I wish I found this business years ago because it would have saved me all the aggravation and disappointment of buying at Home Depot and dealing with horrendous customer service. From our very first visit I was amazed by the selection, value and focus on customer satisfaction. We bought a replacement stove that was far better than the Samsung unit it replaced. Then we saw a double door refrigerator that might fit in a very tight space in our kitchen. Joe actually came to our home to confirm it would and within a few days we had it in place and it basically saved our marriage. No longer did we have to fight over limited storage and a tiny freezer. Ordered a full appliance set from them. The fridge took 14 months to arrive due to "supply" issues at Whirlpool. Once it did arrive and was delivered, the install guys left mighty quick. Once they left I noticed a few large scratches on the door. I emailed S and W just inquiring if I could do anything. To this day I have not heard any response. ***UPDATE*** 5 weeks later my dryer rolled a 7 and I went back to S&W. read below, was taken care of as usual. Dryer I researched delivered in 3 business days. 8-10 delivery window and 8:18am they came. In and out in 15 minutes. Thanks I'll get to the points... Family of four here and our washer died, no bueno, not even for a day or two. I was sick of the front loading turds and all their problems. Our previous washer was the Lemon of all lemons. Anyway, I wanted quality, top loading and die hard reliability. I see 1300+ reviews with a 4.7 rating for a Speed Queen model. Read 4 hours of reviews and I was sold. I checked Speed Queens website and found S&W as a local retailer around 3am. The next morning, I called S&W ten minutes before their store opened and I got Adam. I explained what I wanted and he said "it's the best washer out there" I could tell Adam meant it, he was genuine. I was hoping they had one in stock but they did not. He did say I can have it delivered to your home, new stainless hoses and remove the old turd with tax included for $89 under msrp, I was stoked. Gave him my CC # over the phone and the deal was done. Super, SUPER nice guy. They called me as promised to set up a time for the following day, a 3hr window and they showed up 40 minutes into the first hour, awesome!! Delivery crew worked fast, clean and took doors off and on in lightning time. I sit here and praise this mom and pop outfit. People get bent out of shape because business isn't conducted like this anymore but it is when you shop local. They've earned my business for life. Can't wait until my dryer dies:) read more

I originally called S&W to repair my refrigerator. I had called 10 places prior to this that would not make an appointment for me because of the brand and I had not purchased the appliances at their store. Shaban came to my home and repaired the refrigerator. He was polite, informative, neat and took pride in his work. Recently, the hood over my stove may have surged and would not work. Shaban came around my work schedule (which is uncommon)and worked on the hood which took him no time. I requested that he take a look at my washer and dryer. I recently bought my home and didn't realize that there was 10 years of lint built up in my dryer and exhaust. Shaban took extra time and made sure that everything was complete. He made a new connection from the washer to the exhaust and taught me how to clean it in 6 months. He then did a diagnosis on my washer. He took time to speak to me after the work was done and explain everything thoroughly to me. Shaban deserves 5 stars! He is great at what he does and I would recommend him to anyone I know who needs work done to their appliances. read more

My husband researched the crap out of what model of washer/dryer to buy (went with LG), then where to get it, pricing out Lowes, Sears, Home Depot, RI locals, EVERYBODY. Unfortunately my experience was not pleasant. I purchased a Dishwasher in September 2020. I was told due to manufacturer delays it would be several months before the item would be available. Fast forward to March 2021. I visited the store and basically told the sales rep that I was going to cancel the order. I was asked to wait a little while longer. Sure enough, a week later I received the call that the unit had arrived. Hmm...a little suspicious. Anyway, I made the appointment for delivery. The item was delivered by two people. They were in and out of my house so fast there's was no time to ask questions. I had my contractor install the unit and upon installing it was discovered the installation brackets were not included, which, according to the manual they were suppose to be. I had to buy the brackets which cost $60. I called the store and was told the brackets should have been included. I was offered no refund/credit or apology. I ran the unit for the first time and my kitchen floor was flooded with water. Only to discover there was a hole in the drain hose! Once again I called the store. At first they started saying they were going to charge me for a new hose. I shut that down really quick. They ordered the hose, which they said had to come from the manufacturer. (I was told by several appliance professionals that the hoses are pretty standard). Anyway, this took another 5 weeks! Finally the hose came in. The repair man was very efficient and professional. He told me he actually had to reorder the hose because the service department ordered the wrong one. I guess to wrap things up my biggest disappointment was that S&W offered little concern for all my issues, they never apologized and never even thought about offering any amount of credit. I was going to purchase a refrigerator from them but I canceled that order right away. Buyer beware. There are too many appliance stores out there. You're much better off at Lowes for sure. read more

I was looking to purchase a stackable washer/dryer; so I started to search online. S&W appliance has a great website that allowed me to do some comparison shopping. They were the best priced so I went into the show room. I spoke with Derek who helped me with measurements of the washer/dryer and the space I had available. He gave me specific measurements printed before I left so I could work on preparing my space. I placed my order over the phone and the new washer/dryer was installed within 3days of purchasing. Unfortunately there was a issue with install and the machine was not working properly. I spoke with sales rep Joe, he was attentive and arranged for service the next day. The service technician Alex, came out the next day which was a Saturday. Alex was courteous by calling to keep me informed of his schedule/arrival time. He was thoughtful to keep my home clean by using drop cloths and was knowledgeable about the machines. Unable to repair the washer, a brand new replacement was ordered on Sunday by the owner Mark and installed on Monday, which was a holiday. I was very impressed with this entire team! I cannot say enough good things about them. The prices were very competitive. They were accommodating with the delivery date as we needed several months before delivery. We got zero interest financing. They handled all the rebates for us. And we had a few warranty claims that they also handled for us. No issues having the repair service come to Boston. This has been the best experience we have had with a business, and we can't imagine having similar attention and service at a big box store. BEWARE- Very disappointed in S&W Appliances' lack of customer satisfaction, and extremely dissatisfied with S&W Appliance Repair. No issues with S&W regarding the 12+ appliances purchased over the years, but the 1st time they were called upon to repair 1 major non-functional appliance (less than 2 years old), they failed miserably. S&W Repair was never able to figure out what was wrong, despite 5 home service calls over 5+ months, and multiple contacts with the mfg. for assistance. Having paid labor charges twice to replace major parts provided free by the mfg. that didn't fix the unit, they then suggested a 3rd repair that "might" fix the problem. This would be more free parts + an additional $1,200-$1,500 service/labor charge to me, with no guarantee of actually fixing the unit -which is ridiculous. As I turned this "might fix" down, their final word was I would have to directly contact the mfg. myself to resolve the repair issue, as there was nothing more they could do. I finally got the mfg. to provide me with a new unit free of charge, but they would only ship it directly to the dealer. Now S&W Repair expected me to pay an additional $250+ to "install" it! Since I had already paid twice for "service" that hadn't fixed the original broken unit, I tried to reason with the service mgr. regarding the additional charge. The delivery & connection of the new unit was the final component of the initial "repair" I already paid for twice! It's unreasonable for S&W Repair to expect repeated payment for repair service that doesn't actually result in a repaired unit! The service mgr. didn't want to hear this and actually hung up on me mid-sentence while I was speaking ... so rude! The service department never contacted me back, and I had to get another contractor to finish the job. read more

I had a very positive experience here. They were easy to deal with when I ordered my washer/dryer. It arrived quickly. They told me about a sizable manufacturer's rebate I had not known about and which another appliance store had not told me about. They helped me with the paperwork to get the rebate. With the rebate, the washer/dryer was considerably cheaper than had I bought it at another local store. I got my washer/dryer delivered right when the COVID-19 crisis was starting to get really bad, and the delivery people were very kind and respectful when I asked them to wash their hands before entering my apartment. I bought a fridge from them about a year and a half ago and have had nothing but problems with it since. The gasket around the freezer door was not sitting flush to the door so the items in the freezer were not freezing. S&w just kept referring me to other companies for repairs. After 7, literally 7, repair visits that have still not fixed the problem you would think S&w would realize that they sold a piece of junk and try to help resolve but whenever I call there they cannot be bothered. I looked for several days for a small chest freezer. S&W didn't have any left but took my name on Friday, March 20, 2020. The next Monday they called to say they had one. I bought it and, because I'm 65 and the store doesn't deliver, I had a friend pick it up. When I asked, the store was very reassuring that they were disinfecting their store and wearing gloves.
