Daniela takes care of our three cats for 1-2 weeks at a time every 1-2 months. We've used her services several times and are super happy with how she cares for the kittes. Daniela is great with animals, and has even taught us a thing or two that help us better care for our cats (e.g. the best bowl for our cat who likes to scoop her food over the side of the bowl, and she also put nature videos on the TV to keep the cats entertained throughout the day). The first time you work with her, she comes over beforehand to meet your pets, learn how you care for them, and where you keep everything she'll need to care for your pets (cat food, treats, toys, feeders, etc). She takes her time to play with them, and for our cats, she's even made little tinfoil balls for them to play with while we were gone. More importantly, she is very good at making sure that each cat's individual needs are met. For example, one of our cats is on a special diet (and one time, each of our three cats was on a different diet), and Daniela is very good at keeping track of which cat gets which kind of food, which cat needs what kind of playtime, and which cat gets how many treats. We even appreciate that Daniela sends us reports every couple of days with pictures of the cats. Daniela is super good at what she does, and her work gets my highest praise. I've been using using Daniela's services off & on for 12 years!! This must tell you something!! Trust, compassion, security and the comfort of knowing that my fuzzy kids are well taken care of!! After being recommended from one of my brothers, I gave Daniela a chance. We first all met at a park. I wanted to see how she interacted with my 2 dogs outside of the home. I have 2-Australian Cattle Dogs. Loyal and want to play!! Especially since they are house dogs, without room to roam and once outside..Play Time!!!! I saw how my 2 warmed up to Daniela. They approved, and so we had too. Prior to leaving for a long weekend, my wife & I stocked the frig with various beverages, munchies and had movies readily available for Daniela so that she would be more comfortable. We had a spare room with a full bath. Over the years, the spare room and bath turned into hers. Just incase Daniela needed to crash out. It just made it more comfortable for her and us too. If Daniela needed to run an errand or if she had other business to take care of, we were ok with it. I asked if she were to leave, to secure my 2-dogs in the garage for a long period of time. If it were short, the patio, if weather permits. We'd usually hire Daniel for long weekends...3-4 day weekends. Daniela would text us with updates and a pic of our fuzzies being lazy. Daniela took care of our cat for 2 months. She was friendly, patient and willing to listen to how we would like her to treat our cat. We have an automatic cat feeder and everyday she would come and put food in the feeder. She watered our plants and brought in the mails from the mailbox. She sent us photos of our cat frequently. When we sent her emails she would respond within a day. We told her to count the breaths of our cat and she included the information in the email. Our cat is shy and has an independent personality. I've used pet sitters in 4 states (NY, MN, PA, CA) and Daniela is the best. We appreciate that she had a contract and a very thorough pet profile to fill out for each pet because it gave us peace of mind that she had all of our information in case something happened while we were away. The cats took to Daniela almost right away which was a good sign because our cats tend to be very cautious and usually hide or at least act stand-offish around strangers. While we were on our trip, Daniela texted us daily updates with photos to let us know the cats were doing well. By the time the week was over, the cats were very comfortable around her and they seemed very content when we arrived home. We did not hesitate to use Daniela's services again when we went on another trip later in the summer. The second trip did not go as smoothly because the cats were adjusting to a new dry food and decided to be picky eaters while we were away. Daniela let us know right away and she went to the store and picked up a different dry food for the cats after consulting with us on which type they usually favor. Over all, we're very glad we went with a pet sitting service instead of having the cats stay at a pet hotel. It was much less stressful experience for both the cats and for us. Daniela has been our pet sitter on 2 occasions. She has cared for our 2 guinea pigs for the past 2 summers and we have been impressed each time. We wanted someone to visit consistently and who had small animal experience, since the weather can get really hot for them. This summer, when it got too hot, she moved our heavy outdoor umbrella to provide added shade for the piggies. She even took care of the ants that started coming out and refilled our wasp traps! Just realized that I never wrote an update for Daniela's service after our trip, once we'd actually used her service. Very pleased to say that all my first impressions of her (friendly, professional, responsible) were borne out in her care of my dogs while we were out of town. She was great about texting us with updates on how the pups were doing and funny notes about their personalities, and when we got home we had an extensive note from her. She was very proactive in dealing with issues around the house (even gave the dogs a good brushing and washed their dog bowls!), and we came home to find two happy, well-adjusted pups. I just wanted say how good Daniela was at taking care of my two cats when I lived in the Bay Area. As I mentioned I have two cats one being Diabetic. I am in the military and I do a lot of traveling and I could always count on Daniela to help me out on short notice to take care of my two cats. She would always bring them little toys and give me suggestion on where I could get them and more. She would also keep me up to date on any health issues that either of my cats might be having. Since one of my cats is diabetic she would need a shot twice a day and it's nice to find someone capable and willing to give her, her shots and was as reliable as Daniela was. I have found Daniela very knowledgeable in taking care of my cats and very observant to any changes in their habits or health. When I first moved to the Bay Area I did not have a vet to go to and Daniela referred me to The Cat Hospital which helped me out immensely.
