I am continually being mistreated by management at this facility. He will not return emails…read morerequesting assistance nor will he do anything to help when I walk in the office. I tried to link my accounts into the app they make you use but then dont assist any further instead he tells me they don't do that and haven't done it for a year. When using the app it says go into the office to ask for assistance. I called customer service and they said I'd have to go into the office. This is the kind of run around I get just to access my account. Yet he had no issue sending me an email to tell me my card on file expires in a month or my bill is past due by a day or no problem taking money from the card on file when I did not set up autopay (since I still can't even access the account) just so he can charge me an extra $50 for staying 15 minutes past 8pm. I am still having issues with what I was told at sign up 3 months ago and what is actually allowed at this facility. I would avoid this place at all cost! It's going to cost me an extra 1k due to there lack of concern and lies for their customers. I have no idea if the owner is telling management to breach the contract or if management is being petty on their own without the owner knowing since I haven't heard from him yet either. Would love to get this all resolved amicably before I get another month of fees here.

Then, CubeSmart took over, raised the cost by roughly 3x and completely disregarded security. There are no cameras monitoring the interior of the facility so they have nothing to give the police when your unit inevitably gets burglarized. The reason I picked this location was because I was told by their staff that they lived on-site and the 2 units I rented from them were supposed to be air conditioned and they claimed they had cameras in the inside hallways where I rented 2 units which turned out to be a lie. Our stuff was NOT safe from theft as they led me to believe. Someone broke in and stole some of our stuff including all kinds of sentimental records of my deceased loved one. They never paid for it, never replaced it and never apologized. Yet they kept raising our rent several times each year AFTER that. I feel like there have been way more thefts at this site because it is left unattended A LOT DURING REGULAR BUSINESS HOURS! I have come to the site numerous times at various times (not lunch time) to pay our bill with no one even being on site to receive the monthly rent and paying online is not always easy. AFTER we were robbed the wrought iron gate on the side next to the 99 cents store was severely bent down for several months (close to a year) allowing the drug addicts around the area to climb over the gate into the property and steal our stuff. I have also witnessed the gate being wide opened numerous times while the property is unattended during customary business hours. I have actually videotaped the homeless taking advantage of the malfunctioning gate and going into the property where I am sure they were up to no good and NO ONE WORKED there to stop them from going in. CubeSmart is a very large company and should do better to protect our property especially since that is one of the things they market-"secure clean facilities." They clearly DO NOT care about there customers because I researched it and this seems to be a regular and continual problem-theft by breaking our locks and peoples' property just coming up missing at several of their San Bernardino county locations and the locks are still on them when the customers check on their stuff. When I call to discuss my rent rate they say it's due to market rates. Which is crazy because they use low rates to bring customers in and once they are moved in the jack up the cost. I've tried to get ahold of the area manager for over 2 weeks and they are "not available" and let me know they will return my call. And yet, no returned call. I've also submitted an inquiry online and no response to that either. Only reason I haven't moved out is because I don't have the man power to move all my stuff all over but as soon as I do I am leaving this facility and never looking back.
