I'm not sure if it was the owner or an employee for some reason another employee wasnt allowed to give us his name. But our family member was in a horrible accident and we had the legal documentation to go this tow yard to retrieve our family members belongings out of the vehicle and this man not knowing the situation or what we are going thru was yelling on the phone about us being in the tow yard and trying to get what we could out of the car and made us all feel uncomfortable in this hard time we are going thru. Then did not have two words to say as we walked out. Extremely unprofessional and rude. I do not recommend this company to anyone. That man was horrible. White Male late 40s. This was the best towing experience I have ever had. I was rear ended and the car was un-drivable, Chris came to my aid, loaded the car up and took the long voyage to the Audi dealership in Long Beach.... 89 miles away... and then he waited while I was able to deal with insurance and then a rental so I wouldn't have been stranded. My car was unfairly towed from Feindly Village in Lancaster, Ca. I took a taxi from Lancaster to Palmdale, Ca. It was 4:59 pm. The man at the gate said that the business was closed, and the staff left already. Luckily, my taxi driver called them again, they came out, and I got my car. Who else is getting money from the unfair towing ??? If they towed 20 cars, they made $ 5600, if they towed 40 cars they took $$ 10, 200. read more

Even a 1 star is too high. AV towing truck kicked up a rock and cracked our windshield. Got pictures and truck information called AV Towing. The manager Craig of the Palmdale office said it was our problem and to turn it into our insurance. He was very rude and not helpful at all. Do not use. today was not a good experience with A V towing. I called AAA to ask for someone to bring me a battery, I checked, price and acceptance/method of payment, before I requested someone to come out. I was told twice by AAA that I would be able to use two separate cards to pay for the battery. I also check my Bank debit card/American Express card to ensure a smooth transaction. When A V towing arrived, they removed the battery, checked for any other problems and it was confirmed that my battery needed replacing. Technician (Joe) switched out OLD battery and replaced with NEW battery, all was going well until payment transaction...A V towing refused to take a 2 card payment, American Express and my debit Bank card...I was told that I could pay this way, so..I told them that I would have to go to my bank around the corner, so technician followed me. I gave him CASH and then gave him my American Express card...they said my card was declined, they tried again, still declined..what a HASSLE!! I called American Express once again, to ask why they card was decline and American Express said that no attempts had been made at all for any purchases or transactions...Hmmm....Also, Frank blamed me for not being prepared...Uh, NO!... I made calls ahead of requesting Road Side Service, asking specific questions to ensure a smooth experience, So, that was RUDE, Frank to say that I wasn't prepared. So, finally...I was fortunate to have my son help by using his Credit card...JUST A TIP: Maybe you should complete payment transaction FIRST, before installing/servicing customers. Today (10/24/17) I had to call AAA for a suspected dead car battery. AAA sent AV Towing where I got the pleasure to meet a fantastic technician named, Luis. This gentleman was extremely knowledgeable, patiently answered all of my questions, explained some basic car mechanics to me, and just simply went above beyond. He showed me the corrosion on the battery, ran the diagnostic, and thoroughly explained the read out. As he was examining the engine he also noted a radiator leak. As he went to examine the area more closely, the entire hose broke. I know this may seem like a strange thing to appreciate, but I live in the desert with a newborn. That hose was ready to go at any moment and had I been out driving, I would have overheated the car with possible significant damage, and been stranded with an infant. The time Luis took to further examine my car prevented this from happening. He's skill set, assistance, and positive attitude are a credit to your company! Thank you again! read more

This company is in the business to TAKE your money !!! I see they deleted their last Yelp account because of my comment! Guess what, I'm going to keep commenting the same thing over and over to let everyone know about their business practices! I had my car towed due to me forgetting to place back my parking permit as required where I live. We are all human and forget. Well, I got towed while I was at work. My car was there LESS than 24 hours. I go the next morning to get my car out because it was late the night before when I got home from work to realize I had been towed, and I am greeted extremely rude by the attendant. Already passing judgement on me before I even set foot there through an intercom. Then once inside I am told I have to pay a total of $308 to get my car!!! They claim it was $218 for the tow (mid you I live within 5 miles) and $45 a day for storage. I told them they have only had my car less than 24 hours. They said they charge PER CALENDAR DAY! Really??? Now, I see that this money making scam. They are there to take your money! What is most disturbing is that they are contracted by AAA !!! I have been a AAA member for years so I filed a formal complaint with AAA for the rudeness and for their money making scheme that is taking advantage of people who are just trying to get their car back. I lost $308 that could of been used for my kids. I am a hardworking parent and it angers me so much that they do this to people EVERYDAY !! Do not use AV Towing for any of your needs. I am hoping after my complaint that AAA will remove them as a contractor. read more

I agree that one star is too high. AV TOWING are criminals. They came out and stole my car out of the parking stall at about 4:00 am. My car wasn't registered, because it wasn't smog yet. The police explained that they had some agreement with the city and they could do this. I decided to let the van go and only ask for my belongs that were in the van. They would not return my children's things that were in our van. They were very rude and unprofessional. Recently I needed a tow with another car and AAA called them out to help....I almost had a baby, and I'm not pregnant. read more

Don't know where they found this "Driver" but, they should give him back IMMEDIATELY!! Argued about everything, WHY? When I called AAA for the tow, I told them yr, make, model of car and I saw the information on the sheet but, this guy argued about the car info. and this was wrong car. Argued about if the car could be towed instead of using a "flatbed truck" (low profile sports car). Argued about there I wanted it towed to. Once he finally loaded my car (he had to make numerous calls before he did) and drove to the destination, again with the ARGUING! Finally I just had to ask if I had to unload it or if he was going to do his job? My neighbor witnessed his attitude when he picked up the car & there were witnesses where it was dropped off at. None of them could believe his comments/attitude. I did report this company to AAA & was informed they had many complaints about them. My question to AAA, why send them out? AAA replied, the other companies were busy, AV Tow was only company with truck available. NO WONDER!! Update: AV Tow called to ask about my experience. I told the girl who then wanted to connect me with someone else. Told her I wrote my opinion and didn't have time to talk. Guess, along with being rude, they don't understand English. Got another call from someone else at AV Tow. She asked what was wrong and as I was talking, this RUDE B*/_&! kept talking over me. I got a little louder and she accused me of being rude. Worst customer service ive ever had! I got my vehicle towed from my work place because i was in someone elses spot?? But there were no identification markers saying so! I askes who gave them the auth and the man Kilo who i was speaking to said good question i had to ask why we were even towing it! Shouldnt he know before he takes it. It had no keys so he illegally opened my car to unlock the stering wheel. When i showed my check stub i work there they told me they can't help me. I demanded to talk to the owner and i was denied that as well. When i finally found all the money for the 250 fee that ended up being 340 for some reason a man in a red nissan truck stopped in the driveway where i was at speaking to the driver honking and being rude telling me get and move waving his hands around. Then gets out after im like Wth and states he dont work there and then says i didnt say that after i told him mind his own business if he dont work there! There proceeded to start stuff with my husband so very rude and disrespectful and all in front of my daughter. Jose with AV Towing deserves a world of praise. Our son landed his "new" used GTI in a ditch on a curvy canyon road while avoiding hitting a coyote. The car was at a 45 degree angle leaning on the passenger side between a dirt embankment and a tree. Just behind the car was a cement wall. When Jose first arrived to tow the vehicle, he was doubtful he could get the car free without inflicting further damage. However, he skillfully backed his flatbed tow truck down an opening in the canyon behind the vehicle. He then hooked up his winch and very slowly began dragging the car backwards from the rear axle. The fear was the vehicle would roll over on its roof when moved. However, because he carefully and slowly tugged the car, it slowly began to lower in an upright position. Another concern was that the vehicle would hit the cement wall if it actually managed to set down in an upright position. Jose was able to not only upright the car, but completely avoid the cement wall. He was able to load the injured GTI onto his flatbed tow truck without inflicting any additional damage. Thanks, Jose! I had to get my car towed 50+ miles and Triple A assigned me to this towing company. They sent out an employee named Trey. Hands down, the best customer service I've ever received (no joke, Triple A should use him as an example of amazing roadside assistance)! He took all the stress out of a frustrating situation and had a good sense of humor about it. Trey also ran into some issues getting my car onto the towbed but I appreciate that he put some serious thought into figuring it out and was really positive about the whole thing. If you need to use this company, ask for Trey. I highly recommend him! read more

I had called them to ask them some questions regarding a car that was towed and the lady crystal instead of helping and clarifying just started to be so rude ,seriously no customer service what so ever . The driver was extremely rude and the office people from AV towing do not help, instead "Crystal" answers with sarcasm to the complaint. A car in my apartment complex was being towed and he blocked the road to exit for 10-15 minutes inconveniencing others residents. Very rude overall, I will also be contacting my management complex and AAA who they associate with, bad company I will recommend NOT to provide them with any business. read more
