The massages here are amazing but I would recommend being weary of their facials. I got the European facial over a week ago and my skin has been completely raw and broken out ever since. I started out going to A Relaxed You many years ago in Mt Greenwood, and they were kind, professional and a great place. I switched to the Palos location when I moved and that location is beautiful. The people there are fabulous. Kathleen, Kayleigh, Edith and Rebecca are friendly, kind, and professional. Kayleigh has done my facials and I highly recommend her. Rebecca did my massage and she has such positive energy and effectively hit the spots on my neck and shoulders that were troubling me. I'm looking forward to my next massage with Rebecca. The salt cave is a great place to relax, unwind, and meditate! Bring a pair of white socks to wear inside the cave! Lockers are available, and shoes are left outside the door. The cave is darkened, walls appeared to be made of bricks of salt, and numerous salt lamps are recessed in the walls. There's a fireplace filled with many large salt lamps, too. The ceiling has a couple of panels that simulate a starlit night sky, and new age-y music plays. Seating is in zero gravity chairs, comfy. A recorded message at the beginning of the session explains the benefits of the salt cave. It's easy to relax completely! The fifty minute session seemed appropriate, not too long and not to short. As far as salt caves go this is not one of my favorites. My opinions are based on my experience with my favorite salt cave located in LaGrange. Pros: 1) The waiting room area is very nicely decorated. Very zen like and relaxing. 2) The staff is welcoming and friendly. 3) If you're interested in purchasing a salt lamp there are many to choose from for sale. 4) Price was very reasonable. They were having a sale this month and I paid $15.00. 5) Location is easy to get to. Cons: 1) I got to the appointment very early. The women at the reception desk need to be mindful that people come here to relax. An older woman named Kathleen was talking loudly, non-stop with a customer for a good 25 minutes. It was very, very distracting and annoying. She was a chatterbox even after the customer left. She was talking with another young woman at the front desk. 2) Speakers in the cave are way, way too loud. It's distracting and interferes with relaxing. Also, the wave sounds, which really didn't sound like waves, was staticky at times. 3)You can hear chairs squeaking during the session. The LaGrange salt cave provides head phones to tune out other noises. 4) Blankets they provide are too thin. My friend and I were cold even with the blanket on. 5) There is an odd smell in this cave that is distracting. If I were to describe it's a mildewy, stale or sweaty smell. 6) Thsession is only 50 minutes. The cave in LaGrange is 60 minutes. 7) This is very annoying. If you have a scheduled appointment for another service they will call you but won't leave a message. I'm assuming they are calling to confirm the appointment but not sure why they don't leave a message. One time I received 3 calls from them in 1 day but no voice mail message. Sorry. If I get a missed call without a voicemail message I don't return the call. Don't bother calling me if your not going to leave a m I'm glad I gave this place a shot, but I'll stick with my favorite spot. read more

It was such a relaxing afternoon from the first step into the spa it was just so amazing. It smelled absolutely wonderful, the ladies at the front desk were exceptionally nice it just got better from there. There are so many salt lamps and the smell of Aromatherapy all throughout. I was booked for a 2hour massage and it was much more amazing then I thought it would be. My Massage therapist was named Gina she was so so nice we went back to the room which was very well decorated and smelled delightful. We discussed the massage and what areas I needed worked on and we started from there. It was the perfect pressure she also did a lot of stretching of my arms and legs which I really needed. She also wrapped my feet and hands in hot towels that smelled of lavender. I was so relaxed when it was over and smelled of lavender which I just love. I also spent 45mins afterwards on there salt cave it's so spacious and very relaxing in there. Bring white socks to wear in the salt cave(if you forget like I did they have them for sale at the front). They have digital lockers to lock up your items. I booked my next massage before I left I wanted to make sure I would be able to get in to Gina again. All and All it was one of the best experiences and I love that it's so close to home. I went in about 2 weeks ago for my first ever facial. Although everyone was very nice and welcoming, I was definitely taken advantage of. For $85 I got soaps and lotions rubbed on my face. There were no extractions completed (not even a mention of them throughout the whole thing. Keep in my, I have never had a facial so I did not know any better), the steam was only on half of my face for about 3 minutes of the facial. Once it was all over, they were quick to show me all of the products used so I can make a purchase in addition to the $85 custom facial. Once I arrived home, I confirmed with family members who have had facials that extractions should have been done or at least discussed. When I called to inform them of what happened, I was told that nothing could be done until the owners were back and that I should have mentioned it while I was still there. Keep in mind, I HAVE NEVER HAD A FACIAL so how was I supposed to know? Here we are almost 2 weeks later and still have not gotten a phone call back.
