Went to this boutique yesterday, while carrying a dress the lady took it off my cousin and said it would wait for her in the fitting room. While in line they sold the dress and the lady even said "Glad you brought it another little girl was about to try it on" the right thing to do, was allow her to try the dress on should she not want it then allow the other person to purchase. They are not helpful at all, they are rude. The price they sold the dress for wasn't the price they were offering others. read more

Going prom dress shopping is not at the top of my list, but you gotta do it. This place doesn't have much of a selection, so if you find something you like make sure you order it early so you get it in time for prom. The clerk was helpful but the dressing rooms smelled like old musty mold. It's an old building. We couldn't find anything here so we went elsewhere. read more

Terrible business manners! My daughter purchased a $20 prom fashion show ticket from an employee here that she happens to go to school with. Ticket rule is, go to show and then get a 20% coupon towards your prom dress purchase. We went and found a dress she fell in love with, put a deposit down, just to get a call 3 days later saying we can't buy that dress because they had sold it to another girl from the same school a few days earlier. I called back and talked to o e of the adult ladies, she apologized for the mistake and told me she'd give us $50 off another dress I informed her that I thought she should sell us another dress for the same price ($398). I told her about a dress that my daughter had liked, but I said. O because it was to expensive ($599). She said she could not do it for same price, but would take $100 off. I asked about the 20%, but then she tells me she can't do both, it has to be one or the other. I clearly voiced my opinion on how I thought they were wrong about not honoring both since I had already purchased the fashion show ticket for my daughter. When we went into the store we had the same conversation. She told me how the other girl who purchased the dress first wasn't getting 20% off. I informed her that I didn't care about the other girl, she wasn't my problem, but the devastated girl standing in front of me was my problem. All in all, I got my money back and spent it else where and more on a beautiful dress! read more

I do not recommend. The store is small and have limited selection. All homecoming dresses are 2 piece and most are not appropriate for a freshman. Many look cheaply made. They say they are a Sherri Hill dealer, but not a lot of SH stock. The women working there ordered the wrong size dress AFTER having measured my daughter. We had to go find the same dress elsewhere in the correct size. They were not going to refund my money, but they eventually did. They have no competition in Lake County, IN with Debbie's in Whiting closing for retirement. We are left with the dregs. Strongly suggest going to Valpo or Mokena or even Chicago. My wife and daughter went into this store looking for a pretty dress for my daughter. When they walked into the store, the employee told them where all the "$50 dresses" were before they could even start looking around. When my daughter asked about a dress, they wouldn't tell her the price and proceeded to help another family. They service there was terrible and they treated my daughter and wife like they couldn't afford the dresses they were looking at. It's a true shame to get this type of treatment in today's world, especially since they had no idea how much we were willing to spend on her dress. I'll never support this business and we will be spending our money at a local shop that actually treats their customers with respect. read more

They go above and beyond every time we walk in the door. They take the time to find the perfect dress and offer different options that you may not have even thought of wearing. Very poor business. I put a beautiful 640.00 dress on layaway in January for Prom that is in May. The owner had told me if I were to cancel the dress, I would lose $100 on the dress but get back anything else I put on it back. Unfortunately, I am home schooled and can not get a prom ticket on my own. I was no longer able to go. My mom had also recently lost her job. I had called asking to cancel and the owner told me she was keeping my $300 and that she can not accommodate everybody and their silly excuses . She also claimed that my dress has been on layaway for months now when it has only been on layaway for a month. Won't be coming back here again and can't believe I lost all that money!! read more

I went to A Pink Boutique on two seperate occaisions; the first was looking for a homecoming dress, and the second to find a prom dress. Both times I was completely ignored and walked past several times by the employees. They have a very small selection of homecoming dresses and I noticed all of the long dresses had dirt or stains on the bottom. Never have I ever experienced such a bad shopping experience (and I LOVE shopping). If you're looking for dresses go to Debbie's in Whting. Worth the drive, huge slecetion, the women are quick to helping you find what you need, and you are guarenteed to walk out with something beautiful! read more
