Ordered a premium arrangement form my friends birthday. Upon receiving the arrangement was significantly different than what was advertised. Contacted A Plus immediately and was told by the owner that "due to Valentines Day the cost of flowers almost doubled and they figured that they would not make any money". Then they told me that they gave me a bigger vase: I don't care about a larger vase, I want the arrangement that I paid for. I needed a last-minute corsage and was so happy to find this florist within walking distance to my work. The prices online seemed very reasonable and the person I made the order with over the phone was very helpful and friendly. And most importantly - she had the order done in an hour and charged me under what she quoted. Very happy with that kind of integrity. When I went to pick up the corsage I was delighted with the look and feel of the shop. It was just so beautiful and serene inside - it didn't seem like it was in downtown Chicago. Marie is fantastic! It was my assistant's birthday today and I only found two florists in the Loop. I was en route to my office and stopped by the closer one, but was told it would take half an hour and the prices they quoted me seemed higher than what I expected. I noticed A Plus was on the way to my office and called ahead. Marie was kind, supportive and confirmed she could whip up an arrangement in a few minutes. When I stopped by, she had a huge smile and presented me with exactly what I was looking for - also threw in a vase, as she knew it was for my assistant. Back in March I was looking to get some last minute birthday flowers for my mom and googled a few spots that were near my job. I work in the loop so I was looking to find a place that wouldn't be too pricey. I saw this place had a 10% promotion for checking in and it was a few blocks from my office. After viewing their website I saw they had a "florists choice for birthday" for $40. I walked to the location on my 1 hour lunch break and told the florist I wanted something colorful. She even gave me an option to include a vase with my order but my mom has plenty of vases. She told me I could come back in about 50 minutes for the flowers. When I returned the bouquet was much bigger than I expected. The arrangement was beautiful. My mom loved the flowers she even said "wow I know you didn't get these from Jewel". What do you mean by quality? Good question. For example, a rose isn't just a rose. I've bought my share of roses from the Mariano's and Jewel but the the roses at A Plus are fuller, larger and look like elite roses. The key to getting good flowers like good food is the source. Where is the florist getting the goods? Is it a mass produced flower sweat shop or from a farm out in California, Mexico or Holland (yes, A Plus buys flowers from Holland!) I have made a Valentines Day purchase for my wife and a recent "just because" flowers purchase and I've been satisfied with the quality, service and the self life of the flowers. Also note that since the flowers are on the better side at A Plus the costs will reflect it. You probably won't find $9.99 dozen roses (nothing wrong with that) but just be prepared to dish a couple more dollars on your purchase. I will be a returning customer. This company is Terrible. They delivered flowers to a woman that I was trying to date and got the name wrong. They used her first name and my last name as if though she was my wife. What make matters worst is that the flowers were delivered to her job so people saw the name and had questions which was embarrassing for her. What a huge mistake and of course I look like a creep! They took care of the rest. M and her coworkers are always impressed with the floral arrangements and quality. They are seasonal and last a long time. M is able to make them last for about two weeks with fresh water and trimming. They all like the flowers so much that they used A Plus Flowers for other suitable occasions. I've been able to easily make modifications to my arrangement with A Plus Flowers. For example, I can call and change the date or have them pick up M's growing collection of vases. I love this flower shop! I was trying to stay on a budget, but still send my daughter flowers for her birthday, which happened to be on a Monday. I called all the big name web and local florists, but everyone wanted to charge more because I wanted the flowers delivered by lunchtime. A Plus was so accommodating! They not only put together a beautiful Tulip bouquet, but there was no additional "Monday" charge, and the delivery cost was so reasonable. My husband ordered roses for me for our anniversary and had them delivered to my office yesterday at lunch time. The balloon that was attached was half deflated and had already fell by the time I left work and the actual arrangement looked like they just threw the flowers in the vase. Would give it 0 stars if I could. Received this "arrangement" today for Valentine's Day and they look cheaper than a 7 day old grocery store bouquet that's slated for the trash. Literally looked like they just took a dozen roses and stuck them in a vase (and horribly, at that). Rose petals are wilted, torn, and very aged. Vase is too big so flowers keep sinking. Totally disappointed but I feel even worse that my boyfriend spent god-knows-how-much-money on this crap. According to my boyfriend, it's not even the color he ordered and they told him "it's Valentine's Day, they'll be flawless." Don't bother spending a penny from here. They said they couldn't guarantee that the flowers would get there early in the morning, but they said they could deliver the flowers before 5pm that day. They also guaranteed that the flowers would still look amazing in the morning. They were true to their word. They delivered a beautiful arrangement an hour after I ordered them and still looked beautiful in the morning when I put them on the new employee's desk.
