    Accepts credit cards

Yelp says accepts credit cards which was true in past visits but not anymore. Place would only accept Zelle or cash.

Great shop to go visit, they're quick & efficient. They sent the info off for me. They even found a fuse needed to be changed.

To avoid price conflict *MENTION ANY COUPON BEFORE SERVICE*…read more My family and I come here to get our smog check done for our car registration. Sam is quick and friendly. I paid $58 which includes the test and certificate. Last year they offered a $10 coupon. I missed this year's coupon of $8 off which expired 2/28/26. I swung by at noon today (Friday) there were 2 customers ahead of me. My car was serviced at 12:21pm and was done at 12:28pm. I paid cash as I believe there's a small fee if you pay with a card. There's a waiting area, but I don't know if there's a restroom. ( I didn't need to use it)

Walnut Smog Check needs to have clear coupon rules. Let me explain. I found this place on maps and…read moredecided to give them a call, no answer. When we arrived there, we didn't get a greeting in any way. We asked for a smog check and the guy (possibly the owner) stated that we will be next. While we were sitting around, I was browsing around yelp and noticed that this place offers a coupon discount on smog check. It states "must present coupon prior to service". When he pulled up with a paper for a signature, I mentioned this discount to him and he told me that I needed to show him that when I came in. It doesn't specifically state on the coupon that I needed to show the coupon when I come in. Plus, he didn't even start the service on my car yet. He was really rude about it after and told me he is losing money if he decided to give me the promotion and he can't just adjust the price after printing out the paper. There was also no apologies. If he wants to do business correctly, he needs to own what is said on the coupon and not just change it last minute. I just felt bad vibes throughout this experience and left with a sour taste in my mouth. I ended up paying almost $60 for this smog check which I could've done for cheaper at another place. The service was fast though. That was the only thing good about it. I will not be coming back to this establishment.

Brought my car in, went over some paperwork and was told I'd be contacted once the inspection was complete. Sure enough Matt called me to let me know there were some items found during inspection and which ones needed to be addressed right away. After agreeing to the updated quote they got to work. I came back to the shop prior to being told my car was ready, and I think there may have been a delay in getting parts needed (dropped the car off at 9am, wasn't done until 4pm). Other than that, the quoted price is what I paid, there wasn't any pushing to buy a service that wasn't needed. I will definitely be bringing my car back for the additional work needed.

I requested a quote through Yelp and my request was sent to multiple auto shops. I chose this…read morecompany based on location and called ahead to confirm they could do more than just read basic codes. I had already done my own diagnostics and knew the car was running rich. I had ruled out the upstream O2 sensor, catalytic converter (both new), MAP sensor, and fuel injectors. I explained all of this to Matt before bringing the car in. He assured me they could perform deeper diagnostics with their equipment. After dropping off the car, Matt called and told me they had "confirmed" exactly what I had already told them, and that the next step would be pulling spark plugs--for an additional fee. At that point, I decided to go elsewhere. What I don't understand is why I was still charged the full $85 diagnostic fee, plus a $4 hazardous materials fee and $3 shop supply fee. Plugging a car into a diagnostic scanner does not generate any hazardous waste--no fluids are drained, no chemicals are used, and no parts are replaced. There's nothing about a basic scan that would justify a hazardous materials charge. That kind of fee typically applies when disposing of things like oil, coolant, or other regulated waste, none of which occurred here. In the end, I paid $92, wasted time and gas, and learned nothing new. The most concerning part was Matt admitting he didn't even know spark plugs would need to be checked as part of further diagnosis.
