommend Sierra Dogs!

Both were prompt and took good care of our cats. Amy was exceptionally kind and stayed longer than she was booked for - just to play with our cats! We really appreciated this, since it was our first night away and I know our cats were feeling anxious. It was such a relief to have a business available to us to come to our house to take care of our animals! While I'm sure there are tons of great pet sitters on the various 3rd party pet sitting sites , we would've been too nervous. She does pet sitting herself, but also set me up with a pet sitter in another town when I'm in that area. I was impressed with her contracted sitter during our meet and greet. When a last minute need for sitting in Placerville arose, I contacted Tamara and she was able to accomodate my request. Upon arrival I noticed that the facility was very well organized, safe and set up for multiple dogs. I noted that she is extremely experienced with dogs and well versed in behavior. She is very personable and walked me around and explained how her boarding works and the different areas for the dogs. Tamara made me very comfortable leaving my pet while I ran errands for the day. The facility is set up very well for overnight boarding too. My dog had a great time at Happy Tails with Tamara's Great Dane and other guests. I would definitely return. I also had the opportunity to leave my dog with Cheryl in Folsom and had a very positive experience. I appreciate the fact that Happy Tails is licensed and insured. Highly recommended.

We needed a replacement, a home that was open and inviting to make my dog the most comfortable. With Stacey and Steve, it's a fun vacation with new friends! He can be at 'home' with other dogs to help keep company. They sent lots of photos and in each one my dog looked the happiest he's ever been while I'm not around. They're really reasonable people and truly care for these pets, I would drive far to have my dog boarded with them again, they're that good.

I signed my dog up online for agility 2 weeks before the class was scheduled to start. I did not receive any receipt or confirmation, but the money was withdrawn from my account. I did not hear anything from Competition Canine so I went ahead and called the day before his class was set to start, just so I could confirm. The person on the phone informed me that the class was cancelled! And was not even apologetic. They told me that the trainer was supposed to reach out and they would have her reach out to me. That would have been nice to know that the class was cancelled, I don't think it's too much to send out a simple email or text message. I'm just glad I didn't drive all the way out there to show up to a cancelled class. Well another week goes by and they finally let me know via email that I can sign up for another class or get a refund. I responded to their email asking for specifics regarding the other class that they had available as an option. I did not hear anything back. So another week goes by and at this point I'm not interested in their business so I send them another email asking for a refund for the class. I still have not heard anything back! I had to contact my bank to dispute the charge due to Competition Canine's negligence or just lack of customer service. I just don't understand how they can run a business like this. Not only were they incredibly inconsiderate of my time (if a class is cancelled that's ok, but just let me know), but to withdraw the money from my account and not respond to my inquiries? Seems fraudulent to me...I'd rather go elsewhere where there is real and considerate communication.

The change in our puppy has been nothing short of amazing. He's now well behaved and so much calmer.
