He makes you pay attention in his videos by constantly reminding you to get off your phone. All in all, the best tutoring service offered at A&M. For only the amount of money you pay you get adequate tutoring hours, I'd guess over 20 per exam. If your BIMS enroll as soon as you get to A&M and never stop. I am 2 years out of undergrad and I still tell people about this place. I'm currently in dental school. I owe a huge part of my acceptance to Ali at A-plus. Ali is seriously the best. He crams like 3-5 lectures into one session perfectly. His methods are seriously magical. He makes you feel a little dumb at first, but by the end of every session I felt so much more knowledgable. I kept a lot of the notebooks from the sessions and remembered a lot of his memory tricks for my classes in dental school. I used my A plus notes for my DAT and dental boards! I came here for OChem 1 and 2 and Biochem 1 and 2. Made A's in all of them. I literally signed up for professors that I knew Ali would teach to the most just so I could get the most out of my money. I have been to 4.0 and Go and Tutor John, which were big mistakes. Nothing compares to Ali. Those places honestly suck for science classes. The season pass is ABSOLUTELY worth it. This place seriously saved my ass in college. Buying the season pass is definitely worth it. If you actually go to all the reviews, there is no reason you should not be able to get the grade you want in any class. I mostly went for science courses (i.e.- biochem, ochem, etc.) but they do offer other things like accounting or physics. They sell snacks at the front desk so if you need a little something during the lengthy reviews you're set. If I remember correctly most reviews are 2 hours long but he does have a few exceptions. All of their review schedules are posted on the website. Ali is the BEST! He can make you feel like the dumbest person in the world while teaching you all at the same time. Whatever you do, don't fall asleep in his lectures and don't let him learn your name! If you do either of these things he will call on you for super hard questions and do his best to embarrass you! The flip side is that you will probably never forget the answer to the question he asks you in front of about a hundred people, but your face will still turn red. read more

A plus left the students completely stranded during COVID-19! They have not answered their phones in 6 weeks or sent emails to their students. K- 12 schools have been teaching online so College level tutoring should easily be able to do the same. They are not an ethically run company and I do not recommend them. At this point they have not offered a refund or any solutions for the 2020 spring semester. read more

My experience was one of serious dissatisfaction. Firstly, the place virtually minimizes students into cattle being corralled into very cramped spaces. Then you're subjected to this corny spiel that is recycled shamelessly by would-be professors. Categorically the most effortless money being generated in Brazos County. However, the way they treat their customers is actually disrespectful. Ali does not return calls (despite what Kendall may believe), and was extremely discourteous and impatient when discussing the season pass I purchased. Please let me be clear Aggies, they have no qualms about digesting your money in exchange for short-lived shortcuts, (and no refunds btw). But if you're audacious enough to want to be treated like a human; then you may want to head to "4.0 and Go". Because whatever the benefits of these calculator 'programs' are, they're tethered in equilibrium by this company's gross deficiency in common courtesy. Petroleum is my major, but I went for a mechanics course because I needed a more efficient method of solving test problems and my roommate told me they have 'programs' for your calculator that'll save loads of time. Sweet. Streamlining is our friend. Unfortunately, my calculator was stolen/misplaced at A+ Tutoring the night before the exam. I called and they were unable to retrieve it. I opted to purchase another the following day and asked if the program can be emailed to me. The staff kindly explained to me that it can only be done manually and I should come in. Cool. I drive there and give them the new calculator. They told me to just wait in between a session when they [tutors] have time. As God is my witness I left and returned hours later and they still had yet to download the program. Mind you, the process is literally less than 5 mins and is performed countless times daily. I requested to speak to a manager/tutor/supervisor and was denied repectively. They told me I had the option to wait there til midnight and hopes he does it, or return the following day, for the calculator 'programs'. What an insult. Worst experience ever, tried it for finance classes. Ridiculous... oh and i didnt even stay longer than an hour in the tutorial so i tried to get refunded based on their refund policy... they kept dragging it for months, saying that my account does not work although i know it does, then they tricked me and refunded me only half of the total amount by sending me the same confirmation twice but claiming that the amount was refunded in 2 parts... and that was around 6 months later because i had contacted my bank. I talked to other people and they had the same issue.. Ask around and most students will tell you to avoid Aplus. read more

This place is a hyped up pile of crap! From some of the testimonies you will hear one would think they basically program the knowledge into your head. While you attend the first few classes you will think they do too. The reviews are never in time to help you out in time for the homework but you think, "Hey, It's ok. I'll do well enough to offset that." You will quickly become a pro at the problems solving almost all of them as fast as the tutor himself by the time the test reviews tailored to your specific professor arrive. You will show up for your test full of confidence and then you will look down at the first problem. It's not the basic problem you've done for the last two weeks at tutoring. No, this a complex problem based on your total understanding of the subject gleaned either from an extremely complex and indirect book or a talentless professor. Underneath this new type of problem you have never seen before are bits and pieces of the simple formulas taught at A+ mixed in with things never even touched by the tutors.
