The food and margaritas at Chicos never disappoint. The salsa is fantastic, as is the Birria quesadilla.

Recently visited Chico's for dinner for the first time and overall had a really good experience. We decided to sit outside, and the host was super friendly and welcoming right from the start. The place had a fun, upbeat vibe and a solid crowd. The music was a little loud, but honestly, it just made me feel like my fajitas were headlining a concert. Our waitress seemed a bit overwhelmed and missed a couple things here and there, but the food came through in the clutch. We started with the garlic butter shrimp appetizer. Flavor was great, although the shrimp themselves must've skipped leg day because they were smaller than expected. My girlfriend ordered the cheese quesadilla -- simple order, but it came out looking like it belonged in a food photoshoot. I got the combo fajitas, which came with enough rice and beans to feed a small village. I would've liked a little more steak and shrimp in the mix, but the flavor was really good. Only other minor complaint: the outdoor chairs could definitely use cushions. About halfway through dinner I started shifting around like I was doing yoga poses. Overall though, really enjoyed the experience and we'll definitely be back. read more

It was such a nice evening that there was a 45 minute wait to sit at the outdoor patio, but the inside space is so welcoming and fun! The chips and salsa had a little kick and the guac was fresh and delicious. I ordered the chicken flautas which came w/ well-seasoned rice and beans. My husband ordered the soft shell tacos. He had chicharon, chicken, beef and ground beef. All were yummy but the ground beef was seasoned so well it was his favorite. My goddaughter ordered the cheese quesadilla from the kids menu and a side of refried beans and rice. I also got the coco-loco frozen margarita. Such a cool glass and delish drink. read more

As u enter, you can feel the vibe, the Mexican vibe. They have these cute little photo booths where you can pose. The sitting arrangements are cute. The food was amazing and so was the service. As we were seated, we were served the nachos and salsa. We ordered their nachos and fresh guacamole , They din take a lot of time to serve. We were there for a weekday lunch. Chico's is consistently solid. During my last visit I ordered skirt steak tacos and these were unreal good. The order comes with three overstuffed tacos and the skirt steak was flavorful and cooked to perfection. The guac is also A+ and comes with the best chips. My 1.5 year old is obsessed with guacamole and she was in heaven. And my 3 year old loves their rice. The menu is huge with all of the Mexican restaurant classics. The kids menu is fairly priced and has good options too. Love that they have a full bar and my mojito was delicious. The space is beautifully decorated with a great vibe, service is really good, food is high quality and it's very kid friendly. What more could you want? read more

Whilst most praises I heard about this places were all for their Margarita's,we only had lunch-it did not disappont though. Love that Chico's has a lovely secluded outdoor patio,which doesn't seem to be a luxury other neighboring cafes in this area would have (my favorite sushi place ever right next door - Miga Sushi - among them...no patio). Whilst the service on a Sunday lunchtime seemeed fairly slow,all the staff we interacted with were super friendly. Food was great too-pictures speak better than words. Chimichanga's portion was so big I had to take half of it home to finish later. Overall,thumbs up! read more

We came here as a group (4 adults + 3 kids) to grab a late lunch/early dinner. We immediately got the chips and salsa which were amazing. The guacamole was delicious and fresh. For drinks, I ordered the Chipotle Mango Margarita which came with a fresh mango slice covered in tajin - absolute perfect blend of sweet and spicy. For food, I ordered a steak burrito with a salad however when I cut into it, it was chicken. Also we ordered a mango Jarritos and got a pineapple one. My husband ordered a magarita with 2 flavors but the server never asked what flavors he wanted and just handed him one. Food was good but a lot of mix-ups. It wasnt even that busy! read more

Just had a great dinner at Chico's tonight, really cool place. Food: ordered queso fundido for appetizer which was really good, a little spicy which was even better. For dinner, my wife got a Paloma and their garlic shrimp which was cooked in tequila and white wine, very light. I had a burrito with verde salsa which was pretty solid. Aesthetic: as you walk in, the police is nicely accented by a few neon signs, a bar off to the left, and family sitting on the right. The flow of this place is really nice, and accented by multiple tequila bottles, and Mexican inspired art. Service: our waitress was very very nice, and the food was brought out timely, but not too quick, which made me really like the pacing. read more

This place was awesome. Had my daughter's 25th birthday here on Friday night. They were able to fit 35 plus people in a private area and the food and staff were amazing. Great service. I've gone to this place a few times. Mediocre food, I always want to like it and leave happy. But I leave always disappointed about something. Im Mexican so none of the salsas are ever spicy. I had the enchilada with the red sauce, wasn't really red more like brown and it tasted like mole. Not exactly what I wanted to eat at that moment and I just ate the inside of the enchilada. The drinks are really good tho! I give them that. Might be the reason why I give the place a chance every time. Service is pretty decent and the place is cute inside. read more

Imo it is hard to find a good Mexican restaurant in this area. We chose this place based upon Yelp reviews and I am glad we did! Fun atmosphere - always great service, prices are on par with other restaurants and portions are generous. My son - a very picky eater - just recently got the NY strip fajitas and wow. He loved it so much. A thick, whole NY strip steak on top of fajita veggies. It came with some kind of sauce that he did not like and scraped off (he hates sauces) but it looked delish. I had regular steak fajitas which were very good but needed salt. They come with corn tortillas - I prefer flour but they were ok. We have had the appetizer sampler which is amazing and huge. Nachos were also delicious and large portion. My husband always gets the street tacos - a nice combo of street tacos but doesn't come with sides which is a misstep in my opinion. I have had the chicken taquitos which were great and they have a delicious margarita flight. Complimentary chips and salsa are really good and their queso dip is good. It is now our go-to Mexican restaurant even though it's not too close to us. Very enjoyable. read more

One of the worst experiences in recent memory. It was warm out and hot inside. The place was empty but we wanted to avoid eating outside. The floor was sticky...are you kidding me? I had a burrito - ate half since the meat was dried out and it was over-salted. Our drinks took forever to come...and they brought out the wrong one for me...a freaking margarita...how could you mess it up... The last straw was they tried to add a misc charge amongst the middle of the bill for a few dollars...and no this wasn't for using a cc which was another added charge....we said something since our experience was terrible and they gave us the misc charge back in cash...shady! Good cheap food at lunch, a generous enchilada platter is $9 and three street tacos loaded with meat are also $9. The chips & salsa are yummy, the first basket is free (if small), refills for $2. Full bar, a house margarita is just $9. Draft beers are US and Mexican macro brews, no printed list that I could find tho. You can get the usual options: burritos, chimichangas, enchiladas, fajitas, quesadillas and tacos. The appetizer menu lists a couple of tamales too. Also offers a big selection of steaks and ribs. But no mole sauce, no chiles rellenos, huevos rancheros are only served during Sunday brunch, and unlike so many Mex places in the U.S., Chico doesn't offer combination plates. Vegetarian rating: solid 3 stars, veggie burritos and others. Pay attention to the printed receipt which (unusually) shows a cash price and a credit price, at least they're up front about the additional charge for plastic. read more

A solid 3.5 for me. First what I liked, on a busy Saturday we only waited ten minutes for a table. Service was prompt and friendly and they bring the food out fast. The margaritas list is extensive and they have frozen ones (strong too), I recommend the summer margarita it was excellent. The appetizer sampler is huge, I loved the wings! The fresh coijta and crema sauce is delicious. I didn't love my entree. I had the Mari y Tierra The shrimp were tasty but everything including the rice was loaded in salt (I'm still gulping water and the edges of my lips are still stinging). The steak was undercooked and flavorless besides salt salt and more salt. The chicken had chimchurri sauce, which was not stated in the menu description,on it which I loathe. My husband like his chimichanga, the portion was huge for the price. I would return but strictly for drinks and appetizers. read more

This spot is super delicious and I love the atmosphere! As soon as we sat down they brought us the most delicious warm chips and salsa! I couldn't stop eating them. I went for the Sangria Margarita for my drink, which was sweet and yummy. We were a big group of people so we decided to order three appetizers- the nachos, queso with chorizo, and the sampler! Everything I tried was so fresh and tasty. The queso was amaaaaazing with the spicy chorizo mixed in! For dinner I ordered the shrimp fajitas - also super delicious! Came here for dinner last night. We sat outdoors... cause Covid obviously. Be prepared for mosquitoes! Chico suave margarita- 10/10z frozen mango and blue curaçao which combined was delicious! Passion fruit sangria- 6.5/10. A lot of passion fruit, very little white wine. Tasted like juice so at least it was yummy still. Fried calamari- always a great choice Buffalo wings- standard Jumbo shrimp- my favorite app we ordered. Good portion, amazing flavor. Steak chimichanga- SMOTHERED in cheese (if you like/hate that) and stuffed with steak rice beans. Good flavor, large portion... Also comes with extra sides of Mexican yellow rice and a choice of black or refried beans with guac sour cream and salsa. Tacos al pastor- favorite thing we ordered!! Little sweet and spicy with the pineapple heat, that was great. Also comes with rice and beans. Atmosphere? Started off well with the chips and 'salsa'. Ordered the drinks and meal. Never received a drink and a meal at our table. I got the wrong meal and it was corrected. Took about half an hour to get the 'missing' meal. By then the rest of us were already done with our meals. My 'carne' was tough. First time in my laugh I have not finished my meal. Got the bill and they had charged us for the drink that we did not receive. And of course there is that three plus percent fee that goes along nowadays. I guess we are expected to pay for bad service and mediocre food. I for one will be her go to this place. So unfortunately I've never eaten at this restaurant pre-Covid. I've done take out twice and both times the food has been phenomenal. Tonight I did the chicken quesadillas which were awesome and the platanos which were so delicious! Very reasonably priced and you get a lot of food! Right before leaving I asked the bartender if I could do a margarita to go and once I was home I poured it over right and I'm pretty happy.
