Terrible experience. I wanted two simple things done to a jacket. Narrow the sleeves, and bring in the waist. The first, she flatly refused. What??? Fine, I said. Will you bring in the waist? Sure. Two weeks later, I brought it home and realized, SHE DIDN'T TAILOR ANYTHING. She literally moved the top button over half an inch. I could have done that myself! I paid them $40 for NOTHING. This tailor shop was the best I ever tried. The shop was clean and laid up the floor plan as friendly. There were two fitting rooms and the room was big enough to hang my purse and changing my clothes. The husband and the wife work together, the wife measured my pants fixed my pants with pins. There were five or six different size of the high heels that I could make sure what my pants length should be. After I tried my new pants and she marked the length on the pants with the chalk. And she passed the pants to her husband. He did very quickly and neat to saw my pants. The price was very reasonable too. I will definitely use this tailor to fix my other clothes as well. read more

I was so impressed with this business today!! The owner was so kind and patient with me, and knowledgable about the style of all of my clothes. I am petite and have to get many clothes tailored to fit correctly, so I brought in a work skirt and some shirts. She is very outgoing and made me feel so comfortable, and knew exactly what to do to make my clothes fit just right and work together. She even told me how to care for the clothes after and recommended a specific dry cleaners that would correctly clean my skirts for me so they wouldn't shrink! She did an amazing job tailoring a very structured/ complex dress from a size 8 down to a size 2. The dress was completed earlier than I asked for it and she asked a reasonable price given the amount of work. I have a feeling that she's on the higher price range for simpler projects, based on what I heard from other customers in the store- but she's great for more difficult items or projects such as bridesmaid, prom, or wedding dresses. read more

Not cheap, but done right. I have had jackets taken in a full size and they look like new. The quality of the work is unsurpassed. Time is taken to measure *properly* what needs to be done for alterations. After purchasing a suit, the in-house tailor measured one arm and said "usually making each sleeve the same length is about right." My arms (and most people's) are not the same length, and "about right" is not "right." A+ does NOT cut corners like that. Each alteration is measured and pinned so you can see how it will look *before* paying to get it done. If it will look bad, the tailor will tell you; she has steady business and wants to do it right rather than just do more. A+ is likely to be a little more expensive than the seamstress at the local dry cleaner, but its worth it. Even simple pant hems are superior. With non-cuffed bottoms, not only can you not see the stitching on the outside, but also the stitching on the inside *looks* professionally done and of high quality. I had A+ hem the new tux pants that I bought; the satin stripe was taken apart and individually stitched on the inside to hold it in place in the hem. I looked at the old pants (tailored elsewhere) and it looked like a person in a hurry had just zipped over the whole thing hastily with a sewing machine. Turn around time is flexible, though there is usually a queue. Don't wait until the last minute. read more

I took a dress to A+ Tailor in Denton to get hemmed. I tried it on there to show the lady I wanted to get it hemmed to right above my knee (no higher). Then she goes on a rant about how American women are not as thin as Asian women and how we should wear our dresses longer to hide ourselves. She tried to get me to agree to get it hemmed below my knees and I said no. I thought the length was perfect barely above my knees. It wasn't too long that way and definitely not short at all. It's not like this was a skanky club dress... it was a fancy dress for a wedding. Ok.. Whoa... First of all, I am a size 6 and healthy... but I don't care if I was 300 lbs and walked in there to get a dress hemmed. I should be able to get it hemmed where I want it without being called fat. No one should have to put up with that... no matter your shape, size, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, age... etc. No company or person should treat you the way that she treated me. I will NEVER go to her again, and on top of that, I will make sure every single one of my friends and family members know not to go to her. You work in a service industry, start treating people with respect. read more
