I am new to the area and need to find a barber...tried a couple of places first but they were booked solid for over an hour. Came into this place and the guy there (who I come to find out is the owner) tells me the girl in the corner can take care of me. Nice enough girl... after talking to her for awhile, come to find out that she is not a barber. Didn't say anything... cut was average. Waited to see how it would turn out. Before I knew it she was done.... no straight razor to clean up the back of my neck. Before I came to Idaho I lived in the NYC area and was use to a little more when I got my hair cut (hot towel on your head, straight razor cleaning up your lines, even got a message machine rubbed on my back while the towel was on my head. I know I have to get use to the fact I ain't in NYC anymore but......see I always over tip my haircut guy. What ever the haircut is, I double it and the rest is their tip. I expect more for my money than what I got at this establishment. Maybe things would have been different if I had the owner cutting my hair, but I will continue the search for the right hair cutting place and will stay loyal once I have someone I like. Last guy I had for 15 years. If he would be sick or go on vacation I would wait for him. That's the loyalty you get when you give great hair cutting experience. read more

I was in town for my sister-in-law's wedding. So I was completely out of my element. I didn't think there was even a barber shop in Coeur d'Alene This place is conveniently located on a main road and visible. It's not very often that you get to have the owner line up your beard, but I did. I didn't have to say much to Hercules when I asked him to line up my beard and when all was said and done the finished product was excellent. Very personable human being and very professional If I'm ever in town Id go to a thin line again. read more

I wish i didn't have to leave even 1 star. I go to barbershops so a male barber will cut my hair. Why? Because they also have guys hair and have a better understanding as to how not to mess it up. I tried this place because they were highly recommended by a good friend of mine. I go in and woman instantly approached me and assured me she was a barber and very experienced. Red flag number 1) Woman. 2) Next she wasn't even going to touch my sideburns. I told her it was fine but she insisted. She checked 3 or 4 times that they were even. Once home i realized they were about 1 1/2 inches off. One is clearly above the ear and the other below the notch above the lobe. Idk if she crosseyed or what. 3) she didn't take anything off the top really. After asking twice that she take more off and not getting anywhere id figured maybe her extensive experience was creating a masterpiece. It wasn't. 4) The price was the same as the locker room with no free drink, no hot towel, no razor neck shave, and no washout afterwards. At best worth $6 but cost $17. I tried 3 times to call but no one answered. So i will just never go back. Back to Chris at the Locker Room to get the slop job i rcvd fixed for ANOTHER $17. Extremely dissatisfied with the poor quality and lack of style this establishment has. read more
