Not only does she check on them individually every day (since I have had several), she will also administer any special care or medication needed. If you leave her with contact information on your travel, she will reach you if anything concerns her, and she will provide you with updates upon your request. All this adds up to peace of mind for you that your pets are well looked after. Upon your return you'll find a detailed "report card" for your pets during your absence. In my case, in addition to my household cats, I also provide continuous food and water for a colony of ferals in my backyard. I have known her about six years and have had an excellent experience. Recently, she watched my cat for four weeks and when I got home, he acted as if I had never left. We highly recommend Darlene's services, which we've been using now for many years. Not only does she treat our dog as her own, but she takes care of the details at our home while we're gone, bringing in mail daily, turning lights on and off and picking up in the yard. She takes time to walk our dog and play with him and has given medication to our pets (we used to have 3 dogs) in the past when needed. I never worry about my baby with Darlene there. I like the report I get that summarizes the petsits and reminds us to call her when we return home so that she knows all is well. I know that if anything did prevent us from returning as scheduled that she'd be there without fail. I seriously don't know what we'd do without her....she is always there for us. I've been using Darlene now for about three years and I don't know what I would have done without her on a lot of occasions as she always makes herself immediately available. I trust her completely. She takes care of my two small dogs (and the house...mail, trash, garbage cans...). Her rates are great and I like the convenience of leaving the dogs in their own home when we go away. It's less stressful for them. (I used to take them to a social boarding kennel in Campbell which really seemed to traumatize them). It's hard either way when we leave, but being able to stay in their home is a little easier on them. Darlene also takes the initiative when she's had to in certain situations. She keeps in good contact and is very up front about everything. I can't recommend her highly enough. read more

We love Darlene. She's been our pet sitter for years. We currently have multiple dogs and cats. The dogs sleep inside at night so she has to come to the house twice a day to put them in the dog run in the morning and bring them in at night. She feeds them, gives them some play time/attention, cleans up the dog runs and the cat boxes daily. She leaves detailed, daily notes about all the animals.
