I needed my apartment cleaned like last week but had waited way toolong. I have company coming for the weekend and my husband asked me to please clean up the house. I have NEVER used a cleaning service but if there ever was a time it was yesterday. I called around to about ten places, Merry Maids, Molly Maids, you name it and they all were super busy and couldn't come out same day. I randomly called A Reliable Polish Cleaning Service and was very impressed. The lovely woman on the phone answered all of my questions and I found her quotes to be extremely reasonable. A sweet, hardworking Teresa came to my apartment within the hour. I thought I didn't have cleaning supplies so she brought everything (turns out I had a ton of supplies but didn't know, ha). She worked her tail off and did an amazing job. I can just breathe better now after she did such good work. I like how she moved almost all of my furniture and took special care with fragile items. I left my apartment several times and would have no issue trusting this company. Everything was in place and beautiful. My bathroom and kitchen looked better than before I moved in. Special thanks to Teresa, what a sweet, hardworking lady! I had to give her credit on Yelp because when my husband came home he was so impressed thinking I did it all. I certainly have scored a ton of points even it it is a little sneaky! I do wish I would of had two ladies cleaning at once, I would request that next time. read more

We needed a cleaning service for one of our rental units. Since many services are closed on Sundays, we were prepared to do the cleaning ourselves. After leaving messages with numerous cleaning services, A Reliable Polish Cleaning Service called to say they could have someone come out on Sunday. The woman (I cannot remember her name unfortunately) came out and showed up on time. She spent almost three hours cleaning our two bedroom/ one bath unit. My only complaint is that she did not dust off the ceiling fans. She was on her hands and knees cleaning the floors; she may been more efficient just using a mop. She spoke very basic English, but otherwise, she did a great job! read more

I use 'A Reliable' for a different purpose than the other reviewers, that is, to come to my house to clean it every other week (2 people 2 hours). They do a great job. Sabrina also keeps up continuity, sending the same couple whenever possible, which is most of the time. I tried a lot of services when I first got to Chicago and this is the one I like and trust and would recommend. read more

We had a HORRIBLE experience with them. I requested a move-out cleaning where they would bring their supplies and a capable person(s) to do the job. One woman showed up with a bucket and a rag to clean a 5000 square foot home. We sent her home after a very weak attempt at cleaning our place- it would have taken her 3 days! I am completely embarrassed that we had to leave our house only swept and not clean for the new owners. I DO NOT recommend these people at all. read more

First off, I was VERY thankful that they were able to make it out, same day, pre-party, when the other cleaning crew I had scheduled DIDN'T SHOW the day before; they arrived a couple hours after I called early Saturday morning, an older couple. I provided supplies. They couldn't quote me a price because it depended on "the condition" either $80 for regular clean or $120 for "deep-clean." The woman on the phone was very friendly, but the people who showed up spoke only very basic English (when I told them to ask me if they needed anything else, which i would think is pretty common, they didn't understand). The cleaners dove right in and attacked for 2.5 hours straight, scrubbing and vacuuming away. The woman was in my (very tiny) bathroom for well over an hour and gets a lot of credit - it's more sparkly than it's been for a very long time because she scrubbed like crazy! The man tackled the bedroom and living room. I have two cats and my place was plenty furry. I would say that they got my place about 90% clean. They left and I still had to sweep up what they'd left behind (hairs, pieces of litter) and wipe down a few things (like cleaning solution dripped on the side of the microwave, front of shiny metal kitchen cabinets not wiped down, dust remaining visible on dark wood bedroom set), but it was a heck of a lot cleaner and i didn't feel as though they were rushing, they just weren't as thorough as i would have been had i wanted to do it myself (which obviously, i didn't). I've never had my house cleaned before, so I'm not sure how to calibrate this level of clean, but i would have thought for $110 (which is what they charged me), attention to detail should have been included. Overall, I was very thankful they came out and about 90% happy with the level of clean they left my place in. read more

This review is way overdue, my apologies for not posting sooner - and sparing others the horrific move-in experience I had as a result of "A Reliable Polish Cleaning Service" not having my unit in pristine move-in condition. So without further adieu, Yelp, is exactly what I was screaming at 10pm on 6/27/11 when I discovered that after 4.5 hours of being in my unit, the cleaner had not bothered to clean the icky bathroom toilet. After paying $120 for a deep move-in clean, I had to clean vents, mop floors, clean baseboards, wipe down cabinets - inside and out, clean and polish my sterling silver appliances, clean the entire bathroom, including the icky toliet. All this after a full day of packing, loading, and unloading, thirty plus heavy boxes and furniture. After discovering, at 10pm, that the bathroom had not been satisfactorily cleaned, I telephoned Sabrina to express my complaint. Instead of immediately offering to remedy the situation, she tells me how it has been an all-around bad day, and that the young lady, Natasha, who cleaned my place, had her car towed while cleaning my unit. I was flustered upon hearing this, especially since I had authorized Sabrina to deduct an additional $10 to cover parking. Ultimately, Sabrina offered to take $20 off of my next cleaning. $20? Are you serious! I am a dissatisfied customer that will never use your service again! On top of all of the afore-mentioned misses on the part of the cleaning crew, my sister discovered that the cleaner had left oven cleaner inside of the oven. I was not about to do any interior oven cleaning on top of all that I had already had to do, so I called Sabrina again. She said that she would have someone come out to clean the oven, which she did. Never once did she offer to refund any portion of the $130 I paid for a deep cleaning. I will never ever use this service again. I didn't get to bed at all that evening for cleaning up the mess this company left behind -- and I had to work the next morning!! If I could have given zero stars to A Reliable Cleaning Service, I would have. The only positive comment I have about this company, is that they were available the same day. read more
