I called several companies about my broken AC but the A-Team were the only ones to respond quickly. They were able to come same day and diagnose and fix the issue. It cost $315 but I would consider that reasonable for an emergency AC repair during peak season (85 degrees out today!). read more

I'm going to say it: I truly wish I could assign 0 stars. Where did these 5 star reviewers come from??? I used the Ypsi branch of ATeam, unfortunately. The rude gentleman (don't know his name) who showed up at our house came in last December with NO MASK, no offer of a mask. Ummm, professionals wear booties to protect customers from mud, how about protecting my family (including children at home) from a pandemic that could kill them? We were experiencing weird and inconsistent airflow; this and a general concern over potentially missed maintenance on our part motivated our call. We chose these guys because of the 3 positive reviews and they were the only ones who could come immediately for a non-emergency. Upon his maskless arrival, we were told gruffly by the ATeam employee that there were no "free estimates" and the fee just to show up (around $80, give or take) definitely would not be put toward any larger bill should we take them up on their suggestion/estimate for a solution - one that turned out to be completely false, by the way. When he went in our basement, he saw a switch that needed to be flipped from down to up and did that - that was $20-25. He also informed us, we now know wrongly, that (and I may be getting my terminology wrong here) the induction motor needed attention; their emailed estimate that arrived shortly after he left was about $500. Again, this is in addition to and separate from what he charged us to come and "diagnose." (Thank god I got a second opinion.) Our trusted FAMILY HEATING & COOLING who always attended to our needs in our previous home (from a different branch, the "Northern Oakland Cty" branch) luckily had an office near our new home in Ypsilanti. We called them in their Garden City branch and - after a huge/long waiting list (they are popular for a reason), our turn came up today. The masked gentleman from FAMILY HEATING & COOLING came in on time, was friendly and professional, showed us that there wasn't *anything* wrong with our vent flow or induction motor (perhaps incorrect term here...), and said that the estimate and diagnosis of A-Team was completely incorrect. Oh, and FAMILY HEATING & COOLING didn't charge us one penny - including for the show up visit in and of itself. Free, professional, honest, and saved us another useless $500 for an invented problem from ATeam. FAMILY HEATING & COOLILNG are honest, consistently. What happened today with the Garden City branch was completely typical of what happened repeatedly with the N. Oakland County Branch. Grateful to them and still angry at the dishonest person from A-Team who decided my family's/customers' health (and hospitals that are now at capacity) wasn't worth a mask. read more

Cannot Say enough about Vince and his team. I found him on yelp and took a chance based on his outstanding reviews and 24hr commitment to help customers. 1st he came out last year during an ice storm at 12:30am to help me get my furnace running. He'd been out for hours prior helping others! Got me running and followed up with me w/in a day or so to come out and give me a quote. He was very thorough and transparent. After also getting other quotes, I went with Vince without hesitation. I decided to do both Heat & Air. It's hard to explain, but you just know when you can trust someone and I felt that way with Him and his word. Install went great. He and his guys were super professional, respectful of my time and home. Been super happy since! The other day (about 1year after install) the AC unit kicked on and was making a funny noise. Took a video and texted to Vince. Within 30min Vince replies and agreed something did not sound right and said he'd get here as soon as he could. Unit was working so we did not consider it an emergency so we scheduled a date (Vince said to call him though if it got worse and he'd come right out). He made it out as scheduled and is taking care of this for me. Seems there was an issue with the motor...it's covered by the Mfg. warranty so he's getting a new motor and will install once it arrives. Since it's w/in 5yrs of install he's also standing by his labor assurance so I'm not out anything which makes me super happy. I will continue to use Vince for my heating and cooling needs and recommend him w/out hesitation. Vince told me he's been blessed with a good business and knows that good customer service, honesty, and integrity are what it takes to keep it going. I know I certainly appreciate it! I know he's helped out others in need who've been screwed over by other local companies trying to make a quick dollar. We just had a new furnace and central air installed by The A Team. I am more than happy with the whole installation. They were very courteous and efficient. And the price was the best! Vince, the owner has his sons working with him and one of them saw a door in my basement that was not attached and did not close properly. I heard a saw and went outside to see what he was doing. He fixed my door and shaved a little off the bottom so it could be used without scraping the carpet. You just don't find too many people who will do something like that just to serve. I am their customer for life and will be recommending them to anyone who wants great service at an affordable price. read more

These guys are crazy HVAC. They just helped me out fix a noisy ticking furnace at 1'am. They live up to their motto and are very honest.
