Harley's is a top-notch Men's Apparel store in Milwaukee's Third Ward. It is by far the best in the state and a leader in the Midwest. Their style/product associate, Ahmad, is outstanding. His style, knowledge, and customer service are second to none. After entering the store, he effortlessly greets you and makes you feel instantly comfortable in a store filled with such beautiful clothing. The part I enjoyed the most was his management of my custom clothing order. He educated me on the benefits of clothing made "just for me". He took the time to show me so many beautiful fabrics, models I could select, and most importantly, measure and create a pattern just for me! It didn't stop there; he called when they arrived, met me at the store, and had the pieces ready for me to try on in the dressing room. I stepped out, and he had the tailor waiting to examine the fit with me. I felt like a million bucks. I've never experienced this level of service anywhere before. Wow talk about rude! They have a few parking spaces for customers only and my boyfriend pulled in briefly to let me out. A man next to me tapped the sign and said it was for customers only and that there was a loading zone for the nearby vet in front of the store. First and foremost, we weren't parking there, it was a quick drop off and there wasn't a line of other cars or anything. Secondly, my boyfriend is indeed a man and how did the guy know he wasn't going to check out the store while I ran my errand? I had told him he could check it out instead of just driving around but after I got out the man repeated his line about the loading zone and I said "oh he's leaving don't worry". I texted my boyfriend and told him not to go in- they lost a potential customer all because they couldn't let someone utilize a parking spot for 30 seconds. read more

Referred to Harley's from a friend and used to see it when I went to UWM on the East Side. Service for me has always been spot on, and with the GM Jeff, he is in constant communication with me from my custom suits, to shirts, and orders in-between. Not everything is going to fit off the rack, and if you're looking for a ready made suit with no customization and no wait time, this is not the place for you. The tailors nail it the first time and are experienced; I thank you for making me look good! The guys are professional, aren't over bearing and pushy, and when I've been there it's been a chill atmosphere. Great suits and accessories from brands like Modern man, Canali, Samuelsohn, Eton, and great prices on custom suits as well. Just bought a pair of Magnanni's and price was almost $50 better than Nordstrom. Go see Jeff, you won't be disappointed. read more

Where to start with the horrendous experience I had this weekend with this men's store. I will begin by saying I am an event planner in Chicago and came to Milwaukee for my brothers wedding. I am always in search of amazing vendors in different cities. You never know where my next bride will want to get married. Now, as being a small business owner myself, I love supporting other local small businesses. Even if it means paying more. When my brother told me we were going to Harley's for the tuxes, I was very excited because A. My brother has excellent taste and B. Because it was a boutique men's store. When my husband and I arrived we were politely greeted and asked to try on the tux. Of course we said yes. When my husband came out of the dressing room I was horrified. The pants were way to small and the shirt was 4 sizes to big. I went to ask for assistance and said that we have a small issue with the tux. Bob's response was besides it not fitting, how does it look? What do you mean how does it look? It looks terrible. He came over to the dressing room and blamed us for providing the wrong size. We said no, we got professionally measured and requested a NON SLIM fit tux. We were provided with a slim fit. Just because the groom can fit into slim fit does not mean all of the other guys can also fit in slim fit. I said that he can not leave this store looking like this. Bob raised his hand to me and told me to RELAX! He was so condescending and self righteous to tell a paying female client to relax! Bob said that he would get replacements in the following day. I'm sorry, the following day we have photos starting at 10 am. I can't be in the shop hoping and praying that this suit fits. He also blamed us that the suits have been in since Tuesday and if we came in on Tuesday we wouldn't have this problem. I looked at bob and told him that we love out of state. We couldn't come on Tuesday. We were here Friday. He as the business should have offered more helpful suggestions and said, I am sorry the tux doesn't fit perfectly, this is how we can fix it. He said nothing and blamed us. Out of 10 guys that needed suits, 9 had issues and needed new tuxes sent. The father of the bride had vomit on his second attempt suit and needed a third sent. My husband smelled like stale cigars, because who knows how and if they were cleaned. As a wedding professional, I would never recommend this store. I hope that he is not the owner and if he is, I am terribly offended at his customer service. I understand that they are trying to serve a certain clientele, because their prices are no subtle clue to that effect. I would have expected a certain level of customer service. Harley's has certainly done an excellent job of showing their true business philosophy and has totally turned off this chicago wedding planner. read more

I rarely go in this store as the sales staff doesn't really assist you unless you "look the part (i.e. Well monied"). That being said, I have found some decent prices on ties at end of season prices. Otherwise I would rather spend my money with merchants that actually care about what you are looking for instead of having the sales staff standing around and acting put upon when you try to get their help. read more

Do not let the name fool you; the store is great for women, too. I have a very difficult time finding suits to fit me. After years of frustration at department stores, I gave up and started asking around for a place that could custom make a women's skirt suit. Local First Milwaukee suggested Harley's For Men. I was skeptical based on the name but decided it was worth inquiring. The staff was exceedingly attentive, helpful and friendly. Jeff sat down with me to help me find the right fabric and style. He listened to what I needed and was able to make suggestions that took my price range into account. John, the tailor, was very polite and respectful when measuring and also offered style and cut advice based on his experience. Jeff kept me updated on the status and let me know when my suit was ready to try on. John, Jeff and I decided it needed some modifications once we saw it on me. Those were done within a few days. John made some minor tweaks at the final fitting, and then I was set. I absolutely love my suit. It's extremely well made. I keep finding new pockets, which is great fun. I've gotten tons of compliments on it. I'll be paying for it for awhile as having a made-from-scratch tailored suit is a bit pricier than a department store, but it is very, very worth it. I finally have one quality suit that actually fits me. When I'm ready for a second, I'll be back at Harley's. read more

Interesting clothing lines. everything for hubby needs to be ordered or custom-made. Good service first day then I brought my husband on his day off and we were dismissed. Snooty non-service and we left with a bad taste. In the end, we'll never come back because we were treated badly, and can find all their items online including the custom shirts we came to check out. It would have been nice to have a place to buy shirts and trousers for life, but they missed out. We've had great relationships with clothiers in major cities and resort areas but in Milwaukee?
