My Grandfather was a Farmer all of his life, and we wanted to pay tribute to that in his funeral arrangements. My Aunt and I walked into to Village Flower Shop with our arms full of hats, dried corn, gourds, toy tractors and pictures of ideas we printed out from the internet, not quite sure what to expect. The staff were so compassionate, helpful and-- most of all-- enthusiastic about doing something a little different. My Grandfather had pre-paid for many of his expenses, including flowers, and the florist we worked with came up with some fantastic ideas that fit our budget. She listened to the things that were important to us, and made recommendations on the specific types of flowers that would complement our color scheme and personal items. The corn and gourds that we had brought were the last batch my Grandfather had harvested, so she even took special care to return to us anything that they didn't end up using in the arrangements. As many of us have unfortunately experienced, the list of to-do items leading up to a funeral is quite overwhelming and stressful. The team at Village Floral not only put our mind at ease that they would bring our vision to fruition, but my Aunt and I actually had a blast working with them. We both left with big smiles on our faces-- the first time we had smiled in days! When the day of the wake came, my family and I were blown away at the end results. The casket and easel sprays were even more beautiful than we could have imagined, and you could tell that they were assembled with love. That evening, throughout the next day, and even now (months later) we continue to receive countless compliments on the arrangements. I called a bit late in the day asking if it was possible to deliver a bouquet before they closed - they said yes! Within a couple hours a vase of beautiful cut flowers was at my sister and brother-in-law's house. I asked for an arrangement not too formal and in soothing colors for a couple feeling overwhelmed from grieving during a time of too many obligations they could not get away from. I had Aimee take care of my wedding flowers. There are no words I can describe how grateful I am that I found her. First of all, when I started talking to Aimee we where around month before the wedding, so I was very stressed and was freaking out. Aimee was always there to reply fast and answer all of my questions. I called her on Saturday morning and she agreed to see me the same afternoon. She just has very positive personality and as soon as I saw her I knew that she would be the best person for the job. She helped me figure out what exactly I want, and it was the smoothest vendor communication that I had. The flowers turned out beautiful. I picked 3 single roses in a cylinder vase. The roses were just incredible, very big and full. The color was exact match of what I imagined. My bouquet and bridesmaid bouquets turned out way better then the sample Pictures I showed her. She just did so well and I seriously from the day one didn't worry about anything. It felt so good to go into my wedding day and not worry about the flowers. And the prices were great, lower then what I got quoted at other flower shops. She also helped me work the price out and adjust some things until I was completely satisfied. They are great in their attitudes and friendliness They are great in their patience. Recently, I placed an order for pickup well in advance for Feb. 13th. The day before valentines day. I watched all these knucklehead procrastinator guys with panic in their eyes pile in there 5 MINUTEs before closing , and these 2 took them all on, smiling, and without any pre-orders. My orders (ive now done 6) are very well priced. Beautifully done. We seem to always get a genuine compliement to how nice they look vs. others. The arrangements are clever, look really unique and its obvious theres a lot of skill and experience at work. The flowers are super fresh always---- and last a long time.
