He was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and thorough--he offered more insight than anyone else I spoke with. His professionalism alone made choosing Cardinal an easy decision. When installation day arrived, I received helpful notifications letting me know exactly when the team would show up. Zach White and Logan Mossman arrived right on time, and both of them were so polite and thoughtful. They slipped on boot covers the moment they walked in and took the time to really listen to what I wanted. I asked that the HALO ION-6 be installed on the main line so the whole house would benefit, and they understood immediately why that mattered. They also worked with me on how the gas line should be routed, and they handled every detail exactly as I requested. Their workmanship was truly impressive--clean, tidy, and so well-organized. You can tell they take pride in what they do. Even better, they kept the mood light and fun, singing along to "Dude (Looks Like a Lady)" while they worked, which made the whole experience feel surprisingly enjoyable. He told my husband it would be $360 to remove the toilet to see what was wrong. My husband specifically asked ok so if you remove the toilet do nothing and put it back it will be $360. Thomas said yes. He said if he had to replace the flange it would be a little over $900. My husband asked him to leave. The "service" call included no service. He only took 2 pictures and did nothing else. The service call was $70. So we basically paid for him to ring the door bell and take pictures. No diagnostics done. I called the company and the manager called me and said he wanted a mutual resolution. He offered nothing but an explanation of how much his truck cost and his overhead which is why we had to pay the "service" fee even though they did absolutely nothing but take pictures. He must have "explained" his overhead to me 5 times and thought what his plumber did was acceptable. Called a different plumber. He came out and fixed the problem in 30 minutes for $175 all included. Under no circumstances would I use this company. They are not honest and definitely over charge. BEWARE

Now, if anyone ask me for a plumber recommendation, I will be giving the same answer, Inspector Plumber. When I went to turn the controls for my outdoor faucet on, it started to leak. So, I immediately turned it back off and started my search for the plumber. Once I decided to use, Inspector Plumber, I gave them a call. The receptionist /dispatcher was extremely professional and friendly. I believe her name was Courtney. She asked questions to help her understand my needs and situation. As we chatted, I told her my availability. Once she had all the information she needed, she asked me to hold for a moment. To my surprise, when she came back to the phone, she told me that she had someone available as soon as they finished their lunch break. WOW! that was quick service. I was use to big city waits, so this impressed me. I had a team of two arrive, the lead was Chase. I showed them my plumbing issue, they evaluated and provided me with an estimate. Chase also, pointed out something else that should be addressed. While some of you would say that was an up sale, I say it's good customer service. It was an update that I knew needed to be done in a 60 year old home. He gave me two bids, one for what I called about and one including the update to my main waterline faucet. Both estimates were very reasonable, especially with my 5% discount for being a senior. After seeing what they needed to fix my issues, they excused themselves to run to the local plumber supply store to buy supplies. Once they returned, working as a team, they had everything completed in under 2 1/2 hours. After working, they cleaned up and left my home as it was when they arrived. I liked that they documented their work with photos attached to my invoice. If I need a plumber in the future, I'll be calling Inspector Plumber again. I've added them to my contacts in my smart phone to make life easier. Also, if anyone ask me for a plumber recommendation, I can easily send it to them.

After moving my water heater, he explained some things to me. He didn't do a hard-sell, but he informed me that mine was 29 years old and when he moved it back after my other basement work was completed, it may not work. I listened and I knew 29 years for a water heater was a long life and I better get a new one. Once my basement work was completed, Dan was quick to get my new hot water installed. A man can only live so many days without hot water. Again, he was right on time and the installation went as smooth as silk. Less than a year later, while selling my home, the St. Louis County occupancy inspection failed because their installation contained clear code violations, including a missing required expansion tank and a non-compliant flex connector. When I contacted SOS Plumbing, the owner told me he intentionally didn't install the required expansion tank because he was "trying to save me some money" and didn't know I was planning to sell my home. Instead of taking responsibility for the code violations, he quoted me another $800-900 to correct his own work. I refused to pay twice for the same job and hired another licensed plumbing company, paid an additional $750 to bring the installation into compliance. A homeowner shouldn't have to tell a licensed plumber they're planning to sell their home to receive a code-compliant installation. Paying premium prices should mean getting professional work done correctly the first time--not paying someone else to fix it later. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend SOS Plumbing and would urge anyone considering to think twice before trusting these 5 star reviews! Update: Since business owner replied(pretty classic "defensive rewrite of history" response): Just to be clear. please don't reframe "code compliance" as optional upgrades. Those are not "nice-to-have upgrades". they're required for compliant installation. And please stop that "budget priority" claim. That is not true. Don't try to justify omissions on your end. did not request a non-compliant installation or decline required code-compliance work. At no point was I informed that the installation would not pass occupancy inspection or that required code items were being excluded from the work performed. The water heater installation later failed occupancy inspection during the sale of my home, requiring additional work to bring it into compliance. While scope and pricing were discussed, I relied on a licensed contractor to complete a code-compliant installation and to clearly communicate any items required for compliance at the time of service. It is not reasonable to expect a homeowner to independently identify or approve hidden code deficiencies during what was represented as a standard installation. I was not seeking a "budget" or stripped-down installation. If cost-cutting was the primary expectation, I would have chosen a different contractor. The equipment installed was a Bradford White unit, which is a professional-grade water heater, not a low-cost or economy product. I specifically chose to go with this business because they have a premium brand unit available and I know this is not a budget big box store option. So please stop bringing up that "budget" claim. The business's response is misleading and not consistent with what was communicated or agreed upon at the time of service. The characterization that I declined required code-compliance work is not accurate.
