He told the other tech that we were ridiculous to watch him because he wasn't going to steal anything. Well, I never thought about that until he mentioned it. I honestly just wanted him to finish so that I can be on my way. I was staring at my car sitting in the stall not doing anything and wondered why I was still there. Another car that came in later was finished first. I told him that I heard and understood what he said. The price for the service was fair but I certainly didn't need the attitude even if it was a joke or not.

I swung by at noon today (Friday) there were 2 customers ahead of me. My car was serviced at 12:21pm and was done at 12:28pm. I paid cash as I believe there's a small fee if you pay with a card. While we were sitting around, I was browsing around yelp and noticed that this place offers a coupon discount on smog check. It states "must present coupon prior to service". When he pulled up with a paper for a signature, I mentioned this discount to him and he told me that I needed to show him that when I came in. It doesn't specifically state on the coupon that I needed to show the coupon when I come in. Plus, he didn't even start the service on my car yet. He was really rude about it after and told me he is losing money if he decided to give me the promotion and he can't just adjust the price after printing out the paper. There was also no apologies. If he wants to do business correctly, he needs to own what is said on the coupon and not just change it last minute. I just felt bad vibes throughout this experience and left with a sour taste in my mouth. I ended up paying almost $60 for this smog check which I could've done for cheaper at another place. The service was fast though. That was the only thing good about it. I will not be coming back to this establishment.

However, last week when I went to renew my registration, I realized I had to do a smog check in order to complete the process. W H A T!?!?! I panicked because I have never gotten a smog check before AND my registration was literally due in a days. I paid for the fees and went right on to Yelp to start my search. There were many places through out the SGV and OC around me, all had very reasonable prices. However, not all of them were opened on Sundays. I was already on my way to Rowland Heights to run some errands so I decided to stop by Smog Test Only Discount Center nearby just to see if they would accept walk ins. Thank Goodness they were opened until 2pm and only had 1 customer before me. The total time spent was approximately 30 minutes and total cost was $55 (accepts Cash, CC, Zelle). Maria helped me and she was SO nice! I am not sure if I may need another smog check anytime soon, but I do plan on referring friends and family here if they ever need one. Bonus: They offer hair cut services as well. Not sure if it is for me but I can totally see men getting a buzz cut here while they wait.
