They put in a defective burner replacement in our expensive Jenn-Air stove. Or they installed it incorrectly, who knows? When we discovered it, the pandemic had started. They said we could wait to have them return till after the pandemic. When we called a few months ago, they changed their tune and wanted to charge us to come out and repair the defective burner they had installed, or installed incorrectly. Much haggling later, the service guy comes out and says--guess what?--he can't fix it. Says he'll order the part and promptly disappears, for a second time. That was three months ago. Various attempts to contact them w/ no return phone calls on their part. They are complete crooks.

We bought a Brand new Microwave in December 2017. Stopped working on April 10. I called the…read moremanufacturer and they organized with Allstate appliance to fix it. Repair man came out on 4/11. Diagnosed as a bad motherboard. Said he'll order the part and come back in a week To fix it. Annoying but ok. Fast forward 9 days. I called for an update. Woman on the phone was rude and short with me. She was quite condescending explaining to me why the parts weren't in stock. I called back on 4/26 for another update. Amazingly, they had "just gotten the delivery" and could come our next day to fix it. They can come between 8-12. I asked for a courtesy call 10 minutes out to put the dog away and my wife could get the baby situated. No call. Anyhow, repair man shows up. Takes everything out of my cabinet, takes down the microwave to fix it. Guess what? He forgot the fuse he needed. He was going to grab it the next morning and come back to fix it. He wanted to leave the microwave on my kitchen island, disassembled, and just leave. We said absolutely not, he rolled his eyes and reinstalled the (still quite broken) microwave. I said see you tomorrow. This was 4/27/18. Fast forward to yesterday (5/16/18). I call the company and spoke to Ms. pleasant on the phone. She puts me on hold and when she picks back up, she told me that they're waiting on the motherboard. I explained that was already changed out and we just needed the fuse. She sighs and then she puts me on hold again. She comes back and said that they had to special order the fuse, but guess what???? The fuse had arrived THIS MORNING. Hallelujah. The tech was scheduled to come out tomorrow and fix it between 8-12. I asked for a courtesy call. He just showed up. No call. It would have been worth it to me to buy a new microwave and never worked with this company. It's been 6+ weeks. This whole process and warranty claim was free. And I still feel like it was overpriced. Terrible customer service. The tech was a nice guy. He did everything he could. Frustrating experience Update: microwave still not fixed.

8/4/22 - I am revising my review - Wickford did step up and return part of this charge, as far as…read moreI'm concerned it should have been done before I did a poor Yelp review. I think Wickford has good prices for their appliances and good delivery, they just need to get their customer service department to a place that we as a consumer does not to have to resort to poor review. Will I go to Wickford again, Of Course, because they do have a good representation of appliances. And I want to thank the manager for finally looking into this matter, it would have been better if you would have answered my husband's phone calls instead, but I give you credit for responding to my review. (Old Review) I am extremely disappointed with Wickford's customer service. We bought a refrigerator from them, the delivery went fine, but we were charged $139.99 for installation. The installer came took off a plastic piece and never installed anything. We understand they have to pay the person to come, but we feel over charged for this because they never replace any of the water piping for the new refrigerator. When we called for a partial they said they would call us back - we waited - we had to call them twice before we received an answer. There customer service is terrible and they do not care about the consumer.

Beyond frustrating - they will not service ANYONE new and aren't helpful at all. Don't even bother…read moreanswering the phone anymore.

I'm really disappointed I have to write this review, but people need to know they're people out…read morethere who will take advantage. Last year I gave this company 5 stars on their Google page (Layla wa salesperson) I bought 3 rooms of furniture that I love. I liked it so much I decided to go back to buy a sofa for a friend as I had credit available to help them out. I found a sofa, sent a photo-it was a "YES!" Sofa was listed as $799 with tags indicating it was "Jedi". The salesman said he only had the floor model and noted a small inconsistency in color (it was hardly noticeable) but there would be no discount (weird, but ok) I went to pay but had forgotten my card/ID, so said I would return after work with a friends van. I happened to look online for measurements only to find the sofa I looked at in the store was called "Booyah" not "Jedi" with size and a $200 price difference. I was thinking, great now maybe I can buy my friend a coffee table or something. I went back to the store with screenshots of their website to show the correct sofa. The salesman adamantly refused to look, insisted that it was the jedi.... Even though it clearly was not because there's a difference in color and pillow pattern.... And then had the balls to say 'it doesn't matter anyway they're the same price" When clearly they are not. I drove an hour away to another store and it was confirmed I was 100% correct, but they did not have the sofa in stock....I left and ended up at Ashley Home Store...paid $900 for a sofa but wasn't lied to.

They are NOT customer service friendly at all. Rude salesman. I would NEVER go back there again…read more Condescending salesman caused me to cut my shopping spree short because I already knew I did not want to give this man a one cent commission!!!

I drive by this business during my commute to and from work, and have wanted to write a review for…read moreseveral months now. But, an unusually cool spring has left this business appearing as quiet as the proverbial Maytag repair shop. Despite the uncooperative weather that squelched this year's spring fever, I saw the owner faithfully tending to his plants (I've seen him out there as early as 7:30 a.m.) over the past few months. Now that it's taken until the latter part of May and the beginning of June for spring to have finally taken root, this store is now in its full glory, and the time seemed ripe for a visit. This business is located on a busy commercial road, next to a small convenience store (both businesses share the same parking lot). Speaking of parking, there isn't much, but then again, I've never seen a lot of activity on weekdays, during working hours (I can't vouch for evenings or weekends). I'm not so sure that the Yelp category of nursery/garden center most accurately describes this business, since they don't appear to actually grow the plants on premises, at least from what I could observe. I wouldn't categorize them as a florist either. Instead, I would describe them as a plant retailer. I don't know how or where this business obtains the plants it sells, but I will say they appeared very vibrant and healthy - in better condition than the typical big box stores, and as good or even better than many large nurseries. They sell mostly flowers, but a few vegetable plants as well, such as tomatoes, cucumbers and peppers. Most of their flowers are in hanging pots, but some are in temporary containers, with the intention they will be replanted indoors or outdoors. For the small size of the store, they have a decent variety of flowers. Some stands displaying the plants are outdoors, and some stands are indoors. The man who I presume was the owner was friendly, without being pushy. Referring to several empty display stands indoors, he said he was very busy last weekend and sold many plants, but will be restocking soon. My wife is a bigger plant shopper than me, so I don't have as good a handle on prices, but the prices here seemed like good deals to me. Several potted plants could be bought for $4.99. Some were around $10. Others, like some cucumber plants around three feet tall, were $15. Many of the hanging plants were about $20, such as the particularly beautiful fuschia (which I saw selling for about $5 more at a nursery). The store is nothing fancy, mostly table after table of plants. The owner's 'office' at the front of the store consisted of a recliner and portable television about the size of an old-school transistor radio. I ended up buying a cherry tomato plant, about two feet tall, for a mere $2 - nowadays, $2 won't get you a decent cup of coffee! I definitely plan on returning, since the owner seems friendly, and the plants appear very healthy and reasonably priced.
