Came here with my wife last week because she got jealous that I went to the Little Falls one, glad to know I didn't need to drive a half hour! Food: we ordered the sesame tuna, buttermilk fried chicken, Korean BBQ, and Caribbean jerk tacos along with some elite, the tuna was amazing, Korean bbq + carribeab jerk great, and the chicken good, but felt heavy. The elote was great street corn. Service: one gentleman helped us out at the front, he seemed hectic as he was the only one I saw all evening. Ambiance; I like the location, the feel, and use of space.

Here's the deal: I got 3 tacos. jerk Caribbean Chicken Taco great flavor! Definitely worth it The Steakhouse Taco! Amazing combo of potato onion and blu cheese! Definitely a good choice Buttermilk Fried Chicken Taco. This one was "ok" the chicken was really dry the sauces helped quite a bit These 3 and bottle of water $20.00 I was definitely full! I'd come back and try other items next time Place was clean and ordering very easy

Tasty gourmet street tacos that are worth a try! Visited during restaurant week and loved their "taco boxes" that showcased some of their popular tacos. Unfortunately I can't remember what I got but I loved all 3 of the tacos. All were very tasty and loaded up! They charge per taco which average about $5.50 each, a bit pricey but once again, I think it's worth a try! Good snack if you're in the area! May not get full from 3 tacos. I was full but I'm also petite, lol.

Really delicious signature tacos at Taco Affair! We ordered the buttermilk fried chicken, shrimp po boy, Caribbean jerk and then Al pastor tacos. Each one of them were so unique in flavor. Each taco was stuffed and it was filling!! We also ordered the yuca fries and churros which were also out of this world! Definitely going to come back and try out their other tacos.

I'm thrilled to have this tasty, original, casual restaurant in downtown Denville! While A Taco Affair does serve a traditional ground beef taco, it's the fun, multi-cuisine menu that pulls me in. On my first visit to the Denville location, I opted for the beef brisket taco, the quinoa bean taco, and the yuca fries. Stunningly, all of them were tasty. A sweet barbecue sauce carried through the brisket, and the crispy, yet not oily red onions added crunch and texture. It had a good salt level without being salty. The quinoa bean fritter is an excellent vegan option - it was crispy and hot, while a tart avocado created balance. They also have a Korean BBQ taco, a fried chicken taco, and a bunch of other choices that I'm eager to sample. The yuca fries were probably the weak point of the meal. They smelled fried. But the interior was flavorful, and the Parmesan also brought salt and texture to each bite. There is a 4% credit card surcharge so bring cash.

I wanted to grab a quick lunch before heading over to a friend's house and was craving tacos, so I hit up A Taco Affair. The server was super sweet and showed me the regular menu as well as the specials. I ended up getting a Caribbean jerk chicken taco and the brisket taco. If you're looking for a great variety of unique tacos, give this place a try.

Me and A Taco Affair we got a thing going on, and I'm pretty sure that this is the start of a beeautiful relationship baby. First time in here and I can already feel the connection starting to pull us closer together through what else but the pure and innocent Love of Tacos. And these aren't just any Tacos that this spot is putting together, these are some one-of-a kind masterpieces of hand held amazingly delicious food induced euphoria!!  YEEAAH!!     Is it getting hot in here or what? Anyway all you gotta do is take one look at their menu to know that this place Has Got IT Goin' On. And since this was my very first time, I wanted it to be Extra Special so I went with two extremely different and very unique choices with; the Korean BBQ Taco, and the Steakhouse Taco. I Gotta say that both were consistently delicious throughout each and every tremendously tasty bite and the quality of ingredients that go into this Amazing Food speaks VOLUMES and will leave you wanting to try so much more off this Outstanding Menu. You can bet I'm ALL IN with A Taco Affair!! "it's too late to turn back now"  And That's the Name of That Tune.. Come And Get Your Munch On!!

Denville has become foodie heaven with every cuisine covered (almost all) by exciting, well run kitchens. Taco Affair is the third Mexican food place in town and their focus, hence the name, is on top quality tacos. I did a take out of three from the menu and each was full of flavor and bursting with the taste of fresh ingredients. My wife is a vegetarian but she will eat shrimp and grabbed the Po boy shrimp taco. We like it so much, on the second visit I ordered three of them and we split them over lunch. It's great to have another well run eatery in town and I wish A Taco Affair the best of luck. The serve my wife's favorite taco so I'm sure to be a regular. Give them a try, you'll thank me later.

My friend and I stumbled upon this restaurant when we were hanging out in downtown Denville. Our goal was cheap eats. I got one regular taco and one specialty one with crumbled feta cheese on it. Also got the churros with salted caramel sauce on the side. Overall, the service was friendly, the tacos were good albeit kinda small and it was very affordable. I did leave still feeling a bit hungry. The tacos are on the small side but they pack a lot of flavor. Recommend but not the best I have ever had.

First time trying this place and loved it! Tacos are unique and stuffed to the rim. The person making the tacos was the nicest person! Give this place a try. You won't be disappointed.

Cold, antiseptic atmosphere. Catering to the snob appeal crowd. Nothing warm and homie, like you expect from a Mexican restaurant.

What matters is the food, and the food in El Mejicano is authentically superb. On Monday 11/10/25 I had lunch at El Mejicano, and I was deeply impressed by its food. Authentic? I've been to Mexico four times, each time to a different state, and each state has its own food. Authenticity comes from the person who cooks the food, and the food here is fantastic. I was served chips and salsa, which were quite good: the chips thick, the salsa a bit spicy and flavorful. I've had chips and salsa many other times, and the ones here were quite good. Then I ordered pozole. I had pozole in Mexico twice, once in Jalisco, once in Oaxaca: those two were different from one another (authentic?) Very good, that they were. This pozole in El Mejicano was delicious, pork in a red sauce, chockfull of hominy and pork pieces, with complex flavors. Not spicy, but genuinely tasteful. I couldn't finish it (and had it for lunch the next day). Adding to my delight, my lunch included two tostadas; I added bits of salsa because that's how I like them. Service was attentive without being overbearing. The ambiance was delightful: a modern eclectic soundtrack added a layer of pleasure. El Mejicano is a gem, and I intend to eat there again. I highly recommend it.
