Finally sent in a request on Yelp to nearby towing companies. One quoted $285.00. Jesus from Nearby towing sent a message to call him shortly after the other quote came in. When I called he was so nice and said he would tow my car for $145.00 which I agreed to. He gave me an approximate time in the morning when he could get down here and answered both times I checked on timing. It was my battery so he jumped the car and only charged $50.00 for the service after driving from Tucson. He was so nice, friendly and more than fair. I assume the police called this company--we certainly didn't. All of this is to say: any tow company that shows up to a scene like that, that quickly, and has you initial paperwork less than an hour after you've nearly lost your life--paperwork that apparently tells you how much they're charging you for towing and storing your completely useless vehicle--well, that company doesn't have your best interests at heart. Capitalism at its finest. HOWEVER, the guy who picked up and dropped off our truck today, Michael, was incredibly kind. I asked if they accepted credit card and they said yes (but they failed to mention the small fee of $5 associated w/ card payments). The individual from the company arrived about 1 hour and 45 minutes after we spoke and I was charged $60. Ultimately it was a good service but maybe some miscommunication on costs that were not the biggest deal. Ultimately, happy to have used their service and would do so again. Thanks 5-star towing.
