Seem like really nice people. And based off others reviews - this may just be a one off experience. But I used those same reviews to source this business and feel like I would be remiss if I didnt mention my experience. I dropped off 4 suit jackets and 1 pair of jeans for alterations. The jackets were all getting sleeves shortened - the jeans hemmed. I know that suit jackets can be tricky, so I took the time to understand how they would handle things like buttons and the like. When I picked up - one jacket had been ruined (pictured) and none of the others had any of the detail mentioned. Just chopped off and hemmed up. The one that is ruined looks like something from Frankenstein. To their credit - they refunded the cost of the jacket and alteration immediately, but Im still out a jacket that cant be replaced (no longer available). Like I said, nice people and handled things immediately- but you have to have trust in your relationship with your tailor - and there is just no way I would trust them with something that couldnt be replaced. read more

I needed tailoring for one of my button shirt. They did a great job with a fast return date. I would definitely recommend their services.

Would not recommend this place. I had to come back 4 times in order for my mother of the bride dress to be fixed. Four times! They called us at 5:30p and told us we needed to pick up the dress by 6:00pm that day because they were going out of the country the next day. I asked if this was a last-minute trip, and they said no. So if they knew they were going out of the country, why didn't they let us know beforehand? Then, we made an appt to pick the dress up once they got back. We show up for the appt, and they haven't touched the dress. Again, this appt was planned, so why not let us know it wouldn't be ready before we went all the way there. They did not apologize; rather, they gave us excuses, like that they were out of the country. But they knew they would be when they set the appt. With an already busy time, this added layer of chaos really stretched me thin. When we paid them to the job, we expected it right the first time. And if not the first time, then at least be apologetic and make it right when you say you're going to. The final product ended up being fine, but save yourself a headache and take your business somewhere else. read more

We took my Carhart jacket to Amy for a zipper repair. We first diagnosed the repair option at a whole zipper replacement to the tune of $45. They later determined the only repair needed was the replacement of the gathering mechanism. It was now $10. The kudos goes to them in that they chose a lesser cost method and achieved the same result (fixed zipper)!! Well Done!!! We'll be bring all our clothing fixes and adjustments to Amy! read more

Don't trust your precious garments to this tailor. I just left and I'm highly disappointed at not only the fact that the stitching on the hem is less than perfect but she also tried to hike up the price at the end telling me it was 124+ tax when clearly on the front of the sales slip the tax had been tabulated. She told me that she wouldn't work with me again because I was too picky! WOW I'm sorry that you feel as a customer we don't have the right to want our dresses to look exactly how we feel it should and as perfect and cohesive as the old stitching looks. I asked on a Facebook page in my community for a recommendation and received this name. I called and set up a time I could go in and be measured so my formal gown could be hemmed and also thee shoulders and waist be taken up a bit. They were timely and very friendly. They finished everyone in my family. She wrote up the ticket and I paid and we set up a date for final fitting. It was about 2 weeks so not a long wait. Everything was perfect. Great experience and I would recommend this place for any alterations. I will go back the next time I need any alterations. read more

I would like to leave a review, but my curtains aren't ready. The pickup date was yesterday. When I went to pick them up just now they didn't have a tag on them, or know where my brand new pottery barn curtains were. Supposedly they will be ready in tonight. I was able to pick up my curtains- 2 days after promised. She charged me to move the loops the curtains hang on and moved them incorrectly. They hang lopsided. They were also returned with various string, felt and her dog that is in the shops hair on them. Not ironed either. I would not recommend this tailor. read more

Amy is amazing!! A miracle worker!! Last weekend, my daughter was in a wedding. The dress did not look great on her because it was a bit big. I decided to try to press down a part of the bodice that was not laying well. My iron, which normally doesn't get hot enough to get wrinkles out, melted the bodice on the right side!!! I freaked! My daughter was at the rehearsal, and it was 3:45. I frantically went from tailor to tailor trying to find someone who could help. Each said, "no" . that it was too risky without my daughter to try it on. When I met Amy, she said much the same. I called my daughter to see if she could come, and she could not make it in time. It was already 4:00. She was so precious and more worried about me than the dress, and I hung up in tears, fully aware that in spite of the fact that my daughter was not furious with me, I was devastated. Amy was so kind. She looked at the dress one more time, and said that since it was on the shoulderless side she might be able to take it in enough to hide most of it. She told me to be back before 5:00. I could not believe it!! It was way beyond my expectation. She not only hid almost all of the melted material, the inner stitching looked like the dress had never been altered and the lining laid perfectly. Amy will forever be my tailor! Amy is literally everything that I didn't realize I had been looking for. Which totally sounds crazy but I'm 4'8" and NOTHING was made to fit me. Nothing. But Amy now alters everything I wear (including t-shirts, coats, sweaters, pants, etc.) and makes it look like clothes were actually made for my body type. I took in 3 maxi dresses to be hemmed on Monday August 3rd for a family photo at the beach. She pinned the hems on my daughter in laws. We specifically said we need them by Thursday since we were leaving to go out of town the following day. I went to pick them up on Thursday at 11:00 and there were not even started. She said she would have them done before the end of the day. I went back at 5:00 and picked up the dresses and paid the bill. When my daughter in laws put the dresses on for the photo shoot, they were not hemmed. I was so disappointed. The dresses were all too long in the photos. I went back to the shop when we got back in town and she insisted they were hemmed. She did give me a refund but I was disappointed with the service. read more
