This office is full of professionals who care, work quickly and explain thoroughly. The office is clean, and has the ability to do many lab procedures. We have worked with several of the employees but Dr. Young is consistently excellent in the type of care needed. I wish they had a weekend emergency phone line. Other than that, they saved us from an unprofessional, marginally clean visit at Greenbriar dental where the doctor was a no show for my daughter's surgery. MINT was our blessing. read more

My recent dental visit was highly successful and hassle-free, beginning with the ease of scheduling a new patient exam and cleaning for both me and my husband. Dr. Ancar was knowledgeable and sweet. All her supporting staff, dental hygienist D, Tamia, and Fatou were all fantastic and so friendly. They created such a good energy for anxious people like myself. Financially, the visit was transparent and affordable, as the cleaning was completely covered by my dental insurance, and I was comfortable with the quoted price for the necessary two fillings that I wasn't pressured into getting right away. Dr. Ancar's skillful technique, when numbing me quickly put me at ease just as I was ready to be overly anxious and dramatic. I hardly felt anything when receiving the needle for the gum injection. I have to say I read the reviews before making my appointment, some where rough and I came in with a head full of apprehension; however I live in Historic College park and love to support businesses in my neighborhood. I had wisdom teeth extractions done and I have to say I cannot praise the team enough! They treated me with the tender care and dedication. I was informed of every step they made, they did pain check-ins often and made sure I was comfortable. Avoid this location! I had a not so good experience when I went to this location the second time, but against my own judgment, I went back because I figured it was an isolated incident and the next time I would get a better dentist/technician to do my cleaning. Well, I didn't even make it to my appointment because I was stuck up front trying to prove that I had an appointment!! I had to open my text messages to showed the front desk receptionist that I had an appointment at this location. They blow your phone up with text messages to get you to come in and then when I finally select a date to come in and send a confirmation that I will be there, the appointment is non-existing when I show up!!!! WTH!!!! It's probably better that I didn't go because I went against my better judgment after having a less than poor experience with them the previous visit. Please avoid this dentist office at all costs! My 1st appt went "OK". They took over 2 hours for a simple cleaning and told me there was a "mix up" with the Hygienist so the one I was waiting for WENT TO LUNCH WHILE I WAS THERE. Which is what took so long. Huh? Um,ok, I didn't trip too much because I was working from my phone. Although inconvenienced they were polite about it so I let it slide and continred with my appt leaving THREE HOURS LATER. NOW!! 2ND AND LAST APPOINTMENT. My appt was 2 fold: 10am cleaning, 10:45am Extraction. I arrive 15 minutes early as requested, and around 10:45 I finally get up to see what is going on because they have yet to take me in the back to get my cleaning. At this point I've been there for 1 hour. They told me that they were backed up and someone will be calling me in the back soon. 11:00 a.m. they call me in the back and the lady immediately starts to talk to me about the extraction. I said well what happened to my cleaning? She says, "well I don't know if that's going to be able to happen today as you can see we're busy". I said okay no worries, let's just move forward because I am on a time crunch today. The doctor comes in and then immediately numbs my mouth and says she'll be back shortly. At 11:50am I start looking around and looking for them. I feel the numbing is starting to wear off and it's been almost an hour since they numbed my mouth and no one has come back. I complain to the front desk and an office manager comes out. He's very polite and promises I'll be taken care of soon. About 5 minutes later, a different dentist comes, she has to RENUMB my mouth because the majority of the initial numbing had worn off. They are apologetic, so no big deal. I'm Easy. She begins my extraction and SLIPS shoving the instrument into my gums, ripping a big hole into my mouth. I'm livid. But at their mercy. You'd think that that was the reason why I'm saying to never go to this dentist. It's not, I understand that mistakes happen. The main reason, is after they did my extraction they never ever sent my prescription or antibiotics to the pharmacy! They told me it would happen electronically and I could go immediately after I left. I went within 15 minutes of leaving the appointment and no antibiotics or painkillers were there. I said okay, maybe I'm too early. I went home & laid down. 4 hours later my daughter goes to get my prescription. NO PRESCRIPTION! I call their local number and the call center picks up and transfers me to a voicemail. I naively leave a voicemail. No one ever called me back. Fast forward to 6:30 p.m. my daughter goes back to the pharmacy still no prescription there! We are now 6.5 hours past my surgery and I am starting to throb! I call the number again and I speak to a girl who tells me that there is absolutely no way to page the dentist. What do you mean!? I just had a whole oral surgery & no one bothered to call in my prescription?! No one bothered to call in my antibiotics so I won't get an infection!? I have a gaping hole in my mouth because the dentist had slippery hands! I have a throbbing extracted tooth area! This is unacceptable! This place feels like a factory. They're taking multiple people at a time and cranking them in and out. The lady told me that Central Booking books a ton of people, the office directly books people in house and that's why they're always backed up and have way more patients than they have staff. It's clear that they are not about quality service. They're all about numbers and volume. I don't care how much they smile or how nice the office looks or the chair is warming. You have to follow through and take care of your clients and not injure them during surgery and then forget to give the painkillers and antibiotics. I encourage you to find a personalized dentist office & not these people! I had appointments scheduled for 3 of my children and my husband and I will be canceling immediately. Not like they care, they're a big Factory pumping people in and out without personalized service anyway. We're just another number!!!!! read more

When I 1st arrived I was expecting the worse, because my appt was@11:00am. i arrived@10:15 to do paperwork. Then they haven't even gotten confirmation from my insurance and I may the appt on the 10th of August. Then I was finally called@11:21 to do a standing x-ray, then did two more different sets in the back in the chair.. unnecessary.. The lady in the black that did them was very PROFESSIONAL.. to make a long story short I want be returning.. For them to assume you will agree with break down after I know I had a coverage for my cleaning.. That was why I was there for just to try them out only.. nothing more.. read more

When I booked, I expected to have the experience my fellow reviewers had. When I called to rebook, I landed in Plano, TX, where my appt was not found. I got rebooked. Up until the day of the appt I received an annoying amount of txt confirmations with no "better" number to contact, if I needed. Upon my arrival, I was thoroughly impressed by the comfortable, modern aesthetics but was greeted by nothing but "I don't wanna be here" vibes. It didn't take long to be seen. Waking through almost the entire back of the house I admired the flat screens & other modern patient chairs and tech workstations and equipment. The area that I landed in didn't disappoint either. The preliminary measurements & exam was almost a breeze...over a half hour. After-which l, the doctor breezes in to inform me that I needed a deep cleaning when I hadn't even gotten a deep cleaning. Never mind my reason for visiting never getting addressed (cracked tooth). Doc was out of the quicker that I could say "well what about..." I was quickly escorted to reception again, where we would talk about plans for the deep cleaning. Still my concerns were not addressed. So I ask the polite-doing-his-job young man if I could see the doctor again to ask. Instead, out comes another staff member who was fully prepared to tell me that they would be accused of malpractice if, I decided not to return for the deep cleaning after they did the regular cleaning today. Huh?? To make sure I heard right, I rephrased it in the form of a question. But that only annoyed her. So I scheduled my deep cleaning. Two or so days before my appt - having taken the day off - o get a txt informing me that my appt has been rescheduled. To when? I don't know, because it never mentioned in txt, email, phone call or anything. Guess what happened when I called to find out? I got Plano, TX again who, AGAIN had no record of an appt. For a spot to be so concerned about me returning for a deep cleaning and concerned about malpractice, they really should be MORE concerned about their operations and customer service. So here I am months later with neither regular cleaning, deep cleaning nor tooth repaired. What I DO have is an insurance charge, copayment crown the drain and no additional initial visit allotment from insurance (used it on MINT). I love that your patients love MINT, but I am not convinced. Neither are the coworkers who also visited MINT at this location and another. Do better. We need more dentists i our communities. We don't need another healthcare scammer. read more

This place was amazing! I have never had such a pain free cleaning in my life. The staff was soooo friendly and personable. I love that I could choose my music, they gave me a blanket, and the chair was awesome. I was very relaxed. I wanted to go to sleep. They make getting your teeth cleaned such a great experience. Waited and hour and said had to verify my insurance which I submitted a week prior. After all that time asked me to reschedule. This is ghetto. I try to support this location because I live in Union City. Never again. I will try to go to midtown ,since I have another appointment nearby same day. I will have further updates later.
