My new Ford F-150 already had the rear windows tinted, so this was a quicker job. I was so pleased with the job that they did on my Jetta and my fiancee's Maxima, I didn't hesitate for a second calling them and scheduling an appointment to tint my new truck. Called on a Thursday afternoon and scheduled my truck to be tinted first thing Saturday morning. I got my car done there "best tints" almost $400 later with out the windshield I was fine with that but once I got my car back and there was hairs under the tints on all 4 windows and dirt all under the back window I was upset so I went there and said they need to redo all the tints as they should because I paid for a good job. The worker told me it's my fault because my car is old so it will never be good but it's a 2012 Lexus is250. I called the owner and they had me go to the Newington store from the Manchester store. They supposedly re tinted all my windows but again the passenger side and back passenger side windows had dirt and hair so I said something right there and they scheduled another day to fix it so after they fixed it I was happy. But after 6 months during the first snow storm I put my hand out the window and wen I took my hand back in my tint came off. So I called again and the owner goes idk what to tell u it cost money to fix. So I said but I have a LIFE TIME WARRANTY. He then said yea but that don't count because you caused it. Long story short do not go here. They suck. I payed for %15 tints and my moms %25 is darker so they rip u off and suck at there jobs. read more

I had a been wanting to get my front side windows tinted for some time now and I finally had some time to spare today so I brought it to "A PLUS AUDIO & TINTING" at 20 Race Ave in Plainville, Ct. The Manager and the Cashier were very friendly and professional. They said it would take about an hour, so I said let's do it. I told them I would grab a bite to eat next door at Frankies Hot Dog and come back in an hour. I just sat down to eat when I got a phone call telling me my car was all set. I couldn't believe it, they knocked out both front windows in about 20 minutes. The manager brought me outside to show me the work they had done and explained their lifetime warranty. The windows looked a little smudged so he told me to let them dry. I highly recommend this place, the staff are very friendly and they stand by their work. Stan M. read more

Waited a little longer than I was told because they had trouble fitting the tint with my rain guards. It came out nice, no problems rolling down the windows, no bubbles. The reason I'm not giving five stars is I discovered they surreptitiously placed a sticker on my back window advertising their business. This I did NOT appreciate because my car is not a billboard and it did not peel off easily. Not cool at all. Give me the sticker up front and I'll decide what to do with it. If I had seen that at the shop I would have flipped a sh#t. read more

5 stars all the way! These guys were great! Called ahead of time and they were ready like promised when I walked in the door. I was in and out of there in no time. They were kind, knowledgeable, and respectful. The tints look amazing! They place a sticker over your window buttons to remind you not to roll down the windows which I loved. They also immediately pointed out a small scratch in my window that was there beforehand to make sure I was aware of it. That's good business in my book that way it avoids any possible confusion or questioning down the road. That's the kind of company I like to deal with...especially with my truck. I don't usually trust people with my vehicles, whether it's a stock truck or a modded car, but I would definitely recommend this place and would feel comfortable leaving my vehicle with them. read more

Very disappointed in the experience here. I scheduled an appointment and dropped the vehicle off on the day of the appointment. I called around 1pm to see if my vehicle was ready, they told me I was not on the schedule until the following week, but were able to get mine in for the end of the day. They tinted my all my windows and left the interior messy with spray runs on my door panels both interior and exterior. Fast forward a month, my tint on two of the windows started peeling. I called up and made an appointment to have them fixed, no worries. I dropped the vehicle off and again around 1pm called to see if everything was taken care of, no answer. I went after work to pick up my vehicle, they said it was all set. I went out to my vehicle, the door was left partially open, interior door panels and the outside of the door a mess, and they did not even touch the second window that was peeling. Very disappointed this time and I have used these guys before. I will be going to another place to have the second window fixed at this point. read more

Do not use this company. We dealt with Tony in Plainville and he is terrible. I had some problems with my service and went to consumer Protection and he called me and told me that he was the owner. He is not the owner. He mislead us and was very rude about the entire issue on the phone. He quoted me one price on the phone and when we got to the store it was another price. Ok so I get to the tint shop and the minute I walk in the door there trying to up charge me already for different shade of tints lol ! The price negotiated on the phone was $189 which is already expensive for tints and of course I wanted the darker tint and it's an additional $50 fee LMFAO these guys are a joke I got a guy in new haven that does my tints for $100 buck done these guys two thumbs down read more

Unfortunately I Wouldn't recommend this company to anyone who is looking for a place to get their window's tinted on their vehicle. My husband and I went to A-Plus Audio & Tinting to get the windows tinted on are vehicle. Once we got there the employee discussed and explained the different types of tints as well as the benefits of purchasing a better quality tint that comes with a warranty. We then decided on the tint with the warranty. Once the tints were applied, the following day we saw there was a difference in clearity with one window and a few tiny bubbles in the other window. We contacted the company right away and a appointment was made. The day of are appointment the manager came to the vehicle to see the problem we were having with the tints. He was extremely rude and wiped the window that was hazy and pressed a card against the window with the bubble's and was trying to send us on are way rather than replacing the tints since we paid over $200.00 and have a warranty on them. Once we said they still look the same and we had a appointment to get them replaced the manager rudely stated he was unable to redo them cause they were busy. Being we made a appointment and explained everything to them when the appointment was made, it was very unprofessional of them for trying to hope we would be intimidating by his rudeness and be okay with them not replacing them. The excuse the manager continued saying for the horrible job was he doesn't make the tints. We were beyond shocked for the service and the unprofessionalism the manager gave us. We made another appointment for the following day and made sure everyone was clear about the windows needing to be redone. Once we arrived the following day for are number two appointment the manager started with greeting us with sarcasm and rudeness. We started to explain to him that we would just like the window's to be redone and he proceeds to make rude remarks. We contacted the Plainville location and they were very friendly and scheduled a appointment for us to bring it to them to look at and had no problem redoing the windows. The Plainville store did a great job. We couldn't have been more happier with the results as well as the professionalism they gave us as well as other customer's in the store. Never will we recommend or go to the location on the Berlin turnpike again. read more

went there with my 2015 legacy that is 4 months old. they did my tints and at the same time cut my rain guards. when i get it back and get home i saw they were cut. they claim it was there before and im only noticing it because of the tint, but thats not the case. They cut it and wont do anything about it. i dont recommend this place at all read more

I recently got my windows tinted. After my tints were done, they explained to me that my speakers would be cracking due to some water leaking into the speakers. I was not very happy but they said it would clear up so I went on my way. About 2 hours later, my car had zero sound. I brought it in the next day and they stated that water got into the amplifier and it was fried. Then they informed me that I signed a waiver making them not liable for any water damage. They did however replace my amplifier with no issues and now the sound works again. The tints look great as well. read more

I have had so many negative experiences with this company, I just had to write a review and warn others to take their business elsewhere! First, we were given an appointment time of 9:00 (this is also the time posted on their door that they open). They didn't show up until 9:30am. I had done my research and knew what I wanted, so I asked to have a tint of 25%. They measured my window (a 2013 model sedan) and told me that most cars already have a factory tint and that anything put on top of that would make it darker. However, they told me that there was 0% factory tint on my car, so the end result with a 25% film will be 25%. I knew the DMV regulations for legal and illegal tint and was OK with a 25% tint (as I am photosensitive and would be pursuing an exemption through my doctor and the DMV). The regulations for this are that as long as you have the DMV form completed by your doctor and you pass inspection, you can obtain an exemption. Well, the CT DMV regulations state that you cannot have a tint any darker than 20% to pass inspection. When I went to have my car measured at the DMV, it came up as 17% (so it failed). SO, I call and speak to Peter the manager at A Plus Auto Tint and tell him all of this, Peter was completely unaware of any exemption laws. I had to bring in the regulation and exemption form to show them. I told him that had I been told that there was already a factory tint on my windows, I would have asked for a lighter tint. I wanted them to take off what they put on, and put on a 35% film, for no additional charge. After a lengthy and heated conversation with Peter, I was finally granted a "re-do". SO I show up at 9:00 when I was told to be there and again nobody is in the shop. At 9:32 someone shows up and I have to re-explain why I am there. I drop off my car and get a call about two hours later saying it is finished. When I went to inspect it, there were bubbles all over the bottoms of every window. It was done so sloppy that it's a shame these people are even in business. It looks so bad that most likely, I will have to take it somewhere else to have their mess taken off and a new film put on. You can even see that the glue from the first film wasn't completely removed and they just put the new one over it. I am absolutely livid with this place! DO NOT USE A PLUS AUTO TINT, their customer service is horrible, they are in the business of window tinting and are not even familiar with the State laws for this. The quality of their work is even worse than their customer service. I should be refunded the total price of what I paid so that I can get it done properly somewhere else, but I highly doubt that will happen. read more
