I am based in Chicago and I found this store through another website. I noticed they had a few…read moredresses that looked amazing and a price that was much more affordable than anything around Chicago. Instead of shipping them out and paying for returns fees I decided to come in instead. The communication with the store owner Aubrey was superb. The shop was so cute and everyone was really helpful. They made sure they had the dresses I was interested in pulled and ready for my appointment. I was able to say "yes to the dress" to the most beautiful Maggie Sottero. Weeks after the sale I had questions/worry about the alterations needed for the dress and Aubrey continued to help me and answer my questions. She reassured me the alternation I need would not change the integrity of the dress as long the person is experienced in bridal dresses. She also does not pressure you to do alterations with her but does offer great deals. When it is alteration time I most likely with come back to her, despite the drive because of the quality of the store. If she sold more than just wedding dresses she would have my continued business. Instead, even though I rarely ever write reviews I feel her shops deserves it. Completely worth the drive.

I arrived right at opening, but was greeted with a smile. They were able to hem my dress(which had 4 layers!) and shorten my straps for $56 which i thought was a great price! I needed patches removed and new ones put on. They just sewed the new patches on and they aren't even centered properly. Add onto that the stitch work is horrible. Three uniform blouses totaling $150 (plus the $70 in patches) ruined because the stitching will create holes in the blouse.

I bought a $900 Hart suit. After 3/4 wears (no rough usage), the pants began to rip along the pocket line. I took it up there and (rudely, as usual) was told "well you probably put your hands in the pockets." First, I don't often do that. Second, I have a $900 suit and can't put my hands in my pockets!? I can with my suits from Kohls with no issues. She stitches them up and within an hour of wearing the next time, the stitching breaks open. I took it to a local seamstress and she fixed it without issue. A few wears after that, however, the suit bottoms ripped again in the back. Simply cheap nonsense. Somewhere during this time, I went to shop for custom button up shirts to wear for my new court clerkship. The lady urges me to get these custom-made shirts that are guaranteed to fit perfectly. She has to order them from Asia somewhere, though. I tell her very clearly that I need the shirts by the start of June (6 weeks or so from the day). The shirts come in a month or so later, and they don't fit whatsoever. Not close. Mind you these shirts were $100 a piece. Most were basic white button ups. $500 for five shirts and nada. She then says she will tailor them for me. I wait, and wait.. nothing. By this time, I'm well into my clerkship and the point is moot. I show up later to discuss something else (the pants above) and she says "oh I called you." Well, I never received a call to my knowledge. Wouldn't you call again? You'd think, especially because of the time frame and their screw up. She then acts as though it's my fault and reluctantly refunds me. In addition to the above examples, I have noticed their prices are ridiculously high. Most things you can find elsewhere or online for 60% of the price. Tom is pretty cool and helpful/knowledgeable but the lady who runs it is borderline insufferable. Their suits are overpriced and cheap quality. Shoes too. If you want to spend $900 on a suit you can't wear, $500 on custom shirts that don't fit and take months to arrive, and be treated like a burden -- look no further! This is the shop for you!
