8/4/22 - I am revising my review - Wickford did step up and return part of this charge, as far as I'm concerned it should have been done before I did a poor Yelp review. I think Wickford has good prices for their appliances and good delivery, they just need to get their customer service department to a place that we as a consumer does not to have to resort to poor review. Will I go to Wickford again, Of Course, because they do have a good representation of appliances. And I want to thank the manager for finally looking into this matter, it would have been better if you would have answered my husband's phone calls instead, but I give you credit for responding to my review. (Old Review) I am extremely disappointed with Wickford's customer service. We bought a refrigerator from them, the delivery went fine, but we were charged $139.99 for installation. The installer came took off a plastic piece and never installed anything. We understand they have to pay the person to come, but we feel over charged for this because they never replace any of the water piping for the new refrigerator. When we called for a partial they said they would call us back - we waited - we had to call them twice before we received an answer. Beyond frustrating - they will not service ANYONE new and aren't helpful at all. Don't even bother answering the phone anymore.

Update #2 - after only two months, our Electrolux dryer is not running correctly. My husband called the service department and finally got a hold of somebody on Thursday, May 30. They are very busy, so they will send somebody out on June 17! This is an important lesson for me. When I do my researchon appliances, I will include customer service of the place we are buying it from as part of my criteria. read more

Bought a new refrigerator approximately three weeks ago the delivery people told me it could not be leveled. I called customer service who sent somebody out and said yes we need to get some new parts. I was told that the parts are back order three days later the parts are in and now I have to wait until November 27 to have them installed, I'm also still waiting for a phone call from their installer to put in my new gas stovetop hooked up. I've contacted the gentleman twice. I have yet to hear back. I had to reschedule twice due to a death . That should not make a difference Another example of take the money and run. I will not not buy another appliance from this company. read more

I recently updated our kitchen and purchased my appliances at Wickford Appliance in Cranston. I had no issues whatsoever with the Sales staff...very professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. I purchased a range, dishwasher, refrigerator, and microwave. I had all items (except microwave) delivered within days of purchase. The microwave was on 'backorder' and didn't have a date assigned. The Salesman assured me that they have been coming in regularly and that I was ~100 on the list. After waiting A MONTH, Wickford Appliance called to let me know that my microwave was in. I wanted to schedule installation and asked if they would consider compensating me on the installation since the item took an entire month to arrive. After speaking with the 'manager', I was told that "Wickford Appliance won't adjust installation charges under any circumstance". Well, that's not what I consider good Customer Service! I caution everyone to shop elsewhere for appliances...Wickford Appliance is certainly more interested in THE MONEY than standing by their customers. I am no longer a 'customer' of Wickford Appliance and will do my best to discourage my friends/family from making the poor choice that I made. read more

Our washer died and our dryer was giving us some trouble, so after lots of research, I went to several stores to check out the options and the inventory. After a few stops, I walked into Wickford Appliance in Cranston to check out their washer / dryer options. I had talked on the phone with Willy to ask a few questions, so when I got to the store, I asked for Willy. He was friendly, professional and very willing to work with my requirements and needs. I brought prices from other stores on the same models I was looking at.....and he did his best to match the price. He told me about the features of the appliances and also printed relevant information on the washer and dryer for me to take him. He did a great job getting me quick delivery and his customer service was A+. Highly recommended. read more

The jury is still out- but not impressed with my experience to date. I ordered a dishwasher over the summer and was told it would be in at the end of September. The salesperson called me mid to late to September to tell me it was still on track. Since then, no one from the store has called. I've called and received three different updates. The first said it was due in on 10/13. A week ago I was told it was "on the truck". Today I was told it's expected in on 10/26. I'm not so bothered by the delays because I know there are supply chain issues. But I'd like occasional updates without having to chase it down myself. I've had better service from big box stores. read more

Horrible customer service. I bought all new kitchen appliances with extended warranties. I spent $9K. The Boshe frig ice maker never worked. They made me wait almost four months before they replaced the damaged frig, and they only replaced when I said I was reporting them to the AG. They came back four times, replacing everything once or twice with me having to take time out of work each time. They give you a 5 hour window and are expected to wait around all day. Now, my new GE range (3 months old) is completely not working. When I called to report the F350 error code they made the app two weeks out. My new range that I paid $1900 is completely inoperable. On my scheduled appointment date they called to tell me their repair guy called out sick and then they made the appointment 3 weeks out. By the time they come, I will be without an oven for 5 weeks and it's brand new!!!!! They couldn't care less. So do yourself a favor and go to Home Depot or Lowes. I have extreme buyers remorse. read more

Spent 30k on appliances through Wickford. Each appliance developed issues within 2 yrs of purchase. Wickford charged crazy fees just to look at each. Very difficult regarding scheduling. They were not receptive towards times at all. Moral of the story: Buyer beware. Just because their expensive doesn't mean you get quality and Wickford does not stand behind them! read more

Very happy with their service department. The technician showed up within 1 day and correctly diagnosed the problem.

Bought a brand new Electrolux washing machine in December of 2018. Didn't get the extended warranty, because, shoot, it's a brand new washing machine! Normal usage for a family of four. Late April 2020, 16 months later, it's leaking water from the bottom. I call Wickford Appliance to repair, you know, keep it local, keep the money in RI during a pandemic. (I also just bought a new dishwasher from them 2 weeks ago, so two new major appliances over the last year +) They tell me it's going to be $100 "Dispatch Fee." What's that? I'm told that's the cost for someone to drive to Warwick to tell me that my washing machine is broken. Like I need to shell out $100 to have someone drive to Warwick from wherever they are coming from (NK? Cranston?) and tell me what I already know. and get this... that $100 -- does NOT even go towards a repair! $100 Dispatch fee. Get outta here with that! Especially with what's going on these days. What a shameful practice/policy. Gouging customers after selling them a lemon of an appliance. Dispatch fee. Give me a break. I would have paid it if it went towards a repair. But nope -- that's not what they do. Needless to say, after ranting all over social media, I've gotten some glowing recommendations for other local appliance shops/repairs. So we'll continue our repair search elsewhere... and won't step foot in another one of these stores until their policy towards loyal customers changes. $100 to drive to Warwick. Puh-leeze! My recommendation... look elsewhere for repairs because you're going to get hosed here. read more

I spoke to Karen to get 2 of my appliances fixed. She was lovely & they actually were able to call me back & come sooner than planned! Jim was the tech that came to fix my oven & refrigerator. He wore his mask the entire time (even when I was in a far away room & the oven was a million degrees), he was polite, super careful & knowledgeable! It turned out to be a silly simple fix for my fridge & nothing needed to be fixed, so you know they are honest! All over a great experience! I will call them again to service & buy my appliances for sure! read more

I've been a home owner for 35 years and have never had an appliance break or need service in all that time (except for a recall repair on an oven). Then I started shopping at Wickford Appliance and it's been nothing but defective products and missed service calls. I'm not talking about cheap stuff, how about: Bosch dishwasher, Speed Queen washing machine, how about a Frigidaire Gallery stove. Maybe I expect too much, but who Wickford thinks they are and who they really are, well, not the same. I guess my advice would be: buy your appliances anywhere because these people have shown me nothing. (I've spent over $6k here) read more

I'm fast approaching the finish line to a major renovation of my kitchen. Jim Auclair and his team of professionals at Wickford Appliance in Cranston, RI did a fantastic job in making my experience the best I can ask for! I purchased my appliances "five" months ago to take advantage of the best price I could find. Wickford held all of my appliances for five months until I was ready to take delivery of them at no extra charge. Moreover, the delivery team also did a fantastic job in showing up on at the appointed time, taking care in off loading all of my appliances, unboxing them and staging them in my new kitchen for my contractor to make the final installation. From the day I purchased my appliances to the day they were delivered, I can't say enough good things about what a great experience this was for me from start to finish. I highly recommend Wickford Appliance to anyone who has a need for top quality appliances and service. read more
