My first contact with this company seemed to be a positive one. The lady that answered the phone…read moreseemed to understand, as a woman, where I was coming from in attempting to express my need to have our new house's tank pumped. In my naiveness, I admitted that we didn't know the state of our house's septic tank to which she replied that she would recommend that we get it pumped. I was pleasantly surprised when she told me that they had an opening the following day. This should have been red flag number one. What reputable and in demand company has availability the next day? Regardless, I booked a 9 AM appointment to have someone come out and pump our septic tank. She had already quoted the amount for pumping a tank that would typically be in a 3 bedroom house. She warned me that if the septic tank was more than 20 inches under ground that they would have to charge a $250 fee to bring in a backhoe and dig it out. So I asked her what would happen if the man came out and found out that he needed to dig out the septic tank and we said well let us do it and come back when we're done, she said that she didn't know but that she was sure that he'd "work with us." Well the next day when a man came out and found out that the tank was actually 1,000 gallons he said he'd have to charge more. He told my husband that if he didn't want to pay that amount then that man said that my husband would have to pay $250 just for having the company essentially come out and uncover the tank. My husband felt that he had no choice but to pay the man to pump out the tank. I must say that the tank wasn't HALF FULL!! I don't think that it was right for him to charge to pump out a 1,000 gallon tank that wasn't even half full. He could've charged the lesser amount (the one for a smaller tank) since our tank wasn't half full but perhaps he saw an opportunity to charge more and by golly he took it! I'm not sure what their goal is but it isn't earning lifetime customers. I think that the right thing would've been to charge us less since our septic tank was NOT HALF FULL!!

Reminded the crew when they came that the prior service they had installed a riser and pointed out the area of the riser so don't dig up the yard. That got fixed but now we are just fixing the issues caused BY BISHOP-THEIM I know it's hard to find a good company to work on your septic systems but PLEASE look somewhere else. I got in touch with the Plumb Ready team, and was told that Roland would be able to make it out to me same day. He arrived in less than 2 hours. He told me the price range upfront, which was determined by the extent of the work needed. I really appreciated that. Additionally, I felt like he was someone I could trust, and he explained things to me in a very clear manner. He not only fixed the blockage, but also noted that our pipes were quite old and made out of cast-iron, and explained to me how cast iron can weaken over time. They have done an amazing job at a fair price. On the last day at the last minute, it was discovered I have a blockage in my kitchen plumbing. Bruce stayed behind for a couple of hours until he could get it cleared. He even had to get up on the roof in the rain to knock down through the vent pipe to release the blockage.
