I was referred to Dr Tracy Dillon by my dentist because of a complicated oral surgery that needed…read moreimmediate attention, when I called his office , I was told that it would be at least a 2 weeks waiting period , when I explain to them that the problem was somewhat urgent my call was transferred to Ms Elisabeth ( the young lady in charge of the appointment)s) Ms Elisabeth found a way to bring me in the office that very same day for a consultation and scheduled the surgery 48 hours later , let me say this it probably took me less than 10 minutes to realize that I was in good hands after interacting with Dr Dillon , the man is incredibly wonderful, very personable , very caring , takes the time to listen to you and put me at ease by explaining the whole procedure along with the introduction of his team , I am out of words to describe how wonderful and professional he is along with his staff , I am one of those who is terrified to go to the dentist, I have extreme fear and anxiety, I just cannot deal with it but Dr Dillon put me to sleep and no pain , to me my most remarkable impression of him was when I received a personal phone call on my cell at 9 pm that day after the surgery, yes you read right 9 Pm after business hours and guess what it was Dr Dillon who was simply checking on me to see how I was doing , if I had eaten anything or if I was in any pain , I remained quite for a moment completely baffled with tears rolling down my eyes before jumping to joy and excitement about his call ( I don't think he knew I was tearing up ) I NEVER EVER HAD THAT EXPERIENCE WITH A DR LIKE HIM Conclusion Dr Dillon is not just any kind of Dr/oral surgeon, he is what I call a FAMILY DOCTOR , a keeper , a telephone number that you keep as high priority locked in your cell phone , someone who's got my business from now on but also someone that you call if you need medical advice not necessarily related to his expertise but who can point you towards the right direction with referrals That is how much I think of him . I really enjoy their model of making "going to the dentist" not a boring chore. The facilities are clean and pretty, featuring "The Brushery" after you get checked in. They give you a free toothbrush and toothpaste in a travel size carrying bag when you come for the first time. They also offer select TV episodes to watch while you are in the treatment room. I liked that the staff weren't too forceful selling their services, for example the dentist referred me to a dental surgeon for a consult. They gave me helpful dental hygiene tips and my teeth are looking shinier than ever! I am coming back in October for a follow-up.

She has been my hygienist for more than 15 years and is the primary reason I continue to come to Tend Dental. After my cleaning, Dr. Buchanan came in to review my X-rays. During our conversation, he asked whether I was currently seeing another dentist. I explained that I was not seeing another dentist for routine care. However, he stated that notes in my chart indicated otherwise and proceeded to pull those notes up on the screen. He then asked, in what felt like an accusatory manner, "Did you not say this?" While I do see another doctor for specialized treatment when needed, I found this interaction concerning and uncomfortable. I was particularly surprised that internal chart notes were displayed and referenced in that way. The manner in which the information was presented felt more like an interrogation than a professional discussion. Dr. Buchanan also asked for the name and contact information of the other dental office so that additional X-rays would not need to be taken. While I understand the intent behind that request, the overall conversation felt unusual and unprofessional. I am scheduled to return in two weeks to have the other side of my mouth cleaned. Although I was very pleased with my hygienist and the care I received, I would prefer not to be seen by Dr. Buchanan during my next visit.

There was, or should have been a notification to report this change to me because that was my primary and only insurance. I never agreed to continue here out of network. I am upset and frustrated because of all the times I've asked what is going on no one mentioned that we are no longer in network with MetLife. So to the receptionist that told me "if I'm not going to pay she has to cancel my appointment and I can not get my dental records" please go ahead and keep the records and cancel the appointment because I will be finding a provider IN-Network that knows how to communicate with their patients. Immediately after looking at the claim at the top of the page it says out of network! Who wants to pay more for care that is covered in-network?

Since the practice relocated and Dr. Koch took over, it's been a steady and disappointing decline. Dr. Koch took over the practice and it's completely gone downhill since they've moved. She hasn't personally examined my teeth in years, except for brief check-ins for orthodontic treatment. Most of my visits have been with Dr. Mondani, who completely lacks chair-side manner and shows zero warmth or connection. Every interaction now feels rushed, impersonal, and transactional. It's clear the focus is no longer on patient care--it's on moving people in and out as fast as possible. The new office space mirrors the cold, detached experience: sterile, industrial, and uninviting. It's the perfect metaphor for how the practice now operates--clinical and profit-driven, with none of the comfort or care you'd hope for in a family dental office. One of the other issues that adds to the decline of this place is that they no longer validate the parking for a full visit. They only validate for 1 hour and they have NEVER actually gotten me in and out within an hour so I have a pay a balance when I leave. It's only a few dollars but it's quite an annoyance. Another huge issue is the turnover is staff, clearly there is an issue with how they treat their employees as well because the tech turnover is insanely high. I haven't seen the same tech more than twice in a row and I'm trying to get to know a new tech each time. This used to be a dental office I trusted and recommended. Not anymore. If you're looking for a practice that values you as a patient and runs with professionalism and care, look elsewhere. This place is a shell of what it used to be.

The scammers running "Polish" are just now calling themselves something else. Also, every positive review I checked into on this site or Google turned out to be fake. One of them literally had "John Doe" as the name, so the fake positive reviews weren't even very well done. ##### I had a very bad experience with this office ("Comfort Dental" Midtown Atlanta, which seems to be the same people and location as the now-defunct "Polish Dental"). I went in for a routine checkup and cleaning. They performed the cleaning without having reviewed my records or done an exam first, and then the dentist told me everything was fine and I could go home... still without reviewing my x-rays or chart. (Anybody ever heard of a *real* medical professional performing procedures without looking at a chart first?) Only after I questioned this did they look -- and immediately found a serious cracked tooth: this is a type of problem that should have stopped them from performing even a cleaning until after it was fixed. Indeed, once they bothered to look at my x-rays, they stated it was urgent, and pushed for same-day crown work. The procedure was poorly handled (multiple failed attempts at numbing because they kept injecting the wrong site, and severe pain), and the temporary crown failed within about 24 hours (because they botched the "geometry" of the grinding so badly another dentist later had to completely redo it), leaving me with an exposed tooth and chronic pain. After that, the office became nonresponsive. They did not provide *any* follow-up care, would not clearly explain billing, and failed to provide complete medical records despite repeated written requests. I was charged nearly $1,000 for work that provided no benefit, and they also billed my insurance for a procedure they did not complete -- in fact, they billed for additional work they didn't even attempt to perform! I had to pay another dentist entirely out of pocket to fix the issue, because they wouldn't even refund the insurance for the work they hadn't done step-one to perform. Isn't that insurance fraud? There are also concerns about how this business is operating. They changed the name from Polish Dental, I guess because that company went out of business... but are still running credit cards and billing insurance in the no-longer-exsitant busines name. Finally, when I contacted GA State dental regulatory folks, they couldn't find any record of "Comfort Dental" even having a valid license to practice in this state. Maybe this needs to be a Fulton County District Attorney or even a GBI level matter, given how many laws they seem to be breaking. I'm not a lawier, but isn't practicing without a license a felony? Same for insurance fraud? I'd like a law enforcement pro to take a look, in any case, because these folks are a clear ongoing threat to public safety. Overall, this was not just a billing issue -- it raised serious concerns about basic clinical standards and patient safety. I would strongly caution others.

I had a lot of work done at once after face planting on curb. 1 tooth just needed a crown as precaution bring beside the rest. She reduced that tooth such that even temp wouldn't stay on. I was told real crown would be different and was issued new fused temp. Crowns came in. It took over an hour to position by the hygienist (I didn't know better). My front tooth is completely out of line. The tooth that was reduced to nearly nothing (w/o root canal) never stayed in. I returned multiple times. Was even issued a mold of my teeth because she was certain I'd loose or swallow that crown. It's crushed me. Depressed. Embarrassed. Traumatized. It's damaged my life and led to isolation and self hate. I never once heard "I'm sorry." I was never asked what color I wanted for my 4 front teeth crowns. Instead I was told how painful and damaging removing the out of line crown would be and expensive. As to the overly reduced tooth- I literally was treated as if I had created this problem. Given another huge price estimate. Honestly, the trauma fr this puts me in panic and rage and full of pulsating anxiety that isn't fleeting. Their front desk ladies are great and unfortunately sometimes caught in middle. I should note 2 things. When I first went- they used a different crown company. When they changed I was called in and that is when she cut my tooth to a nub. Secondly, that dentist now has her own practice; however, polish still doesn't stand behind their extremely pricey work. She did excellent root canals but ruined the healthiest tooth - No apology. Yet, Polish keep calling me wanting more business as I daily struggle with damage they left me with. Every reflection - every social interaction- I have ti worry my front tooth will fall out. It's the single biggest regret of my life. So, save yourself and go anywhere but here. Those wondering- I tripped over a curb with my hands full face planting into concrete corner. It leveled my 3 front teeth (root canals & crowns) the last over reduced tooth was chipped but alignment was going to be problem w/o crown. That's what landed me there. Cost with 2 dental insurance coverages was as much as my first car. I am currently under a new dentist care.
