Everything was nice, clean and fancy looking. Odd to say about a dental office but it was. I was pleased with the service and the DR... WOW! He was great. They did pretty good job on the work. I did cleaning and filling with them. The reason I am giving two stars is that they charged me initially much more than I am supposed to. I knew that until I received a bill from my insurance company. After calling them, they were actually aware of it and mentioned that the money will be creditted on the next visit. From patient perspective, I feel cheated because I don't think they would have refunded the money if I didn't point it out to them. So, make sure you check the bills both from them and from your insurance! read more

When I chipped a tooth I called A Smiling Heart Dentistry after finding them via Google search. I am pretty afraid of the dentist so this was a difficult situation for me. The receptionist that answered the phone identified my fear and made me feel extremely comfortable. She also helped me when I arrived to remain calm. The dental assistant Ula also helped me quite a bit during the treatment. She checked on me often and did her best to help create a comfortable situation for me. The treatment I received was top notch and although I am still afraid of the dentist I will be going back to this one. read more

Some of the dentists and hygienists are very kind and competent and everyone is nice, but there have been so many mistakes with appointments and billing that I'm going to change dentists. Far too frequently they call on the day of an appointment to make a change, and once I was told I was going to be charged for missing an appointment they made without talking to me, and another time for an appointment changed by a last-minute voicemail from the appointment I actually made. Fortunately I had the phone records to prove it. I've seen unexplained charges on the dental insurance notice compared to what was actually done, so I advise anyone planning to use this dentist to get quotes and invoices in writing. And most recently a filling they had done previously cracked, and they did a "temporary" only because, I was told only after the procedure, the insurance wouldn't have paid for a proper repair until at least a year had passed (I wasn't offered the choice even if I had been willing to pay out of pocket). However, when I called the insurance later I was told that both what I had been quoted about the time limits and insurance company review was incorrect, and what I was told about the insurance reimbursement for the subsequently needed root canal was also incorrect. Since by now I was paying completely out of pocket due to the benefits being exhausted, I wound up getting a second and third opinion and both said I should have gotten a proper crown and it would have been normal practice not to charge for the "temporary" fix, which also cracked within only a couple of months and so I had wound up having to make multiple appointments that also wouldn't have normally attracted a charge to fix what had been done before. These extra appointments weren't just time off work and pain but also a per-visit "palliative care" charge of over $100 added to the cost of the X-rays and exams. The roses and warm towels that are occasionally added are nice but you pay for them with the higher prices than what the dental insurance will reimburse. Most recently I have been told they will review and remove these charges, and I hope this turns out to be true. read more

Dr Tigran and his team are focused professionals who are dedicated to making the entire dental experience a great one...from scheduling, billing, preventive care and invasive procedures, ....the entire team does a tremendous job toward ensuring excellent care and positive outcomes. I just had an exam/cleaning/x-rays this morning and I can, without a doubt, say that this was the best dentist experience I've ever had! Everyone was very polite and informative. I really appreciated that they explained what they were doing every step of the way and explained exactly what was going on with my teeth. At first, I was kind of surprised by how small the space was, but they use it efficiently and everything is very clean and organized. I was very pleased and I will definitely be back. read more

I highly recommend Smiling Heart Dentistry. The dentists and staff are very knowledgeable, professional, kind, and most importantly patient care and comfort. Dr T is a faculty member at the University of Washington Dental School and thus all the dental equipment is the state of the art. Crowns are now made in the office shortening the wait time by 2 to 3 weeks. When you arrive, there are massaging chairs, beverages, and the treat is a paraffin wax for your hands if you have a long dental appointment. Never have I been to a doctors office that provides such amenities. The paraffin wax alone is $15 at a salon. You will not regret making Smiling Heart Dentistry you new dentist!!! read more
