ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED!!!!
I have gone to plenty of Salt Caves before I had my 1 year old, I needed a nice day of relaxation with one of my friends, she decided she would pick out a Salt Cave in her area that had "good reviews."
Let me tell you about my experience,
When I called to see if I needed to schedule a appointment the woman who answered sounded like she was sleeping and just woke up. There was no "Hi, How are you?" Hi, Salt Cave in Worth." It was, silent when the phone sounded like it picked up and then I said, "Hellooo?" and my response back was, "Yeah! I'm here." I asked if I needed to make a appointment and the woman replied, "yeah, come in at 2:00." I said well, I wasn't planning on coming at two but ok...
I knew right away this was going to be an awful experience but, I've already bought my groupon on this Salt Cave and it says in fine print "no refunds."
I walked in and was greeted with a smile and told the woman my friend and I had a appointment at 2:00 and in the process of telling her, I found you off of Groupon and this is the first time using it, she took.. yes TOOK my phone straight from my hand and started scrolling on my Groupon and I said, I think its that button on the bottom and then..... SHE COUGHED IN MY FACE, TWICE ON MY PHONE AND THEN IN THE AIR!
Her mouth wasn't even covered... at this point I biting my lip cause I didn't want to ruin this experience for my friend, it was her first time!!
My friend walked up there with her Groupon code and it didn't work.. She said "figure it out I cant help you.." Then walked away to her other clients and told them to take off their socks (it's required ) and hang up there coat and purses on a coat wrack front in-front of the store and meet me in the salt cave... I peaked over to see the inside of the cave and shes folding the blankets and coughing all over them and in the air without her mouth being covered!! I said if I didn't pay for this already I would NEVER sit in there... I'm not a (germ freak) but how ignorant as a worker to even do something very unsanitary!!
After my friend "figured it out" she said we have to come back, I asked where the bathroom was and while walking passed the (sock bin your required to wear) they were BROWN yes, white socks with the bottoms that were DIRTY!!! I shook my head and my friend followed me to the bathroom and... THE BATHROOM WAS EXTREMELY DISGUSTING!! the toilet was full of dirt, hair, NO TOILET PAPER OR PAPER TOWELS not to mention 3 ... yes 3 thousand leggier crawling around the bathroom ceiling!! I couldn't believe this "Spa Salt Cave" was this dirty!!
I walked out and came back at my 2nd appointment, she told us the procedure and I looked into that sock bin and said to my friend "not a chance" I never felt so disgusted as did she! She said I cant wear this they aren't even clean.. NONE OF THEM WHERE I CHECKED!! She told us no purses, no jackets and no phones.. Absolutely NOT... if they had a locker I would have no problem leaving everything in there but I'm sorry my purse is coming with me.
I also did not wear the socks and just walked in and sat down... there where two ladies in there and all of a sudden one of them was coughing up a lung.. and I mean (DIDN'T STOP HACKING AND HURLING AND WAS FLEMMY ... ) and the session didn't even start! While we were waiting two other women walked in (sounded like they come there often) the costumer asked, "Do I need to change my socks? I promise my feet are clean and the other lady said yeah, mine too!" The worker said "Oh it's okay, just walk in ladies!" My jaw hit the floor.. How many other people walked into this salt cave in their socks when its "required to wear the salt caves socks."
(ONE MORE CHANCE...)
One more costumer walked in and sat across from us, the worker didn't tell us to "enjoy" or "explain how this works" she closed the door.. the lady has been hacking on and off since we sat down and .. didn't.. stop.. COUGHING! I sat up in my chair sweating cause I couldn't believe how un-relaxing this was and so did another woman.. the lady who was coughing was not coughing from a tickle in her throat, it was such an awful cough in a small tiny room I was almost in tears cause I wasn't sure what I could catch or what I've already caught.. I also said, where is the music? isn't there suppose to be music? Yeah, It wasn't turned on till after 15 minutes of sitting there in silents and hearing the sound of someone coughing away... After the music kicked on I heard the WORKER TALKING ON HER PHONE!!! It went on for 5 minutes till I got up and apologized for opening the door on everyone.. Walked in the lobby and the worker was looking at me while gabbing away EXTREMELY LOUD ON HER PHONE... She asked me, "Oh, did you not like it?" I didn't say a word and waited till my friend was done.. Lets just say, I have video of the woman coughing the way she did and the other lady who felt the same way we did, stormed out! These other reviews a so damn fake!!!!! read more
