The first store I went to was in Plano (CompuSew). My experience there was horrible (see my Yelp review). My next stop was Denton and the Denton Sewing Center. The saleswoman (Andrea) could not have been more helpful. She was very knowledgeable and showed me three different brands of machines that are designed for quilters. She compared features, demonstrated the ways things worked and then let me sew. Bottom line: I bought a Janome machine. I can't recommend these folks enough.
