We decided to shop local so went to Fase-Kaluf. Maria helped us when we first looked by showing us machines in our price range. When we were pains and said we were going home to check out the consumer reports on the different models, she was not salty about it. And when we came back in 2 days to buy a machine, she was helpful again, both in helping us make the purchase and in scheduling delivery. It was delivered in 2 days, and has been delighting my husband ever since. (It's an LG this time, and sings a little song when it starts and stops. Cute, right?) I will gladly choose this company next time we have an issue with an appliance, and wish I had done so when we needed those big-ticket items (fridge, washer and dryer) when we first moved in. I kept following up to confirm delivery, and when the time came, they said my microwave was in but didn't mention that the stove had arrived too. I had to push for both to be delivered together. As for the dishwasher I ordered at the same time, it's been delayed three times, and no one ever reaches out. Every time I call for an update, I'm told they'll text me when delivery is scheduled. At one point, they even asked if I wanted them to contact our rep--really? I get told not to yell when I haven't even raised my voice yet, though by now I guess I am. This is our third delay, and they keep blaming it on the fact that I ordered black stainless steel. If that's the case, why does APT's website say it's available in a week, and Home Depot in two? I tried to shop locally, but all it's gotten me is frustration. I've purchased from them before and had a great experience, but this time it's left me regretting the decision entirely.

Jason will not make corrective repairs to the 2" PVC pipe run in my basement that exceeds 60' run, in which experts have indicate that this PVC pipe is undersized for this length of exhaust run. Even worse, he will not correct the placement of the tankless water heater exhaust flue that is directly under living space windows. I cannot use these two rooms with windows open or the exhaust fumes waft into my home. Kroozwyk violated the 3 to 4 foot minimum distance for the exhaust flue to be positioned near living space windows. I've had multiple conversations with the office manager requesting they make corrective repairs, but this company refuses to correct their deficiencies. I plan to pursue this matter in Lake County Indiana Small Claims Court unless they contact me to make corrective repairs or within a week of this post. This location is Hebron, IN in Lake County.

As he found things I thought I should remember I'd start writing a note, he'd say "don't worry it will be in the report". I was a bit worried as reading a home inspection report can be complicated. Nate's report not only detailed everything, it had pictures of each specific area, so I had a visual to go along with reading the report. Everything was clear, noting something that needs attention now, down the road or just general maintenance. Service is in the details, at one point Nate was inspecting the circuit breaker box and noted that a screw was missing on the panel. He stopped, went to his vehicle and came back with the appropriate screw, immediately fixing the issue. He said that was easier than putting it in the report :-) When someone takes care of the little things I'm confident he'll do a great job with the bigger things. I would highly recommend United Home Inspections!

After performing multiple re-inspections for the same investment property, we had to keep chasing down Nate to explain the results. As a customer, it's like I'm burdening him. Plus, he doesn't provide his phone number. You have to call his office, who then messages him, and then he will call you back. But, if you miss his call, he will not leave a message. And then you have to do the process all over again to have him call you back. This was very frustrating. If you are looking for an inspector / company who has good customer service, look elsewhere.
